The Aquaman reference, as I understand it, is that they came out with Jump Right In where Tim sings underwater, then came out with Any Way the Wind Blows where Tim's singing attracts a fish which then seems to listen intently as he sings to it. So someone in the comments joked that Tim's power over fish and ability to sing underwater showed he was Aquaman.
Something a lot of people overlook in this is Chance's lovely bass, especially at the end. It just puts it over the top.

This is one of my old favorites and this re-make is phenomenal. I really like this version the best. Tim really delivered it best here. I love how you showed you got chills twice! This video is really sweet. It’s fits the song very well. So glad they did this one and didn’t just leave us with the lyric video. Poor Tim getting soaked makes me appreciate how they make many of their videos! Loved your reaction. I’m surprised you haven’t reacted to their cover of “Vincent” with Don McLean yet! Fantastic! Tim's talents abound! I love this! If I had my wedding today, I'd probably use this song as our first dance as a married couple. We actually did use Austin's cover of "At Last."💙

This is such a beautiful original song from Tim. He is a wonderful songwriter. This song was originally on Tim's solo album before joining Home Free called "The Best That I Could Do". Nice to see it redone with Home Free. Love Adam's percussion!

Still have a certain fondness for Tim's live version of this at a radio station many years ago. But these latest HF videos put a much different spin on the vocals with all of the layering. More robust, resonant. Definitely a song which sticks with you and can be played over and over still enjoying it every time. Tim was getting quite the soaking in the video. Perhaps a slight drizzle would've been preferable. :)

I love this song, and I absolutely love this new arrangement and performance - Adam's beatboxing is just perfect. But I have to admit I still love the video from the old version - just because it focuses on the members of Home Free.
LT...your enthusiasm for this song almost matches mine. This came from his 2011 country album...The Best That I Could Do...and he co wrote all but one of the songs. I play that album all the time. I love country so it suites me to a T!

They really stepped it up artistically with their interpretation with the fresh take with their sentimental scenes in this video production. They also, made significant enhancements in their vocals that set them apart from their original release. As some have indicated they set the bar higher with each release against their own performances. They already are elite and they never settle. Their ability to assess themselves with increased performance values is impeccable and a very unique gift in this production/performance that keeps the freshness for us the audience in awe. ❣ Love me some Home Free!!!!!💟

Me too...chills...every single time. Watching this, and hearing Austin give the same offers he always does, and then watching the young man (Who is he??? Does anyone know???) and young lady who act out the video, my mind is going, "Could that young man be the next Austin Brown?"
Aquaman? The only thing I can think of, is that Tim has been in more than one video where he gets drenched. One of those is "Man of Constant Sorrow." Another is "Friends In Low Places."
In the following one, Tim doesn't get drenched (and neither do any of the others), but the whole thing is ABOUT water...

06/09/24 -- PS -- I just saw the actual announcement for the replacement for Austin Brown. The group is actually welcoming BACK Adam Bastien (who will just go by Bastien) to the group, as of the end of July. Adam has sun with Home Free before (way back before the Sing Off). Here's a quote from the article about this, on the Home Free website:
"Starting in July, you’ll see Adam join us on stage as the fifth member of Home Free. His first show - lucky him - will be stepping onto the stage at, you guessed it, The Grand Ole Opry on July 31, 2024. We will soon begin recording new music with him as well, so stay tuned for that."
This THIRD Adam in the upcoming current group's FULL name is Adam Bell-Bastien (pronounced Bas-TEEN). He will be billed simply as Adam Bastien, and as is already shown in a few other things I've seen, in this regard, he will bee (like Chance is) simply called by his last name. Adam Rupp will still be Adam. Adam Chance will still be Chance. Adam Bastien will now be Bastien. 😀

After looking at photos, I do think the young man in the backing video IS Bastien. I also see that several others, over this past week, have asked the same question, mainly, "Is this a HINT?!"
