Hello Andy; Regarding the heater hose, there used to be a commercial for Fram filters where the mechanical says "You can Pay now or you can pay me later". It is better and cheaper to place the hose now rather than at 4 am. while feeding the cows.
Grandpa has a 4020 with 39,700 that spent 19 years on a shit pump and feed wagon last time I checked still looks mint shows what taking care of your tractor does
Happy New Year... Radiators once upon a time I worked for a Nascar Team in the Truck Series and took care of and maintained rads for many different types you'd be surprised how different tracks took different radiators and how surfaces ground down tires and how much rubber would get in the fins. Had a tank made to bubble air and thinner to loosen it up and get it out. Dirt sand and rubber. Have a Gooden!!!
Ik of a 7510 with over 30,000hrs. Never been touched and a 4055 that has near of 40k hrs only done a turbo. If you can get 20k plus hrs and not alot of work done to it thats awesome. 😊 happy farming 🎉
Feed tractor and loader are probably the most used tractor/loader on a dairy. Where i am we had one of those red tractors on the feed wagon it hit 20k and was still going on the original engine and trans. That old thing would probably still be running along except the park brake was out on it and to fix it would have to split it.
Happy new year too you good thinking on running it on the Menor pump don’t need problems when you. Are feeding you will get another 27,000 hours out of it. You are going to have to look for a axle press 👍🚜
Hey Andy, would you ever consider doing a video about how you guys manage your dairy herd? For example, how often do you cull cows Do you sell bread heifers how many heifers you add to the herd a year? Do you have cross bred beef calves?.
That’s funny about the budget for the arm rest, 22000 hrs is the result of no budget fix the problem as sone as you see it or before.your maintenance idea is the reason you got 22000 hrs out of the engine. Thanks for your videos I’m enjoying them.
As an unofficial representative of the "Left-hand' Universe, ... I can explain the disparity in cost between left and right-hand equipment. Simply stated, left-handers cost more because , ...we're worth it. :)
I never knew you could take a radiator apart and put back together like u did .Very interesting. Don't know if you can do it on vehicle also .Or just tractors .
If you can get the pieces, yes you can. Some clients wanted us to have their copper core radiator cleaned and reinstalled, but a replacement radiator (plastic/aluminum) is less than half the weight, usually cost little more than vat/solder/repair and cooled a lot better. The only reason to keep a copper radiator in a vehicle is nostalgia (collector car).
Hi Mr.Hourigan ! you have some kind of magic shop , everythings come out that shop perfect and ready to work again for your big operation. you are a magic man spreading magic powder all arround you . your shop is one place in your farm where the people shine the most by the work of there own hands . all good stuff! Thanks for your time and have a beautiful day Mr.Hourigan ! 🙋♂️
Good friend of mine has a Valtra that they retired off the feed wagon a few years ago with 56,000 hours on it then, still using it today for other chores; and another dairy that neighbors us has a Volvo wheel loader with around 50,000 hours.
A company round here bought a 2019 CAT 982 loader with 26,000 hours on it in early 2024. I thought that was a lot of hours in that amount of time. They sent it to CAT for a complete reman. It's brand new now.
I laughed out loud when you mentioned an armrest budget. And I saw the “wardrobe malfunction” when the suspender became unhooked, might want to blur that out next time so you don’t get on the bad list Andy
Budget? that's funny right there. The budget is what the bill is to do it correctly. You are replacing the hose; how many would throw a plastic barb in to fix spot. You can afford to not have a budget because you do the work yourself and not pay $165 per hour to Deere to do it for you like others. Happy New Year.
Andy, is your father or his a master Mechanic? You are so skilled, I've been around farm and Nursery shop for my hole 62 years ! Is there plans for super shop some day?
The fact that you changed the top header of this radiator shows tight cost control as a lot would just replace the whole radiator. Farmers have cost saving in their DNA, your attitude to expenditure will filter down to your staff and instil the same mindset of prudence. We won't mention the cost of the new Rolls Royce pick-up! Tell the staff that tight costs control allows you to play them higher wages. We used to have a comedy TV programme in UK where a secondhand car dealer from London moved to the country, the farmers ran rings around him. The pick-up comment was a joke. Good video thank you.
Nice job on that radiator tank boss, most professionals wouldn't even attempt that. Seems like you go through a lot of radiators, there must be some deep-seated reason that you're going through radiators on the farm… I suspect you have the wrong oil in the transmission. If you don't mind when you get done telling us how much the parlor cost can you disclose what your radiator budget per year is?
Budgets Had 50 years of people telling me to do budgets. Had 50 years of getting to year end to find budgets are not met, or exceeded. Had 50 years of ‘do I HAVE to spend whatever or can It work doing the job in a different way or can the machine still work efficiently if we MEND it’? Came to the conclusion about 40 years ago most budgets are a waste of time. Still makes the accountant mad.
Hello Andy; Regarding the heater hose, there used to be a commercial for Fram filters where the mechanical says "You can Pay now or you can pay me later". It is better and cheaper to place the hose now rather than at 4 am. while feeding the cows.
The mechanical knowledge that you have Andy is amazing. You ever get ready to slow down, you could be a Service Manager for John Deere.
Thanks for sharing Andy! Love the videos

