    I also include groceries and gas as being required spending during that month, too.

      I understood Ll of it except why you are multiplying the total by 95. Where does the 95 come from? Please let me know.

    Is it best to have savings in advance before starting a budget?? How do you from a low income??? I’m sorta struggling a tiny bit.

      You don't need to have a savings before making a budget :) when I started it was just 30 bucks a month towards my month ahead fund. I've since wiped it for emergencies. Rn things are tight again and I'm only putting 40a month into it to replenish it. Once you have enough to have a month ahead fund things feel a little easier to budget.

      @@helen6365 😊 thank you…. I guess I have to keep easing my way into it. Being a month ahead is definitely a goal of mine.

      I will also add to it whenever you get a bonus or tax refunds. When I used to work in a restaurant I had a good pay at 15 an hour so all my tips I would save and that added up really quickly

    Do you treat your month-ahead envelopes like an emergency fund?

  • @shellygray6197

    So when you put your one month ahead in the bank do you just keep re stuffing your bills every month and just leave that money in the bank? I almost have 1 month ahead so I am confused what to do with it. Thank you

    • @ruthanndietz3764
      @ruthanndietz3764 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, that is what I do. I put it in the bank and forget about it. I continue to pay my monthly bills in the current month.
