    Everyone who is bitching about these cars has obviously never driven them. My Mach E GT is the nicest car I've ever owned. My previous car, a 2008 Mustang GT Premium, was costing me over 300 a month on gas. In the 2 months that I've had my Mach E, I've spent MAYBE 100 on charging. And I don't have a home charger setup either. Who cares that they called it a Mustang? The range is fine. I drive 60 miles a day and there are no problems. You think it's not fast? I blew the doors off a Challenger RT who kept trying to race me. Yes they are more expensive than a Tesla. For now. With all the competitors coming on the market, the pricing will change. ANd pretty soon we'll have access to the Tesla charging network. This is the future, my friends.

    Just bought one. Have had three gas mustangs including 2 GTs. This is a great car. Is it a “mustang”? Not a “mustang”? Who cares. Are the 1976 gen 2, 1980 or 1990 atrocities “mustangs”? Guys. It’s marketing. Get over it. They could have called this the “Optimus Prime Mach 2 Billion” and it would be still be what it is: the best performing EV SUV you can get.

    They are not selling because nobody wants to be that guy with an SUV pretending to be a coupe muscle car. It's like Porsche would launch a new mini-van and slapping the 911 badge on it. Note that it's not so much that it's an EV, it's mostly people feel they are posers with a horse on a non-Mustang. I don't understand what the hell Ford marketing were smoking when they came up with this. One visit to one Mustang meet should have told them what they needed to know about who the target audience of the Mustang is.

      I completely agree with this. Go to any enthusiast page and this is brought up all the time. Of course the people that want it keep glossing over this argument for the "you don't like it because it's an EV" argument. If it drives well, and is comfy ride, not harsh like the Tesla, and has good fit and finish and a competitive price, I would consider buying it regardless of the name. I love the looks of the thing. And it definitely has similar looks to the Mustang. Would I have named it Mustang E Mach? no. but that name would not bother me a bit. I don't think anyone buying it is trying to ride the Mustang name plate, they simply want an EV with some of characteristics I listed above. With the prices dropping, I am definitely in market, I drive a shit ton of miles close in, not interstate. And no, I would not be taking the E Mach to Mustang meetups. But with Ford being able to utilize the Tesla chargers in the future, that would be huge.

    • @teamcaveman
      @teamcaveman ปีที่แล้ว +1

      One thing about the Mach-e is that it’s not fragile. Long distance is a hassle, but that’s why I bought. Don’t know what phantom braking is but I’m yet to experience that. Having both EV and 2 other ICE vehicles I drive the EV every chance I get; when the Mrs. isn’t using it. I dread going to gas stations, having my own charger for the EV. Until you drive one, I’m telling you every day commute and errands are way better in the EV. There’s very few cars can touch you on the street. It handles pretty well, way better than my previous crossover. Im wondering if the Mach-e screwed these mustang owners wives because they hate them so much.

