Tried the Neko rig for the first time today, yesterday now. Fishing a public fishing area in east central GA. First cast tap tap caught one, third cast again. Fifth cast I got hammered, I was so excited I snatched it away from the bass when I set the hook. Caught several more before leaving. This in a place that gets pressure almost every day. Thanks Gene your videos are the best, yes I do watch others but I come back to yours for the how to part. Your video on drop shot showed what I was doing wrong when I tried to rig it up, no body else explains these tips like you do. Thanks man and keep up the GREAT work.

i went 1/8 catching a fish my first times out this summer (and hadn't fished in about 5 years due to my location in Brooklyn... used to live in Georgia). then found this channel and started studying and reading more and since then have gone 8/10. Not always big ones, but got one real big bass. I'm catching fish its crazy.

Gene I have to agree with how you rig the hook into the bait more than anyone else I've seen. I feel like just getting the normal o ring or skin hook, the hook point is burying into the bait when setting the hook if they are deep or close to the boat. I was trying to do a sweep hookset until I started rigging them like you do. Now I feel like I can set the hook in either direction with a great hookup percent. Thanks for the great vid!

I'm confused about how you hook the worm. Since you're burying the hook shank in the worm body, what's the purpose of the o-ring? And I would think you're only going to get one hookup before the hook is torn out of the worm.

For shore fishing at reservoirs, what rig in your opinion has the best action for steep ledges were your line may only be resting on the top of it and your bait is coming up it as you retrieve.
