Thank you so much for making this tutorial! It's exactly what I was looking for - an easy way to make flats, as I've only just started making tiny clothes and more advanced patterns are way too complicated for me
Aww thank you so much for your kind feedback☺I'm so happy it helped! I'll try to make new ones but to be honest I find shoe making very challenging and I'm afraid most of the time to explore 😅 But I'll try again, I promise!
@@themidnightmousedollhouseit is very challenging, i remember i have try like i was in 15 yrs pld to make barbie shoes, and damn it was a nonstop struggling and every idea i has was like backlash😂 there is always something wrong, not making shoe last, uses of glues, etc😂 its always something not right! Haha and i was almost 2 yrs not making doll shoes n i pick courage to make one again, and my god, its like a battle field😂
Oh boy, the smaller the shoes are, the harder they are to make in my opinion. I tried for Barbie too, when I was a kid and I only had clay at that time. They were such a fail and got me so frustrated :))) I only tried these as they seemed a bit bigger and I wanted to see how it feels. But I still find it as a messy process and as you say, there's always something going wrong and there's glue everywhere. I mostly prefer to buy them but as an exercise I find it nice to try from time to time, just to see how it goes
@@themidnightmousedollhouse ikr huhu but i tried on bigger rounder shape doll feet, haha😂 i’m not even finishing the half shoe, i give up😂😂😂 i tried to follow your steps n tricks tho, mehhh i guess i just domt have talent😂 i just continuemaking doll clothes then haha thats! I definitely has talent. first time i make yukata 3 weeks agoo, my, damnn i am good in pattern making😂😂😂 #sorrytopaisemyselfhere haha but faild in shoe making😂
Thank you Mirisuru for your feedback 😊 To be honest, is not that difficult ... in theory. But the practice is a bit more trickier. For example, I used a very thin thread which cut through the PU leather. I was lucky with those thinner and more flexible which I shown in the clip :))
Hi Veronika, thank you for your feedback. I will add more in time as I will learn to create new models. If you will need help, you can always write me 😊
I'm afraid I do not, I drew this by hand a few years ago. It was my only time trying to do doll shoes just to see how I can handle it for the first try. I do not have the doll I made it for but if it helps it was a DollZone B27-004 body. My advice, just have a look on Pinterest for a general shoe form and start cutting a few up until you nail the shape you would like. That's how I did it. I refined it to a point where it matched the foot I needed to. I know all this is not a template but I hope it will not discourage you to try and find your own way around it. I just wanted to show that you can do it even if you do not have much knowledge about the process.
Hi Fernanda ☺ I draw everything by hand, I do not have a professionally made pattern but If you would like to I can scan it for you. If you are interested please write me on Facebook or Instagram and I will be able to share with you a pdf file there. In terms of measurements, the sole has 4.2 cm by 1 cm at heel and 1.7 cm at the toes (thicker part ) I simply took the doll foot, draw the shape and then polished a few times up I reached something that fits well with the thickness of the pleather I have.
I'm afraid I do not have those dolls anymore, I'm unable to measure them however I can give you the company measurements which are: Foot length: 4cm Foot width: 1.5cm The shoes were made for Doll Zone B27-004 body. Home this helps!
Hi Reece, I just used the foot to trace the shape, then I adjust it a bit on paper and used chipboard as a sole, to shape the shoe. Now the hardest part was to drag the leather over the sole and keep enough over the foot...I had to fiddle a bit by creating tension under the sole, using thread and hot glue. Another tricky part was the pattern itself, for this one I had many attempts until I found the right length and shape. I think you can use washi tape or masking tape to create the foot shape, same as o creating a corset. However, when I created these shoes, I did not knew the tape method. I hope this helps but if you need more details, I'll be here to answer. Have a lovely day! 😊

The bows and pompoms make them look so darn cute i want them for myself 😍
Thank you Ania 🥰 To be honest, I would also love a pair with pompoms 💖
Thank you for the demonstration. It makes me think that I might be able to make doll shoes 🤞😊.

Amazing! Why have I never thought ot sewing the leather!
Maybe on your case glue worked better, in mine it failed 😂

How do you trace the shoe front?
Hi Reece,
I just used the foot to trace the shape, then I adjust it a bit on paper and used chipboard as a sole, to shape the shoe.