Ford put this safeguard in their 12 second quarter mile Mach E GT to maintain 70% Battery life for the owner of the car and the future owner if the Mach E is a lease return or traded in. You are about the only person who rates a Ford above a Tesla. The ACTAUAL (fact over fiction) sales of a vehicle vs just talking points where the Tesla destroys Ford EV's in EVERY SINGLE METRICS....
    If what you were saying was even REMOTELY true, then the opposite would be true. Only a fool would spend $70K after taxes on a Ford over a Tesla. Now that is a fact based on real world sales of people actually buying cars. A ridiculous huge vertical screen with a giant knob at the bottom for volume. ALL unnecessary buttons and knobs of the the past are still there on this car. It's dated to say the least.
    ALSO, may I add that after you initially set up your driver profile in a Tesla, you seldom if ever need to go back into the settings on the screen to change anything... In essence the knobs and buttons are pointless. Off topic but it reminds me of the paddle shifters Lexus threw on their first EV SUV. The shifters change the amount of regenerative braking.... That makes ZERO sense to have physical paddles for a feature you set ONCE and NEVER touch again.... You also failed to mention that in a Tesla you can just speak to the car to turn on the wipers to the level you want them too, or set the temperature by simply saying it. No need to ever touch a knob or dial, nothing is more convenient than saying what you want and the car doing it.
    How often does one change say a temperature? Think about it.... If you set it for 66 degrees in the summer, the vehicle will ALWAYS be at that temperature, no different than a home's A/C. You don't see people running to their Central AC at home and messing with the temperature all the time. You set it and forget it.... Times change, holding on to the past to appease those that are still caught up in the past at the expense of the current generation that have grown up with "screens" without buttons and knobs in their hands from phones to tablets. Shows how old and non-contemporary Ford truly is. Kodak and Xerox also held on to the past.... Now they are a shell of the powerhouse they once were. They refused to understand the shift in user preference and the 'comfort' of the buying public with the 'new' technology (digital photography).... The 'new' tech the upper echelon felt was too radical and too complicated... History proved otherwise.
    I get it, you want to be invited back by this dealership to do another review so obviously you have to narrate carefully. This was a half baked "review" if you can even call it that. This vehicle is NOT selling just like the F-150 Lightning because no one is buying the 'marketing' that it's better than a Tesla.... F150 Lightning supposedly had 200K pre-orders. They only sold I believe 50K, however if you are to go to the Ford site and order one today you can get yours in less than 3 months. So the question remains, what happened to all those supposed pre-orders? How is it possible that your delivery date is less than three months if you order today when there are still ALLEGEDLY 150K pre-orders pending??? Maybe do a review on Ford's big LIE.... Redeem yourself and channel for a sloppy hit piece you just did. I was expecting much more detail and substance, such as, how inadequate the range is vs the size of the battery (NOT EFFICENT ~ larger battery than a Tesla Model Y to go LESS RANGE ~ hence costs more to charge to go less distance), also how the trunk is way smaller than the Model Y that you tried to pass it off as (functional) and also 0-60 speed still pales in comparison to a Model Y Performance. As aforementioned in every single metric the Ford fails against a Tesla from price, efficiency to performance.
    Even the Ford CEO is delusional. He just recently stated that the F150 Lightning is for people who use trucks for their work while the Tesla Cybertruck is for people who park outside their office building. LOGCIALLY think about it.... A Cybertruck is made of stainless steel NOT aluminum. A Cybertruck is impervious to dents and scratches, it has a FULL 6.5 ft bed vs the Lightning with it's 5 ft bed. On a construction site would I want a dainty truck that I have to worry about rusting, denting or being scratched or a truly rugged stainless steel vehicle that can take abuse..... Anyone with common sense would dissect what Jim Farley said and immediately come to a realization that he was actually 'reversing' his trucks capability for that of the Cybertruck. His pretty pained truck is meant for the office executive, nicely parked in a garage where there's no chance of having it's pretty paint scratched or it's side panel dented by someone opening their door into it.

    First these should not have been called Mustang. Like GM little cross over should not have been called Blazer. Second the srating price should be around 30k for the base model. Ford does not have the charging network of Tesla. They are not cool like Tesla. The technology is inferior and so on. I know they wanna compete and they are already selling these at loss. @@akennedystocks fit and finish. To some people the looks. People who used to regular cars and not Tesla have easier time crossing over to the Mach-e. TH-camrs talk about performance this and that, but in every day driving some think the Mach is more user friendly. For some reason Tesla people make excuses for Tesla’s problems, but look for anything to put the Mach-e down. Most Tesla owners have only owned teslas or it’s the first expensive vehicle they’ve owned. I don’t hate Tesla, but I’m not spending $60k on a vehicle hoping I don’t get a bad one, and I’ve seen really bad ones. So you’re biased in saying in every way…I agree there are many. But I have no problems with my wife’s Mach e GT, and I have a GT500 and have had many other cars before that…from 1965 2+2 mustangs to fox body cobra to German vehicles to Japanese vehicles and now 2 mustangs. Please stop riding the Tesla high horse and stop thinking the same things you like about Tesla are the same things everyone values in a vehicle. Why would you even troll a Mach e video…just to rant about teslas? This video shouldn’t even concern you but you seem to want to push your Tesla values on people who could care less about teslas
