How immersive do people need things to be? Because I can watch a film on a screen the normal way and I'm fine. I don't need it beamed directly on to the back of my eyeballs. Just need a good story. That said, I can maybe understand it where games are concerned.
Imagine having to interact with the clowns who will no doubt be wearing this crap very soon. The screen zombies are bad enough. Now they'll just be staring into space waving their arms around on the bus, completely oblivious to their surroundings. The future looks grim.
"I feel a wee bit sick" "That's on you!" This is so accurate. The hostility to anyone in the Meta community who experiences any "side effects" to VR is wild, whether on Reddit or FB. When I first had my headset I started getting the shakes every time I used it. I'd feel anxious and weird. This is common and wears off the more you use it and your brain gets used to it, but I had people tell me I was mentally ill and needed to seek help. I saw this behaviour toward others too. 100% has to be employees of Meta.
Those Orion glasses are effectively holographic, the AR objects practically fit the definition of holograms. The glasses are not smooth/solid lenses, they have microscopic diffraction structures etched into them and those structures reflect the light projected from the sides into your eyes.
I swear read somewhere that they were trying to improve mark zuckerbergs public image after those awkward meta videos. All of this "casual" zuck is probably rehearsed.
Isn't real reality already really immersive ? Like sure I get why they'd make immersive video games, but why the fuck do I want a virtual version of my normal room or a computer screen (it's already a screen in actual space FFS)
He has had a good makeover he has a kinda cool, muscled skater look. Thinking about his hair and face and skinny T shorts before he really looked awkward at the least
I love VR but it's best uses are to play games and those kinds of experiences. I'd NEVER want to use it for long work hours to do boring ass office work on, I never understood why they try to make that a thing. Modded Skyrim VR however.
It’s so pointless. I go into my bedroom and look around and see everything in it. I then wear these and do the exact same thing but yet I can’t interact with anything. How is that better?
@@goblinbollocks2838 theres a magic to VR I havent felt since I saw the first 3D games as a kid. Strapping on a headset and going completely into another world. Its the ultimate escapism. Got caught having a wrist based neural interface once
oh aye. love the H4M-5HANDY. great model. immersive
TBF, the wrist based neural interface comes with hand lotion and wipes included.
Did you shoot your download?
Can't wait to experience Instagram - an app all about viewing 2D photos on a small phone screen - with my VR headset.
Zuckerberg looks like he stole the skin of a high school freshman
Dressed like his name is Edgar
Clip of him man. Just your everyday casual street style billionaire there.
Not at all a ‘How do you do fellow kids’ vibe.
dawg, he’s just on the hustle, you know! /s
I like to think Limmy is having a real negative impact on the share price of Meta. He's our proxy in the cyber class war lol.
Plot twist hes an agent of Bezos
Limmy earns 24$ million a year from Amazon and owns 5% of Amazom stock so not likely. This is purely business
His statements certainly altered my decision to buy Meta stock and products. I will tell my family to watch this as well
i see he’s downloaded the fashion conscious DLC
🤣🤣
The third Latin motto seen on Zuckerberg’s chest, “Aut Zuck aut nihil,” translates to “Either Zuck or nothing,”
Oh my god 😂
Very reassuring, it shows that he really doesn't have any megalomaniac phantasies. He's just a normal down to earth guy, right?
@@endreszatmari2302 YOU WILL ZUCC AND YOU WILL LIKE IT!

He looks like he's going to anounce a new cryptoscam
Limmy is actually a great actor. That trying-to-reassure fake smile is brilliant😄
True
His anger towards this and holograms is unwavering.
hello mate. love your music. thanks!
ah, just taking in my daily intake of Limmy's disgust for something like me cup of joe
The Zuck has clearly had some kind of 'Humanity' update, he doesn't seem as robotic anymore! Super impressive.
5:33 that's the face of someone who's only partially immersed

it's because main interest of all these techs is marketing.
The moon movie was a 1902 French movie called "Le Voyage dans la Lune."
Brian probably spent a lot of time rehearsing so that he wouldn't sound too rehearsed.

Guy on TH-cam spent $2k on the apple ones and wore them around for two months and it looked fucking miserable
just lit the "VR" goggles you used to be able to buy in argos for 20 pound
That’s awesome! 🤗

He looks like Simon Day's character, Billy Bleach from The Fast Show.
Whats the ploblem
this is so 2013 it gives me cosy feelings in this day and age
Forget living to see Simon cowell get old. Live to see limmy react to crap tech
I hate looking at screens all day, so I can't wait to get this headset and look at more screens.
Buddy you should book a trip to Vegas to see sphere screen! Really big screen different shape from normal screen!

1 monitor costs as much as the entire headset, that's 1 reason why.
Ken Barlow sitting on young Ricky Gervais's knee, taking pictures of the future, and the future is on ME!

I could see Limmy starring in a new series of Last of the Summer Wine talking about failed VR while chasing after Nora Batty.

I work in VR development and have for 5 years. I am as skeptical about Limmy about all this.. It's good for training, that's about it
Training, games, 3D movies, p or n...
I bet he's got a t shirt with the slogan "zuck it" on the front.
glasses look cool actually, maybe i can get a pair that matches my imagination in 20 years for 20 grand
I just don't understand the point of it.
Same, they been saying VR is the future since the 90s but it's just not practical or useful.

Funnily enough i just tried TH-cam on mine earlier but i was smoking a joint and cause my fingers were pinched it kept dragging the screen. Gave up😂

interesting avatar choice by Zuckerberg for this

When he says “fully immersive uh… experiences”, all I hear is “barely immersive, boring content”.
