Im gonna copy this build except the cpu Im going to use a ryzen 7 7700 thanks to this video its going to be easy for me to build a new mid range gaming pc.
I was thinking of buying one but the cheapest rx 7700 xt i could find is ASRock RX 7700xt challenger oc 12 gb.......its only 2 fan .... should I go for it .....would there be any thortling ?
Unless the 7600xt comes out, this is the best build for 1080p144hz long term as well, except I'll be going for 7600 non x and with aorus elite b650 motherboard. Because 1 it stays cooler and 2 better vrms. The rx7600 is too low for 1080p ultra doesn't provide future proofing. 6700xt is nice but its older so again less future proof. If you got the money and you wanna stay safe for 5+ years, I think this is your best bet!
Bottlenecks will always be there, it's just how evident they will be. It also depends on which Ryzen CPU. AM4? 5700X/5800X/5800X3D should be okay with those cards. AM5? 7700/7700X/7800X3D are more than enough.
Hi! I'm wondering to buy a new GPU but I really don't know which one. I want to stream on twitch and play in 1440p. What would be your choice between 4070 and 7800 XT? Thanks!
Im not a pc pro but I would go with the 7800 XT, one its cheaper, two it has better performance, three it has 16gb of vram instead of the 12gb on the 4070, and lastly it has good AI frame generation. On the other hand the 4070 has better power consumption and less of a performance decrease while using OBS.
I personally would rather take an RTX card in this situation. It has better performance while streaming and less quality loss compared to Radeon. If only for gaming, Amd is indeed better value, but for streaming Rtx cards are better. Plus dlss and Rtx lighting are a bit better.
I would have preferred some of the testing done _without_ upscalers enabled, just for a pure rasterization comparison. But it does confirm what I was thinking: If you can find a cheap 6800XT, might as well. The $50 difference between both cards makes the 7700XT less appealing, even more when you can get a 6800 non-XT for $20-30 cheaper.
Guys, I want to make my first build soon with 7700xt and I wanted to ask an advice about gpu fans. So should I pay 30-50€ more for that triple fan Rx7700xt (for example “hellhound”) or should I save up and go for the sapphire one like in this video? Will there be noticeable temperature change if I choose 3 fan gpu, is it worth it?
For pure rasterization purposes, 7800XT/6800XT. If you don't care about the AV1 encoder, save some cash with the 6800XT if it's available in your region for less than the 7800XT's MSRP. If you _need_ AV1 encoding support for content creation and/or streaming (on the streaming platforms that are compatible with AV1), then the 7800XT is a solid choice there, plus, it's faster in DaVinci Resolve compared to Nvidia's stack. And if you need "good" raytracing and/or CUDA support, go with the 4070.
@@FusionLuigaming Yes, my only regret is that I didn't go with RX 7800 XT at the time. But I have my RX 7700 XT is undervolted and overclocked, it does perform as stock RX 7800 XT.
Depends on the resolution. For 4K it might be. For 1080 P the best is the 7800X 3D. But it is better buying a good MOBO and later on you can upgrade. A decent Gigabyte board... With good VRM and VRM cooling. ;) ANd with PCI-E 5.0 support. It will pay for you later. ;)
FSR doesn't close the gap because you can enable it on the 4090 too (or DLSS), but in terms of price-performance for a high end 4K GPU the XTX is much better value than the 4090, at least in non-ray-traced gaming
@@dtcao.Nope at 1080p there will be but you won't play on that Card on 1440p maybe 5% in some specific games in most games no problem at all. 5% is negligible. 4k no way you will get problem If you use fsr or ray tracing fully GPU bound so yesh
Great video, agree the price for these cards are amazing. One point though, very little showing of the Rx 6800 xt, so not much comparison to its predecessor. Other videos seem to indicate they're very similar in performance. So perhaps that may be a better value card currently.
While I do agree with this, 6800 XT is not better value right now. Pretty much everywhere in the UK, US, and Europe it is either the same price as the 7800 XT or more expensive. The only way you'll pick this card up cheaper is through a price drop, or from the second-hand market. The 7800 XT is quite possibly the best bet right now for 1440p and 4K at a sub-$600 price tag. Do not be fooled by the JayZTwoCents, Gamers Nexus, and Hardware Unboxed channels. 6800 XT does perform similarly and sometimes better, but the 7800 XT comes out on top in 4K, and has newer hardware.
I think for me the main thing with watching these videos, is trying to understand how the card performs in different types of games and where it's benefits are, but then the video compares it with an inconsistent list of cards so sort of hides benefits and shortfalls. It has a place in the market for sure, no denying it, I just wish the video showed it lined up with a consistent set of cards, rather than a select few that vary depending on the game. Especially where its predecessor sits. When it comes out, you wouldn't want to watch a video on the 5090 without knowing how much better it is than a 4090. Just my opinion as the way the video portrays the information is really good and clear! Just wish the data shown was more fixed.
