Super Sentai is not the second longest running tokusatsu series. It premiered in 1975, Rider premiered in 71, and - as you actually showed in this very video! - Ultraman predates both of them premiering in '66. Or '65, if you count Ultra Q. Which is another thing: There is no "Ultraman Q". There's Ultraman, and there's Ultra Q. Different shows.

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was the first television show that I remembered as a kid in which it’s borrowed footage would introduce me to the world of Japanese Pop Culture such as Tokusatsu, Anime and the video games that I enjoyed to this day.
I'm certain there may be some historical inaccuracies or at the least bad pronunciations in this video. Feel free to comment any you may find. 😅 I'm definitely no expert here.
Great video. A couple typos on dates which appear to be cleared up in other comments. Was surprised that you skipped over Ultra Q & Ultraman, as they both predate everything else you mentioned other than Godzilla. The Golden Bat movie released in December 1966 came out AFTER BOTH Ultra Q and Ultraman, although Golden Bat existed in manga format in the 1930's, and was more of an influence on Shotaro Ishinomori's Kamen Rider, which subsequently lead to Sentai (as you essentially allude to in a different way).
I can see how Golden Bat being the oldest superhero in Japanese pop-culture (if not worldwide), which was published in manga format over 30 years before it was made into a major feature film (although I believe there are some lost silent short films and the like, along with many other lost films that unfortunately burned up in World War II), could be confused as being considered the "first tokustatsu hero".
My first taste of super sentai was funny enough, from an episode of power rangers dino thunder. Where the rangers were at hayley's and were watching TV; When an actual episode of abaranger would be shown on the tv. But was dubbed over like the godzilla movies. And after that; i was curious about super sentai. And when i was staying at my grandparents; i went onto youtube and watched the film; dekaranger vs abaranger for the very first time. And when i first saw those teams in actual Japanese, i was both amazed and a dumbfounded when i saw the sentai suit for doggie for the first time. Since i was used to the power rangers design for him. But yea! That was my first introduction to super sentai.
I am the undisputed reigning master of Tokusatsu (title assigned by me, lol)! I agree, Godzilla (1954) is the father of… however, if we’re talking about superhero genre, under the umbrella term “Tokusatsu”, I would like to add, Gekko Kamen (1958 and pre-dates Golden Bat) which gave us power rangers. Separate topic… You should be a fly on the wall when I tell people, “ The original G.I. Joe gave us Transformers! FACTS! But most want to argue it! Gekko Kamen is also referred to as Moonlight Mask. Great video BTW!
