Verbal abuse is still abuse!!! People have no idea how long their words stay in someone's mind, long after it has been said.
This movie was wild. The fact that that abuse comes in so many forms but ultimately and sadly ends up with bad outcomes. I am so glad that I came across this movie because it really was brilliantly executed. Two thumbs up. 👍🏻

Anyone can be abused. But yes, victims need to have a safe space to be able to reach out for help when needed.

I am a survivor. I thank God everyday. Today, I help others that have experienced abuse and toxic relationships. So sad, how her husbands ignorance and controlling behavior made her feel bad about herself. The husband is to honor his wife. He and his dad was sick.
As a woman who has been through such familiar abuse in my previous marriage i would advise any lady to walk away from abusers coz they never change sadly😢

2023, I happy you found peace. The same thing almost happened to me. He pushed to far and the hunter became the hunted. He was shock!! He had to leave town and never came back..

It's amazing how we can often give the counsel we often need most. Sometimes, God places you in other people's path to speak to them and you through you.

Crazy movie, great message!! You never know what’s going on in someone’s marriage.. a lot of women cover up what is really going on in the inside and the world will be thinking they have this great guy. 😢 Mental and physical abuse is the worst. You don’t even wanna be at home!! Living by myself and paying all the bills alone may be more stressful but it is so calming and peaceful.. when you are living with a toxic person weather emotionally or physically, everyday feels like forever!! Your home should be a sanctuary to escape work and stress. The man who used the Bible to justify all his actions made me so mad! What a douche bag!! Do not use your interpretation of the Bible to justify your unholy actions!! I bet there are a lot of holy leaders really like that !! Also, this is the sad reality of a lot of stay at home moms, and they fear leaving because they don’t have a place of their own, money and/or family they can confide in and live with until they get on their feet.
My empty bed is looking really good tonight. Most nights are fine but tonight it looks especially welcoming. 😊

Dynamic storyline. The actors/actresses were very believable. So sad that women and men deal with so many emotions. When love becomes a burden, it is time to exit.

This movie is enlightening to forms of abuse these two women endured. The Pastors abuse was so mentally and emotionally abusive quite frankly it's not surprising that is wife tried to end her life. The police officers wife endured physical and emotional abuse. As a victim of both forms of abuse I had the courage to leave I just hate that most women do not feel that they have a choice.
It’s really depends on culture. I’m from Africa and I’m actually leaving the same situation. I’ve become feeling like dead is better than leaving the way I leave. But each time I complain, the fault is always mine, even my own family members treat me. They tell me to keep enduring as this is how every women does. My own mum told if I leave I forget I have a mum.

As is well known the most dangerous time for a woman is when she decides to leave. A restraining order means nothing as seen here and women are killed in the daylight hrs in public sometimes. Men often want control and when they don't have it they can't handle it. Good movie for sure.
So many messages that come from this movie. But in all.. to successfully overcome a terrible situation in a relationship, you got to exit it. Love doesn't hurt, but caters to the soul. So when you're being harmed that's not love.

Yes, it may be difficult especially as you have invested a lot of emotions in it. The faster you come in grips with what it isn't going to be, and walk away. The sooner you'll come closer to recuperate, begin a new chapter with "just self first".

A woman who cannot file a report against her husband because he's working for the law, and everything she says is brushed aside and under the carpet... Sad 💔 but I'm glad I came across this movie for I can relate, women in our societies are going through the same thing to date. Victims @ the hands of their Loved ones. @@einiaronthat’s ok. They split when I was 12 but he married a few years later and within a month or two he started abusing his new wife for years till she divorced him. They were in their 50’s. Same as with my mom, every time the police came, he made it sound like it was my mom and his wife fault and he was helpless. He never married my mom though

But they forget the other part of the verse that says Christ is the head of the church and gave his life for it so is the husband the head of the wife and he's to give his life for her and his family. And when the husband being the head can lay his life down for the wife and his family it's easy to submit. But when the husband just wants to slam down his fist and say submit, sorry boys That's not biblical

Unfortunately this isnt new, this has been happening for decades. This is what it looks like when people male and female are not healed from traumas, hurt, pain, false belief systems etc…. And until we heal it will continue. Sadly. Most Males dont seek to heal but carry the cycle of abuse all levels, not just physical and making excuses, ignoring it won’t make it go away.
The pastor is so much like my ex husband. Preaching to everyone but in reality does the opposite
