At first I saw it was an hour-long episode and I was like "ugh, this is going to drag on" But oh my god, that was the fastest & most action-packed hour and eight minutes of casting I've ever watched. This game was a legend. Is it possible for you to add a little (Game 4 of 7) in the titles, so in the future we know where in the match this is?
A) it should have ended when team ma had "a straight line to the touchdown". B) you can see the score are at the top so you can see which game it is if you're interested.
OMG that game was so sick. They knew that the only way they could win was by holding a big mass of archers and paladins and that suicide attacks to the trade might not be helpful in the long run, specially because they knew they were way behind in trade. All they could do was hope they could slow down wood and food income as much as possible, so trading became less and less profitable for Secret, while at the same time taking full advantage of their civs strenghts. I guess the only chance Viper and Tatoh really had was denied by, as you said, that early opportunistic raid on Vipers Fast Imp and how Leary was able to protect Hera from Tatoh and what remained of Vipers army. Without Hera, Leary was dead, and he played his cards really well and Hera got on his feet quickly enough. Maybe Tatoh and Viper could have won if they didn't focus the attack only on Hera but insted pushed both early enough. A focused attack might be faster I guess, but at the expense of narrowing the battlefield and thus fall prey to ranged and melee units that can easily take advantage of choke points and short distances. And I think that is what we saw during the main attack to Hera's base in the first half. I guess if they had spread their siege a little better, maybe they would have ended doing much more damage, but who knows. In the end, micro is also very important, maybe much more than strategy.
I think the problem for Hera and Lireyy started when they forgot to destroy the foundation of the castle that they denied to viper. viper went back and finished that castle, and that's when the push started.

When I saw Hera live, I knew his team had it in the bag, but that was an Epic battle, hard carry for herra btw he had more military than both Viper and Lierry combined. Also, seeing him build houses and gates in front of the armies is an absolute hoot every time I see it and exactly his style. Great Match!

I then repeatedly find holes in the line of defense to attack enemy trade. Once in with ranged cav it's over. I mean slowly doing that throughout the game would have fortified Viper's and Tatoh's trade and then they could go after Hera and Liereyy.
I'd like to suggest a new "Nothing map": BOOM Nothing The map itself is normal, but the only military units players can make are petards and the demolition ship line. Also petards could be created in the barracks at feudal age and receive infantry blacksmith upgrades.

Honestly I thought it was about to be because he yelled "VIPER GOT OUTPLAYED" so loud and the rest of the time I was waiting for a girl to interrupt the audio yelling at him that hes being too loud lol.
Sometimes it seems like the pros can’t help but play the meta strategies. I feel like if this was a game with non-pro players they would have concentrated on the kings a little more, there were a few points near the end where either team could have risked it all with a small force to snipe a king and win on a bold move. Brilliant game though

I don't think the gate was the deciding play. I think that Tatoh pushing too far in around 19:00, causing them to lose 2 trebs, 3 bombard cannons, and the whole push was the game changer.
In games like this, why not just add 20 farmers and have 5-6 stables spamming hussar into the trade. Then just hold with Paladin/skirm AM had open holes everywhere. Secret could have double walled as well.
@T90, what addon or settings do you use for this replay value? I've tried using CA and I've gone searching, but my own replay watching would be hugely helped if I could see all production on the right, the way you do.
