Some may disagree, but I would recommend the Avenger! Solid construction, light, and has the nifty little hole to carry your board back up the hill with you. I regret not buying one before my five other boards! :D

@NFfingerboards it doesn't seam to be fun having you're first period... I like those wheels for sliding, that's my opinion, I've skated both of them but since the stims/durians wear down quickly I'd recommend them for smaller/lighter riders. I would probably had recommend abec11 freerides if I had rid them and liked them but I haven't so. you've got some awesome fingerboard skills though (I suck at it XD) also I'd like you to put out a longboard video to see if you even can slide.
I think James is riding the avenger with big zigs, possibly randal trucks. And not too sure about louis, but it looks like the 40" sector 9 cloud 9 with 78a race forms and paris 180 trucks.
@TheStokeholm footbreaking is a very useful thing i actually have many friends who cant even do it when its so easy to me I mean yea there are people who are very new and foot break like every 4 seconds casue there scared but its very effective for a quick speed reduce I live on long island LOTS of cars always gotta adjust to fit around them with large groups
@Redlightshinygo 0:12 you can see the sector 9 logo, and there is other videos of him on this board, its not a hightailer, although it looks alot like it. What i've heard is that its an old sector 9 board he found in their warehouse, so sector 9 made a couple just for him.

It is one of the most exhilarating,honest, purest,best moments your lifetime can ever experience . One good run & you "get it" & then you never understand how you couldn't have 💛ed DH.

If you board has the clearance, yes. The hole allows you to pull it up on its wheels without dragging the nose, like luggage or something.
