hey I'd like to ask a question. so my friend has an Astra J Estate manual transmission late 2015 model. the steering wheel that he's got doesn't have any multifunction controls like cruise control or volume control. but we checked on the dashboard and there's a cruise control lamp but it's unused due to not having the cruise control button on the steering wheel. if he was to replace his steering wheel with one that has multifunctional buttons, will cruise control work or will he also have to program it? if so, how can this be done?
I assume that the entire steering shaft has moved downwards due to the impact. Under the legs there is a joint of the steering wheel into which the shaft enters. You should try to loosen it and move it back, at the same time check all the steering wheel supports if they are in the correct position and inspect the plastic supports on it (steering wheel covers ). MY RECOMMENDATION IS THAT YOU DO NOT DO IT YOURSELF BUT LEAVE IT TO AN AUTHORIZED SERVICE BECAUSE IT CAN BE EXTREMELY DANGEROUS FOR THE MANEUVERABILITY OF THE VEHICLE !
Very helpful and showed with details what needs to be done, thank you!

the difference is not only in the steering wheel. The clock spring, CIM module and installation are also different
My steering wheel is rubbing the trim behind it, what could be issue? Car was crashed and repaired before I bought.
