Would like Millennial Farmer, How Farms Work and Brian's Farming Video to have a shot at one of these monstrous beauties to test drive for spring tillage and planting. It would be epic. Great exposure as well since they all have several thousand subscribers all over the world.
Well, I now need a 1:32 model of one of these to go in my collection. I’m still waiting for a 9RX lol. I’ll have to visit the dealer in Leesburg Florida when we are over there in March. Very different looking machine.

Great video as always. It still has the camber issue even with tracks on it. This will wear off the outside of the front belts just like the others wear the outside of the fron tires.
My brother works for a Deere dealership here in California. He ran up on one of these field testing and they told him to get the hell out of there, he wasn’t supposed to see it. I still have the pictures on my phone😂😂😂
They need them to pull the beet lifters up here through the rain soaked fields of West central Minnesota. Can't believe you haven't been here videoing the muddy American Crystal sugar beet harvest.

since some fields are 5 or more miles apart what is the mileage on pavement on those tracks ? And for those of you who didn't notice/know those are DOT turn signals, it is allow on the streets in most states.
I do like how JD have kept their ‘slant’ steering lock, even on this track variant. On full lock, the inside track leans out, the same as the old 36 series machines did.
I'll bet your buddies at Garnet farms will have access to one some how or another!! This machinery is just incredible , the world is leaving the feet draggers behind , gotta get on the bus somehow , I'll agree with the rest I watched JDs intro and yours was every bit as good !! If your going to have 4 tracks to take care of anyways why not just get the 9rx narrow track. Would’ve made more sense to have tires on the front in my opinion.
I think it give different options for different crops such as potato and cotton farmers that would like to reduce compaction and don’t need the size of a 9RX. Here in this area this will be popular for strip till and planting.
It appears to have a tighter turn radius than I expected. I like to see draw bar and lift arms easily. A few international and Deere tractors have rear mounted fuel tanks. I hate having to lean back when hooking up things.
I would like to see a side by side comparison between this and a CaseIH Steiger Rowtrac. I would think the articulated tractor will have much better performance.
Would love to get a chance to field test it. Hooked up to something that will really work it. 7-bottom rollover plow similar to the ones used in Europe.
@@mikeletson5161 Here in central Indiana old school thinking was roughly 20hp-25hp per bottom. My late uncle was a DMI zone rep and I remember him saying that. Plus a rollover plow is heavy too.
Did they move the air vents back to the steering column??! Or are they in both places now? That was, in my opinion, the best upgrade from the older 8000 to the r series. Ventilation was 100x better in the r’s. You could burn up in the older ones!
How is it tanking? What prices are in the ditch? Are you one of these people looking at those high prices for 10 years ago? If the farmer thinks they can afford to buy it why would they go broke? Plus need those new gadgets to help production and to be more efficient.
Good morning Jayson, Cool new model. I'm surprised the engine compartment is not covered for protection. 1st time I've seen 4 traks on a non articulated tractor. So did you enjoy your test drive and how many will you be ordering. Enjoyed test drive new John Deere 8RX tractor on a gloomy day🚜👍
I happen's right after he lowers the rpm's so I think its turbo kicked in I live and work at a farm and most of the tractors do that but all of them are tuned so that make the turbo whistle alot.. But you mite be right.
@@farmerwes2520 it is absolutely not the turbo. You barely hear the turbos on 8r's because of the aftertreatment. It's the ivt, the hydro unit working up and down.

I f you want to make that kind of comparison, I´d rather say Lamborghini because of the lines in the design. Very modern design but it´ll grow on us :D
How does the new left hand reverser work? Is it like case's crappy one that you have to bump or does this go forward and back and with a park position like the old one??
Question: What is the fill cap for behind the rear glass? I think you need to make a more indepth video on these tractors, make sure to point out what every thing an operator will interact with is Pros: The step/ladder on right side to be able to clean the window, the wiper has been there for awhile now. Cons: less knobs and physical buttons for cab controls. More things ran through the touchscreen is not ideal imo.
How is the leg room when the chair swivels? Can you sit with your legs straight towards the window or are your legs all twisted up so you can't sit straight on the seat like the current cabs? I also can't wait for them to come out with 144" center to center axle spread so we can actually use one.

At 370 hp, it could easily pull a 10 furrow rollover plough

I think its not turbo, but IVT transmision, if you mean that whistling sound.
