EASY DIY Portable Garmin Ice Fishing Sonar | Best Livescope Panoptix Setup

How do you use a sonar from your boat for ice fishing without having to buy extra packaging and transducers. Here I will show you how I built a custom case for my Garmin UHD93sv that is live scope ready. I will also show you how you can use the normal transducer off your boat to ice fishing.

Nicely done, I like your use of creative thinking. These fishing companies are exploiting anglers with prices, here in Canada the Garmin XL shuttle bag retails for $300... While I can afford it I refuse to support that type of BS. I have wondered in the past why people wouldn't just use some 3inch galvanized brackets from the hardware store instead of buying a second gimble mount? For me its difference of $3 vs $50

Have you tried using the side view to find weeds, rocks, trees or brush?

It won’t work the same. You need to be moving in order to see that. Yes I mean could you probably use it in some capacity, yes. But it’s not something easy to see like from a moving boat.

It's that Gt54-uhd transducer? What u think about that on ice fishing? Good or bad? I got one thoo but never try on ice

That’s is the GT54. It works great for DI and chirp just be sure to crank up the scroll speed like I showed. I’ve seen and caught many fish using this set up this season. 👍🏼
