Congrats! I recently came out at work after stressing about it for so long and it became a day that easily makes my top 5-10 best moments in my life. I cried for half an hour or so from the overwhelming waves of support, care, respect, acceptance, and love from coworker after coworker. Last week was the first time I've been in public there at the office and I could not have hoped for a better experience. They all began using my new name (which I haven't changed on youtube yet) without any prompting from myself and it only went up from there. I wish I could share this experience with every single one of our siblings in the gender spectrum and know I'm privileged in many ways so I try to share what I can to help others like myself.
I came out shortly after earning a promotion in 2018. After nearly six years on the job, I became a trainer. This is a small city, and although the dominant attitude is liberal, my coworkers are by nature rather conservative. It wasn't too bad, I expected worse than it was. Several of my coworkers and MY BOSS support me, only a few refuse to initiate conversation, citing "it ain't a real thing" but they are solidly in the minority. My name was the easy transition for them, but pronouns remain a thorny issue for some. Oh well. My clients are more important than them anyway,
Congrats! 🎉😊 I came out at work in March 2021. Even prepared and printed out a document to hand to my coworkers when I told them in a short speech. 😂 I was so nervous and happy at the same time. At that point I had been on HRT since November 2020.