Pto hours are a lot easier on tractors than road and pulling hours.
Engine hours are engine hours. Still wears them out.@@diersirrigation
Not true, starting and stopping at short intervals is harder on any engine than running continuously. @Farmingfrommyangle.
That’s fantastic. Love hearing about high hour equipment
Thank you for your videos Farming Fixing & Fabricating you are the best
Andy you always take a few extra steps to do it RIGHT little cleaning little paint A#1 JOB
Good Job Andy! When I worked as a mechanic I always wash out the engine compartment and radiator..
Merci Andy pour vos vidéos, votre efficacité et votre simplicité sont un exemple, bonne année à vous, votre famille et votre entreprise 👌
The 20 series are the sharpest looking tractors J.D. ever made. If that engine hasn"t been rebuilt, they may be the best tractors they ever made to.
Radiator surgery, interesting. Good video Andy.
Wow!!! 27000 hours on a tractor!! Speaks volumes.of your equipment maintenance program. Kudos for sure.
If you replace all the parts as they break they will go forever,
Well said@@DaveG7920
Great video Andy, much respect for all your abilities!! Thanks for all you do and Happy New Year! Jim.
Thanks for the video! Happy New Year Andy!!
Nothing "RUINS" like a DEERE!

Your sharp eye preserved the coolant budget for 2025
Happy New year to you and your family Andy
Fantastic tractor that 7720. We rebuild a 7710 engine also right at 22000 hours I believe.
That’s funny about the budget for the arm rest, 22000 hrs is the result of no budget fix the problem as sone as you see it or before.your maintenance idea is the reason you got 22000 hrs out of the engine. Thanks for your videos I’m enjoying them.
Great budgeting! Sounds like a very disciplined approach! LOL
As an unofficial representative of the "Left-hand' Universe, ... I can explain the disparity in cost between left and right-hand equipment. Simply stated, left-handers cost more because , ...we're worth it. :)
That 7720 is real tidy for the hours credit to you 👌Happy new year love the vids from England
Could you add to this years budget for a pair of those multi-colored pants like you saw when you picked the Freightliner.
27000 hrs wow that's amazing and still looks good

No pressure test before installation, what balls he has!👍
I didn’t want to crack it, wanted to do a liquid test first
Happy New Year, Andy.

Happy new year for you to Andy
I really like the way you budget please keep us updated on future budgeted items ! ! !
Give us an idea of how many hours these tractors run. Convert 27,000 to years of normal use. Thanks. Enjoy your videos.
Trolling with the heater hose budget 😂😂😅😅😊
Happy new year to you and the gang.

What I am worried about is the beer budget.

Looks a very tidy tractor for 27000 hours well looked after credit to you
Had to change out our cooling system on our 8530 John Deere and it was not cheap to do but it had to be done.
How about reviewing some of the wear on the tractor tires and the longevity of them. Looks like some need changing.
Tire chains work the best on them
I referring to a review on some other tractor tires and the wear and how often they are changed out.
Happy new year to Hourigan family dairy. Thank you
Hey Andy, what is the annual BEER budget !!!! hope you have enough to make it thru the holidays
Another good job Andy I hope you have a great year Keep them coming 👍 🇺🇸
Andy, is your father or his a master Mechanic? You are so skilled, I've been around farm and Nursery shop for my hole 62 years ! Is there plans for super shop some day?
Not really but somewhat
JB weld works that's what I did on my semi tractor and it worked
Andy I absolutely love your SARCASM 😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good for another 27,000 hours!

Always interesting content.
With the size of the fleet, the farm is running. I don't think I could guess what budget would be.
GEE WHIZ hoping that tank cover goes back on without leaking and your not polishing a tird??
Does Nate tuck his shirt in before you get him on camera. Always looks nice and neat. 😂
Yeah we usually get ourselves all fixed up before the camera turns on
27000 hours !! Major WOW !
I dont have a budget either. Somehow it just seems to always work out in the end😅
As long as it doesn't cut into the beer money budget.
Budgets

Looks like some of your tractors need new shoes, how much is in your tire budget?
There isn’t one of them either
With no heater hose budget, I hope you didn’t have to dip into the bush light budget to bad
That's impressive 22000 on original engine. 6.8 are really good engines. Got to love deere
Never a dull moment
That was my thought on the left. Exactly!
Your comment put a smile on my face. 😊
Hopefully, your Governor doesn't watch your channel.
Do you ever purchase a brand new tractor, or are they always used with low hours?
We have bought some new
U got ur money's worth of those tires 7720
Andy, what with arm rest and heater hose budgets , and it's only January 1st.......how will you ever manage the rest of the year....😂😂😂😂😂😂
Happy new year to all of you.😊
Happy New Year to y’all
Nothin' runs like a Deere folk's... 27,000 hours!!
Wow! $1700 for the radiator.
I guess you did save money by taking that amount of time.
Can I see the hour meter again ANDY got my doubts 27000 hrs 🤦♂️😂😂😂😂, Nathan 🤫🤫 sneeky. Maybe some tires in the BUDGET for the old 7720. Thanks
Sure would you like me to text it to you? I’ll need your cell number
Budget? My budget on the farm is when I run out of money for repairs I go beg some more from the local bank..........😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁
Sometime you can do another feeding video last time I remember you were feeding 14 loads I think, I'm sure you are feeding more now
Coming up
the tyre budget needs a top up for the old 7720
Chaim’s work better on bald tire
