    Simply wonderful. Ten minutes before he said he was wasting our time, I was thinking how grateful I was to him for being up there showing us how to do the work.

    Thank you for sharing this. What a brave man. And his wife, who started the work even before her husband was ready to follow. It has inspired me and brought me peace.

    Oh dear, I needed this so badly. My son who is 21 is depressed for the last 4 years, not going out of his room, not working, not studying and according to me "wasting his days" and "wasting his youth" and I am worried about him and also I fear that I would have to support him throughout his life if he doesn't get any skills...
    I was looking for something to get me out of these false beliefs.
    I would like him to be happy and healthy in order for me to be happy, but this is not how it works. I am wasting my days when I worry about him. My days are ruined when I believe the thought that he will not get along in life and will be miserable.
    Thank you, thank you, thank you, Katie!!!

    i haven't finished it yet and i'm sure it turns out well but at 11:11 i hear him experiencing what i experienced the first time i did the work: the sense that "this feels like a denial of my feelings." i wish katie would clock that and acknowledge it in that moment instead of pushing harder towards the turnarounds. experiencing the work as a denial of your feelings means that you are doing the work with an ulterior motive (e.g., to please the facilitator) or "performing" the work, and it can't work that way. anyone else have thoughts on this? i'm loving these uploads, thank you!

    • @helloitsme7983
      @helloitsme7983 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree. Well said. It is so important that this is not a denial of feelings. An inquiry into what the actual SOURCE of our feelings are from. Inquiry is a slow not rushed meditation.

    It seems to me like the deeper problem is this guy's identity as a "hard worker"- he repeatedly says how much he loves his job, how important it is to him, and how perfectionist he is, and as he says it you can hear that he is very proud of himself. This makes me suspect that his overall attitude towards his wife being a housewife is that of disrespect. He never says it outright but what I hear is that he "worked his ass off" but his wife "only" just took care of anything that has to do with housework , and of two children, one of which has special needs. He is utterly blind to the fact that all of that takes a lot of energy, patience and time. I strongly suspect that if that poor woman got a job he would still be annoyed of minor things she didn't get around to do in the house. Until he stops thinking of himself as such a bigshot he might just shift his disrespect instead of getting rid of it, finding a different fault with his wife every time.

    This guy has a wonderful,caring woman at home and is blind to see this because of the toughts he believed and the fact that he is a victim of the conditioned mind.I found myself in this Inquiry as the wife and i'm pretty sure i was not the only one.Sad...it's so sad to see what we are doing to each other when the egoic mind takes control..

    It's sad to see "house moms" are given such a low status. They are raising the future of the human race. They are giving their entire lives to care for small human beings that cannot do that themselves. You want the equivalent of Walmart daycare raising your kids so you can be secretary and file some papers???

    Is there a session anyone knows of where BK is facilitating the wife? Or a woman who has a husband like this guy who feels resentment toward wife? A woman who’s husband comes home and has this look as he scans the room etc. who sees himself as productive and can’t stand to see the mess..
    This session was really good but I would love to see a BK facilitation of “her” doing the work on her beliefs about “him.”

    lol, wow. this is complete bs. as humans, our judgements come from our ideals not being met. relationships are about reciprocity. the psyop that's being pulled on this guy is so bizarre and wrong. all you need to do to tell that this whole endeavor is horrible is to replace the dude's wife's behaviors that are upsetting him (cleanliness, laziness, organization) with her cheating on him.
    "now, turn it around"
    "uh...i'm cheating on my wife? wait, what are you talking about?"
    "you're simply choosing to believe these thoughts. her cheating on you is your problem, right?"
