Hi MM,Thanks, it took me one year and a week from start to launch. I seriously looked at jet ski power, but the durability of the motors was a concern. I'm in the middle of restoring the outboard. It is only 60 years old, and it should last another 60 when I'm done.Look me up on the Glen L forums, I'll be happy to answer any questions.

beauty! would be perfect with a 2cyl looper on it. 40mph and plenty of power for a skier. that little 10hp (cant be an 18?) is great on gas though the 40hp would be similar at cruise.

That thing is fantastic. I may be doing your exact build. I think I may go for the jet drive, though. Thanks from sharing. I hope to be able to contact you for some pointers along the way. How long did this build take you?

What is the length of this boat?

Hi Graham, The Glen L Squirt plans are drawn for the boat to be 10' long. Like most of the Glen L designs, you can stretch them up to 10% by re-spacing the formers. Mine is stretched to 10' 10" because it was the longest boat I could build in my basement and still get it up the stairs and make the corner at the top. I did a lot of measuring and 3D drawings to make sure it would fit, and did a test run up the stairs once the hull was solid enough to remove from the forms.
