We are going on the seashore in two weeks to this Island. Have a tour of the cigar factory, choclate shop and a rum place. Can't wait to see the port. Thanks for your insight of the city
Hey Kelley, thanks for stopping by! ☺️ Yeah, Puerto Plata has definitely clear waters for snorkeling 🤿, well, it all depends on weather cause if the ocean is too rough, water gets cloudy! More towards Amber Cove and a lil aways from downtown Puerto Plata is more likely to have locations for snorkel, I’m actually not sure near the city cause I’ve only done the tour on land!

No need to be brave to walk around POP. Is actually safer than any average U.S city. It’s safer than the average Dominican city. Practice the same caution you would practice in any touristic place.
I’m from Brazil, I know some people need some bravery to walk around some cities! But like u said, no need to be brave in Puerto Plata, I found it very chill! Still, we have to let people know what the possibilities can be, specially the American tourist, like my hubby Rob, who is always concern about that in other countries! Thanks for watching! Guga
Hi Tracy, not a 100% sure, but I think its included for cruise passengers docked in there! There are extra cost things to do in there like monkey encounter, cabanas for rent, fish pedicure, but I think the pool is included, specially if you’re drinking at bar! Guga

Ginny, I’m still around :). I have chronic back pain, which is why I don’t walk around. Guga likes to stop at every store and explore every fort :). Those don’t interest me. I would rather stay on the ship and enjoy the amenities. Rob

I will be there in June and was wondering if Pink street was in walking distance to the cruise ship. I did Ocean World on my first visit too.
Hey Brian, it is about a 15min walk from Taino Bay! But if your cruise goes to Amber Cove, then the only way is bus or cab 🚕!
