$ 2,000 for 5 years is a good buy. Thankful tjose are needed in cambodia, indonesia even for agricultural n village usage. We dont need volkwagen , mercedes to do our daily job. Some villages still transport water , food, every day living work. It will be a hit cos we can alternate with cows, horses, donkeys using small roads n path. The western n white only want 4 wheel vehicles n big lorries to transport containers
I'm glad you mention cows, horses and donkeys, you will need these animals to tow this car every time it breaks down. Remember the bad smell of low quality lasts a lot longer than the sweet smell of a cheap price.
I suppose this truck is designed for the poor rural people in China especially those in small agri-business. The main objective is transportability of goods across not very long distances. Anyway, one should admire them for just $2K!
There's videos of what people ACTUALLY paid to get these delivered to their doorsteps. Until they come up with some sort of a distribution network to make them more affordable, most people are not gonna wanna shell out that kinda money. Plus, so many states need to update their laws concerning these sorts of vehicles so that the HSV versions can also be a viable option too.

For 2000 bucks this tiny truck is really not bad. Good on far back dirt roads and you're own property. Shipping cost is what drives the price to over 6 thousand dollars.

It's more like triple+ the price when you include shipping, importing, and shipping again.
For $2000 an American company can’t even give you the wooden crate used to deliver the truck to your house! Oh, the cost of delivering the truck to your house would exceed $2000 as well! The Americans may cry about the quality of this truck for not living up to the quality of a $40,00 truck, but for the money no American company can ever give you anything as good as this truck! I promise you that! If you want quality spend $20,000 on a Chinese truck and quality would blow every American truck out of the parking lot! The actual truck may only costs $10,000 but the US government makes it more expensive by adding a 100% tariff rate on it to intentionally make Chinese cars and trucks more expensive to keep them from putting the American auto industry out of business! A great base vehicle to customize
I looked into these, 2000 is a bit of an undersell. Its 2000 without the battery, you have to pay extra for that, plus when you get one shipped over they are closer to 6 grand or more, a TH-camr got one with all the extra add ons and it was about 8 grand. You can get something better for that price. I would be interested to see how the company could do importing future models though, the idea has merit for sure. I would love a cheap little runner to go get groceries or go to work in
This sector will grow snd grow. People want cheap, simple and cheap(but safe) transportation. Expensive options and sophisticated electronics / technology is not needed. The EV companies will die of death and simple, good value vehicles will take over..

The car's limitations do not mean anything, since you know before purchasing if it's good enough for your needs. A Lamborghini is not capable for a family trip like my KIA Stonic is. If you buy a Lamborghini and then complain it does not fit the children, it's not the car's fault.
Looks like it would be nice to use as a Farm vehicle (Mule) or to replace a golf-cart... $2,000 is a lot cheaper than most golf carts.

And you'll have to have your paperwork for the port thorities and everything else you can buy a place in Texas to get some of these and I'd advise you to do the off-road wills from a quad and the suspension thereof to make it real useful and off-road

This proves that it does what it was meant to do and the USA must get away from BIG vehicles. And those commenting saying it's not fast. Hello people it's designed for a practical purpose. It's ironic how a country like the USA who wants to force the fake climate agenda on other countries still manufactures BIG trucks and SUV's like many of the European countries. Change your outlook people. The vehicle works because it was built in a country that is practical. We also need to realise that even if these vehicles were safe they would still be cheaper but I guess manufacturers of vehicles in the USA would loose profits that's why even great Chinese cars are not seen on USA roads because local manufacturers like to have the monopoly. Look at vehicles from BIAC, CHERY,BYD...plus numerous others they ahead of the curve with regards value for money. The times they are a changing.

It's cheap because it's made really really cheap, I'm not saying is bad but, the chassis is as cheap made as possible, the welding is super minimalist, the bars of the chassis aren't fully stiffened with the welding because they only apply it in spots, not a continuum line looping the union of the bars, which are 1x1, 2x1 and 3x2 inch structural square tubes, so expect doing some welding and adding some reinforcement if you want to level up the durability. The bodywork is okay, made in assembly press and the electronics are simple. By the way the it costs 2000 USD if you buy it in china, and it's the very base form, which barely can make 40 miles of range, if you level up the options, a more capable battery (lead) and other stuff, you can get more range but the price goes up almost double

Considering what has been happening in China lately with the stuff they make, I wouldn't trust going down my driveway to the mailbox and back with this thing, a tire would probably fall off or something.
They can proudly call it the "Tofu Dreg".
It could not be any worse than my Made in China Zap car. The first week I drove it I stopped at a red light and the mounting bolts broke off the driver's seat and threw me backwards. I could not see anything outside the car. I was afraid I was rolling into the intersection. I managed to get the car to the curb and drove back home sitting on a milk crate. I purchased it as a demo car from a bankrupt dealer. I drove it for four years and received a notice that the brakes did not meet federal standards and the factory was recalling them to be crushed. I only paid. $2,900.00 for and when they came to pick it up with a tow truck the guy gave me a check for four grand. NEVER BUY A CAR FROM CHINA!
