This is a dream come true watching this particular build. I have this same kart and have been wanting to build this same exact thing. Can't wait to see what you do with it Red!
If you wanted more travel from those shocks you could do cantalever suspension where there's a pivot above the frame with an arm going out both sides, one longer than the other, the short one mounts to the shock, the long one goes to a rod, going to the bottom A-arm
This is really no different than moving the lower shock mount further inboard. You'll gain travel but lose spring rate and damping. It's a fine balance.
I've seen so many karts now built from the back bone of a meh strength kart cause of starting with the geometry of the original to then beef it up is way easier than starting from scratch example if anyone else has watched grind hards odyssey build is the reason why I understand why red beard is going this route going to be a sick mini build compared to the cost of the long travel kart
There's no such thing as'overkill'when it comes to being Safe, and long lasting Solid.Hit a tree root,or rock,in the trails at 25mph,and you'll be glad it still steers straight after.
Those shocks are a bit short on travel. But remember, the greater the distance from where the shock mounts too the spindle the distance of travel is multiplied at the wheel. Not sure what the exact formula is, though there is one. It's sorta like how leverage or fulcrums work.
My 40 series torque converter is grabbing the belt toward the centre of the driven pulley under the rivet notches and getting stuck. What am I doing wrong?
Hey awesome videos you got on here, this is wasper Watson I was over at Brandon Bettis this weekend and he told me he got his go cart from you and my kids had a blast on it. So it looks like I’m in the market for one now so if you got a used one bout like Brandon’s or know where I can get one holler back at me on here thanks !
The heim joints are mounted a little far outboard without much support. Most a arms for race quads have the heim joint mounted directly to the end of the arm. It looks like the heims put too much leverage on the end of the arms and bend the threaded rod.
Love the videos... I'm looking to get into business eventually doing similar stuff... wondering if you have any advise on how to learn more on proper fabrication. Any help would be appreciated. Look for us soon! Kranky'z Powersports, out of MN. Thanks!
Wish I could find one for a 150 without a motor people in my area don't know how to sell stuff.think the last time I seen one of these someone want 500 bucks for with a bad motor
Way over kill, two, but most likely one gusset would have worked. You probably wouldn't even need to weld the gusset, most likely zip ties would have worked
The cool thing is you have the all the freedom you need (you tube) to make a video that you would agree with. I would like to see that. You might just finish something in your life.
I say this every time... But excellent job Mr. Beard......I love watching someone do top quality work
This is a dream come true watching this particular build. I have this same kart and have been wanting to build this same exact thing. Can't wait to see what you do with it Red!
One word, "SICK"!!!!
Clean and efficient work. If only manufacturers that ask gazillions for their karts had an ounce of the pride RBG has in their work.
Go on Redbeard !! you and your crew make great videos .thank you
I’m always learning new things from watching your videos.
Awesome work! that Yerfdog is going to ride great
“Just showing you what you can do with these karts”.
Cut it apart down to the bottom frame rails and floor pan, build everything else up from scratch!
I was thinking the same. I mean it's like 4 tubes short of a full chassis build lol
I need this on my 3203
Excellent 👌
That should take a fair bit of beating on mate look forward to seeing you give it the beans cheers
I love seeing you and your son work together because you dont see that much anymore nowadays keep it up guy's love watching the video's
EAT EAT EAT 🤯😃🤘🏻🐿🤘🏻 good stuff bud
Been looking for the hubs you used in this video but not having much luck.
Go power sports has them
The bolt that you used for the actual spindle, is it just a grade 8 with a 5/8 shank passed through the backside and welded? nothing special?

There are those with beards and those with cameras and karts. The ones with beard could give lessons to the latter a time or 2 over ;)
What are the rims and tires on this kart?
Nice one 🤘
Thanks.
Looks very damn close to a spindle design I did in CAD back in April....
Could this be too overkill?!?!
Go big or go home
You can never do too much overkill even if it is. Just have fun with it. And send it.

Better to overbuild it
I think your doing a great job like that said better to be safe than sorry keep it up 😀😁👍
Subbed 👍🏻👍🏻

The a arms on my yerf 3002 are bent upwards from drifting i think, what could i do to keep it from happening again
👍

What rims and tires?
How can I make an appointment to have my buggy work on your you guys?

That's cool and hey
What rack and pinion is that
It's in the description of the video
Hey Greg that's a 32001 Yerf-Dog
Wish I could find one for a 150 without a motor people in my area don't know how to sell stuff.think the last time I seen one of these someone want 500 bucks for with a bad motor
Maybe some front mud flaps or fenders since it's for kids sir

Am I in the raffle
First!!!
There is never test at end of videos, I desengage. Bye

I'm just saying why I stop following the chain, it's just an opinion, head con
