In 1991, Charles Cosby was selling ounces of cocaine on the inner-city streets of Oakland, California. Bringing in a couple grand a week, he was living the new American Dream. Then he wrote a fan letter to “Cocaine Godmother” Griselda Blanco - immortalized in rakontur’s Cocaine Cowboys - who was serving time at a nearby federal prison.
Six months later, he was a multi-millionaire. Charles was not only running Blanco’s $40 million a year cocaine business, he was also her lover. When she recruited him to participate in a prison break that involved the kidnapping of JFK Jr., Charles knew he was in over his head. Also known as “The Black Widow,” for her propensity to permanently dispose of her men when she’s done with them (or when they betray her), Griselda would stop at nothing to ensure that Charles was faithful to her. And he would learn that lesson the hard way.
This is the story of a kid from the streets who (literally) gets in bed with a Colombian queenpin. It’s New Jack City meets Scarface - only the truth!
I can't lie Rivi was like the coolest of those crazies, a pretty interesting character for sure and likable in a funny way.
If Rivi has a cell mate that guy at least has entertainment because Rivi has stories for days with extremely good detail.
Really not good to tell stories to other cell mates. Jail house snitches will turn yo ass in
@@jwhite7104 Rivi had nothing to lose, he was never getting out.
Dude killed between 35-42 ppl
@@DennisBTV I mean yea but still lol
cumbamba and Rafa were terrifying I heard. You didn’t want to see them unannounced
This is the best bit of cocaine cowboys 2
He left his wife in the mall lol
She can call a cab on a pay phone haha.
They dont make it like Rivi anymore loyal to the end what a great guy
Loyalty to find now in days is hard to find. Loyalty over royalties
he snitched on her, later on
No it was a upset for her to be acquitted
@@danettemclean1269 he snitched in exchange for his freedom but messed up the whole thing when he seduced a DA clerk
Loyalty bears forth Royalties
He could be a perfect actor In Miami Vice the show 😁
Great questions from Billy and hats off to Michael for answering the questions with his heart on his sleeve throughout the whole series.
Hopefully, you guys keep going.
Idk what it is but Rivi seems like a genuinely interesting guy. Wish more people today were like him.
What an honourable guy to look up to. No real or even fake friends Matt?
LMFAO
Hahahahaha
wtf does that say about you?
I am an animal.
So let me get this straight he says he's selling 30 kilos of cocaine a week (which was about 18 to 25,000 for each kilo back in those days) Which is more than a 1/2 a million dollars a week and he wants us to believe that he went from being a drug kingpin to going back as a hitman again. Get real😅😅😅😅😅
Its called loyalty buddy.
@@imtyaazbennett5590 Yeah 👌 🤣🤣🤣🤣
30 keys a week was nowhere near kingpin status back then.
@@jpjpjp6328 that's 90 kilos a month and about 30 million a year that is not your ordinary drug dealer my friend. To the law that's a major drug dealer.
@@jpjpjp6328 Yeah Ok. If you get arrested for selling around 100 kilos a year the Government will believe me charge you as a kingpin. Trust me my friend.
I wish Rivi had an autobiography it would be an interesting read😊
My Dad met rivi
What did he say about him?
They should make a movie about Rivi and just let him out of Jail
He may be stretching the truth. In other sources. It says they saw him at the mall but he ran. And got away. Jaime bravo and Cumbamba were probably worse than Rivi.
From I saw on Griselda Blanco Biography, Alberto Bravo wasn't kill by Griselda & not in Bogota but was murdered in Mellida. Only husband was to believe to have been killed by the Godmother was her third husband. But was stated she had murder her second husband so why the Medallion Cartel wanted her dead?
She killed Marta Ochoa. That is a death sentence.
Griselda kidnapped and murdered a niece of the Ochoa brothers. After this murder, the entire Medellin Cartel went to war with Griselda.
What I don't understand is how Rivi was allegedly selling 30 kilos of coke a week in Chicago, went back to killing for Griselda, then for some reason ends up arrested for a bank robbery in Chicago. No way a guy is pushing 30 kilos a week and robs a bank himself. I mean he could've been out of the business by then but still he'd be sitting on millions of dollars if he was pushing the weight he said he was. Let's say he was making something very conservative like $2k per kilo (Probably would be way more) that's still $60k a week or $240k a month. I know he was the real deal but some parts of his story are clearly fictional.
He robbed the bank for quarters so that he could make a phone call to Colombia not for money really.😅😅😅
Remember they didn't have cell phones back then.
what about charles crosby ?
Is he still in Jail ??
Yes
Nooo she was murdered in Colombia years and years ago. Gunned down.
@@DennisBTVIt's Colombia, please Americans, spell it right!!
And yes, Rivi is curently 66 and still in jail.
@@chodagreat7876 godmother got ambushed in COLOMBIA.
Damm …
Por favor por qué no lo traducen en español me en canta estos documentales .cracias
I use to party with Rivi he was a cool guy
Tony montana
How was Jaime Bravo ended? Who know this?
Car accident
I thought he did like 15 years in prison then went back to Colombia? I thought it was Paco who died in car accident
didnt that black guy use the exact same line as rivi in cocaine cowboys 2? how griselda called him and begged him for help? saying how "you told me if i ever needed you, and i need you now more thsn ever"
i dont doubt the black guy was associated with her, there are pictures. but listening to him in the second documentary he talks like a complete bullshitter. he talks like his life was a 24/7 movie. i dont believe 90% of what he was talking about
Yeah i caught that to. That Prieto was telling fairy tales to look good on TV
What bro he legit as fuck all u got to do is research him. Black dude loved grisdela
@@coleycole420 I don’t doubt he was associates with her, but with how people BS, his story and how he talks, he just has a condescending tone to everything like he’s exaggerating everything and the only ones who can refute his story are dead or in jail. People BS all the time. All we have is a few pictures of him with her. Doesn’t mean shit really. People have pictures taken with people all the time. Doesn’t mean his story is not fabricated
@@BigMoney23223your a flat earther huh
@@nothingstranger37 yep you guessed it. The earth is flat. Because a dude who shows us one picture of him and Griselda laying on the grass having a picnic. That’s the only picture he’s shown us, aside from maybe one or two more that shows they know each other. All I’m saying is what Rivi said was almost word for word what the black guy said in CC2, I’ve seen both documentaries, the second one with the black guy, the way he talks he doesn’t seem genuine at all. He talks like he’s reading from a script. Who reflects on their life like they are trying 1000% to impress people? Sure some people are like that, which is what I’m talking about, if what he talks about is true, then that’s cool, it just seems like he was talking out his a$$ the entire time. It seemed like he did 39 takes for every cut he made in the second documentary. Only he knows the truth, if he’s telling the truth more power to him,
they was just watching us they didnt give a fuck
Colombianoooo
Rivi the Rat
now they hanging towels they cc t jb
👍👍
Why he seems black during the 70s buy so white now? 🤣 Is that a sort of Michael Jackson stuff?
I just want to say, before you make a comment watch your mouth.
Racist Rivi 🙏🏾
Racist?
Very racist , he wanted nothing to do with black people, he said it in cocaine cowboys 2. This is very common with Hispanics during these times in Miami
@@dnyce2083yep, he stated he didn't like blacks
@@giuseppealfieri7984no he didn’t
@@ceeIoc Yes, he did. I heard that
