This was not Patti LuPone's first character practicing witchcraft. She had a small but powerful role in an episode of the second season of "Penny Dreadful." She's captivating in it and it's well worth watching, but requires having seen the previous episodes of the show to understand.
Whatever you do, do not say "time" in the "Your Path Winds Out of Time" room. It makes things worse. I loved this episode so much. At the end, Lilia was in complete control and OWNED the room. The sequence where she does her own reading was utterly captivating and such a payoff. I also loved that she went out like a Diva, in full acceptance of her fate. "What will you do with your remaining time?" The Maestra character, with her steadiness and wisdom was so cool. The other thing I really liked about this one was the was it showed Jen's growth. In the beginning, Jen was selfish and the first to escape. Here she chooses to stay with her sister in the craft, providing Lilia with much-needed support while she's "having a day". And in the end, she wants Lilia to leave the room first. I imagine how much of her true self, and her sense of hope Jen had lost after 100 years without her magick. Lilia is my favorite of the supporting coven, but like you;, I love them all.
Mama Kaplan is Billy's mom, the truth is he has no memory of Wanda and it's three years, all he knows for a mother is mama Kaplan. He wouldn't have asked for Bohner if he remember. He wouldn't have been close with Agatha if he remember
That’s a good point. Although he and Tommy aged themselves up - emotionally did they still feel like they spent 10 years with Wanda and Vision. I think he remembers them - so he has more than that little attachment to her. I was just shocked at how little he seemed to care for her. It was all about Tommy.
@@WatchwithMarcella He still has no memory, I don't think maturity would make him more or less connected to Wanda emotionally especially since it was just less than a week with her. All he knows since he woke up in the crash was he is apparently suppose to be William Kaplan, and Mrs. Kaplan is his mother and since he had her for most of his knowing life, that's why he sees her as his mom over Wanda. Wand is more his bio mom. He vaguely knows Tommy by name, not really remembering anything else.
@@WatchwithMarcella why should he care about her? It’s like a birth mother giving up twins for adoption as babies. It would make more sense for the twins to want to find each other than for one of the twins want to find the mother. Maybe that’s not a perfect analogy but it’s not that hard to understand that he really doesn’t remember or feel anything for Wanda at this point.

Oooh I didn’t know that. Thanks
It's a fantastic show that deserved better than the abrupt ending it got. Incredible acting in it, too!
She loved being a witch! 😎😎😎

This was such a good episode. It might go down as one of my favorite hours of TV. Awards all around.

He was only with Wanda for about a week and with Mrs Kaplan for 3 years.
