Feel glad I am gone like my times and people from then are.
This was the first single record I ever bought. Beautiful song, beautiful voice. RIP ❤
Sad to hear of David Soul’s passing. 😢 Starsky and Hutch was one of my favorite TV shows when I was growing up. Admittedly I haven’t thought of him in a while and didn’t really follow him but I remember when he was in the news talking about a remake of the show and when they did the Starsky & Hutch movie with Owen Wilson. Brought back wonderful memories of my childhood. 🥹 Mr. Soul had a huge impact on many lives directly and indirectly and he’ll be deeply missed. 😔
Rest in Peace Mr. Soul. ❤🙏🏾🕊️
There's so much of my youth invested in this lovely song. It got me through so many young heartaches. Farewell David/Hutch. Thanks for the memories and may you rest in peace.
Im 57 years old and purchased this 45 in 1976 when I was 10 years old. It was my first “favorite song”. I have listened to it countless times over the last 48 years, today I am listening to it with tears in my eyes. RIP Hutch!
Ive been crying all night, this is one if the most beautiful song with a beautiful voice eith so much feeling
It is a fine ballad. Redolent of Bacharach & David.
❤
A great tune. We don’t get too many like it these days.
My eldest brother recently passed. This song reminds of a time when all my family members were still around so many years ago. I was only 9 when it came out.
Even though I was 6, 7 years old when the song was new I remember it because someone would always remind you this is the "Starskey & Hutch" guy singing. RIP D.S.
I was only 5 years old when this song came out but listening to it all these decades later always takes me back to a happier time when life was simple. Rest easy, David. Your song will be played and loved forever.
A gorgeous song for the ages. Bless you, Mr. Soul. You were loved! Godspeed.
I remember this song like it was yesterday, just as I remember when Paul Michael Glaser lost his wife. What a great team they were, and what a beautiful song this was / is. Thanks for the memories that come back...because of a loved song. RIP David...you were loved by many. Thanks to his family for sharing him with us for sooo many years.
Paul Michael Glaser and David Soul were both absolutely gorgeous.
2 of the greatest guys ever not only in terms of talent but also just great dudes
I loved Starsky and Hutch! It got me through some of the worst years of my life. I know that shows my age and yeah I love Blondie.
RIP Hutch. You were a big part of my childhood, you and Paul. Rest easy Mr Soul.
Rest In Power David Soul.
We'll Never give up on you.
David Soul's voice is so beautiful. This song reminds me of America's simple and more happier times. We all used to listen to the same music. I really miss those times.
I prefer this one.
I miss Those times too
Me too. Happier times.

Lisa Atampuri best times of my life! Hope we Americans find our way back to loving each other again. ☮️
Rest in sweet peace Mr Soul 🌠 I loved this song when I was nine years old when it came out and it was one of my first 7 inch records. I still love listening to it today 🙏
I was born and raised in Chicago. David Soul and Paul Michael Glasser. They were the original lover boys of my life. I had the my first crush on Starsky but as I've gotten to be over my 50's it's Hutchinson. ❤❤❤ I really enjoyed Starsky and hutch and their side kick Huggy Bear!!! David you will definitely be missed. i loved the story plot and enjoyed the eye candy. He was vegan on the show 😢😢 Rest in peace brother Hutchinson!!!

You will be missed David. Loved Starsky and Hutch. Fond memories of my childhood watching. Many of the greats are leaving us. Sad but happy you graced us with your talents.
I’m 54 now… in 2022 and I still loved hearing this just as I did back in the good Ol days. ❣️
Me too
I'm 34 and feel like I've become the stereotypical "older person" who thinks things like "back in the day when music was good" and what not. People have said "music sucks nowadays" every decade but I really think it does now. For real this time.
I am 53, I remember watching 1st Run Episodes of Starsky & Hutch!
This Song is Music 🎵🎶 of The Era!
The 70's Was Awesome!
Sweety I am 70 and love this song. Tried using it when my ex husband left me. Obviously he didn't like. He left me and our 2 kids
Me 2 ,starskey and hutch
I used to be married to David… back when me and my cousin used to play housies (imaginative play 😅) Starsky & Hutch were such a massive part of my childhood. RIP David, sweet Soul 😢❤

RIP ✝️🕊️🌹🙏🕯️
My favorite TV show was Starsky and Hutch back in the 70s. Two handsome detectives with great chemistry. David Soul was a good actor with a beautiful singing voice. RIP. Will never forget
Look in my mirror and see an old man, listening to this i feel 16 again
I just saw a video of Bobby Sherman's wedding renewal. Took me way back. One of the guests at the wedding was John stamps and his family . All the comments were about john. Proved they were very young and clueless as to who the groom was. Bobby and David played brothers on here comes the brides. Weirdly years later Bobby first wife married David
Ian, i know exactly what you mean, i wad 16 also, wonderful times indeed😊
Beautiful beautiful beautiful
me too. i am 63.
Jeez. So true. I was 13 when this hit the charts. I'm 57 now going on 13

You will be remembered as a legend.
RIP David. You are part of the soundtrack of our lives...Thank you.
RIP David. Starsky and Hutch was part of the teenage years of my sister and I. He was a gorgeous human being.
There will never be another Starsky and Hutch

Did not realize..

I had a big crush on Hutch
RIP David Soul you were a great actor thanks for making my childhood amazing.
Cheers to you Hutch!!!
RIP David Soul. Another good actor and musician gone. You don't get them like this anymore. This is one of those songs that lays forever and just as powerful as the day it came out. Every time I hear it it runs at my heart and emotions. Very few songs do that to me. Not to mention he's such a hunk too. Such a shame His personal life was so chaotic. Trusting he made peace with God before he left
I love this song! What a beautiful song & beautiful man 🕊️ Rest in Peace
They don’t make this kind of music anymore. A real love song.
I totally agree, this song is one of the greats.
Yessssss
He had to sing this a lot, to his five different wives. 😳
True. Fantastic Song.
Thank you for listening to my music I hope you will never stop listening to my music?
I had a huge crush on David Soul back in the days of Starsky and Hutch and loved this song. I hadn't heard this song for a long time but hearing of his passing today has jogged my memor. RIP David
This song this actor was a part of a very special time in my life. I wore his picture on a T Shirt. I ran into him years later in Venice Beach in LA. And saw him in plays in London. But I will never forget my teenage years adoring this man. R.I.P David you hold a special place in my ❤
RIP. When I was 16 this was one of my favorites. Listening today, I still know all of the words.
Time passes too quickly. Our favorite actors/singers get older as we do and leave us but they live on through their music and reruns. Rest in peace "Hutch" David Soul.❤
Well said!!

Ah David Soul was my childhood crush, my sister and I used to argue over whether we watched The Professionals or Starsky and Hutch. I have all his songs on my Spotify playlist and still listen from time to time. So sad that he is gone , couldn't believe that he was 80!!! In my mind he will always be that blond blue eyed gorgeous detective Hutch.
RIP David Soul. May God give you peace in heaven. This is an exceptional song and brings back many memories for me. May you rest in peace Mr. Soul. What a loss.
