Members of the Osage Nation met with Scorsese and a lot of them worked on the film to help make it as accurate and respectful as possible. He rewrote the script during Covid after they gave him their input. I’ve read that the descendants of the people in the film found it troubling to watch but thought it was very well done and told the story well. Don’t read the book, see the film as it has more involvement of the people who know and lived with this horrific injustice.

As someone who read the book, I would recommend that you don't read the book first. The "crime" that the book is based on is so much worse than you think.
You should see “THIS BOY’S LIFE,” with De Niro & DiCaprio as well. It’s great!!!!

It was a historic event, and it's called the Osage reign of terror. I grew up in Osage County and I was aware of this history at a young age.

I read the book,it was was a really good,the author did a tremendous amount of research.
Watch the movie first. The book just gives you greater detail. That even a 3 hour movie can't.
