Definitely was intentional. Deliberate coughing. Bad sportsmanship shown by pipe who's a real bore. That's why he was so complimentary after the match. No celebration, holding smiths hand in the air. He knew he pulled a fast one.
Yes i agree, he cheated and i bet hes ashamed of himself for his behaviour especially after watching the playback. My point is, him attempting to influence the match didn't work. The noise that's in darts matches is always loud and a there's always a party atmosphere, so Smith didn't hear his cough. Ive always wanted to go to a match to experience that party. Terrible sportsmanship, that's all!
wrong! the noise from the crowd is an expected noise and the players are infact used to playing with it. a simple cough that occurs just over your shoulder can be alot more distracting and infact alot more distinctive to hear when in the process of concentrating throwing a dart at the double to win the match. pipe did not break any rules, gamesmanship has been going on for years and will continue to happen. but in this case pipe acted in pure desperation and contributed to a man losing his place in the world championship and losing out on alot more money for progressing into the next round in which he had probably put alot of effort in to prepare for. thats what made his selfish act alot worse.
