The thing that amazes me most is the fact of how many turns she does in the air, like how do you even learn that? What kind of process is it to get there? To have so much body control to do that? Impressive.

Random Commenter88 Most gymnasts who peak young do so because they are not allowing themselves sufficient recovery, practicing injured etc. The time off obviously reenergized her and she’s back stronger than before.

I feel like its easy to underestimate how much patience it takes to not twist to early. That's inspiring.
I always twist early on my double fulls its so annoying
when you take nearly two years off, go back to training, and come back stronger and better than ever! She is Number 1 before even stepping out for any event.
It looks so easy for her. It's like she's not even trying. She's like the Michael Jordan of gymnastics

Well u know she always smiles during her routines because she has fun with them and enjoys them so much. She loves what she does, that’s why she smiles. Not because she thinks they won’t count her out of bounds. So, jeremy fuhr, DO NOT disrespect her like that by suggesting that she thinks she can get anything she wants by smiling. She knew immediately that she went out of bounds but smiled because she knew she could make up for it. Don’t disrespect the GOAT of women’s gymnastics.

QPHashSS77 she is not artistic boo, she just learned her choreography and repeats it annoyingly all the time. There is no class in her routine in terms of dance etc. But she really shines in the tumbling peace, there she is creative she has her own element. But don’t lie to ur self she has no class

She is showing that Gymnasts are athletes like any other sport. I always hate seeing oh she isn't dancing or there is no artistry in her movement like huh who cares about that honestly people get excited for the tumbling not how beautiful her ballet dance is.
Paris Webb why do you think the sport is called artistic gymnastics... the sport is supposed to be performed as if it’s an art form, not just throwing big moves. Simone is so so incredible and one of my favorite gymnasts and absolutely the greatest of all time, but her artistry here wasn’t that good. her vaulting is beautiful though. she’s a power gymnast with a small and muscular structure which is most likely why she’s more inclined to tumbling moves rather than dance and choreo moves.

can someone tell me WHY tf they (who ever makes the rules) only allow the girls to breathe before ONE (1) tumbling pass? They're not allowed to stand with both feet in the corner, they have to dance into their tumbling passes because....?
It used to incorporate much more dance elements back in the day but then they started adding a lot more tumbling. They dance because it’s a performance. Standing still at a corner is not performing that’s why they have music in this apparatus.

than most gymnasts opening pass. I wouldn’t really consider these landings a struggle either. There’s a reason she’s going out of bounds and still coming out on top.

Pre season jitters she will work those out .she is simone biles common now thats how she was when she 1st debut last olympic season she had crazy uncontrolled landings an eventually. Harnessed those lands in an cleaned them up an eventually stuck them later on an won the Olympics lol give her a couple meets
