Class of 1984 here. Our recognition was NOT like that. Looks like a day of field games. I understand that it is still intense and physical, but it looks like a hell of a lot more FUN!!
My grandson is in JROTC. He wanted to enlist but since he has terrest syndrome, the will not take him. It broke his heart. Now he's going to college after graduating high school.
@@mikeporpiglia1735 wishing you the best! My son graduated last year. They will take what you have going in and make you a better man for it. Lean on your classmates and good luck.
It’s not a program. This is just the school itself. Specifically this is from recognition day when the Knobs (Freshman) are finally recognized as citadel cadets and the 4th class system is put to bed.
Ethan Clarke not necessarily only about 27-36% of cadets go on to commission. It’s ultimately up to the individual if they wish to pursue a military career.
@@NgJackal1990 no they aren't, they can choose if they want to pursue a commission but they aren't obligated to like students at west point, the naval or air force academy.
I graduated in 1990 and this still gets me. Such an emotional moment.
Did you pay for the college
@@takashishironika6825 I did

Not sure if these videos are produced by the school or a private company but they are excellent!
The school has their own videographers and staff for these. They are remarkable!
Great video!
Love the Citadel. My best friend is a Sr. Rite now
Keep Going Citadel.

Junior in hs or at the citadel?
I am unbelievably great full that I get to attend 2021-2025 and even happier that I get to follow the footsteps of my father

@@UncleHaul So I read, it's a military school to be commission officers for the military.

@@UncleHaul They are forced into ROTC, sounds fun.
