    The parquet floor tool does have the ability to remove the front or rear brushes. I removed my front brush and have no issues with snow plowing. The Felix is one of my favorite vacuums. You should review the Sebo Disco attachment for the Felix. I like your channel, keep up the good work!

    I love this vacuum🌼 The suction power is amazing. It's lightweight enough to carry from floor to floor and has several level selectors. Love the onboard tools. My only complaint is the cord is so low in the back. Not a huge deal. It's an amazing vacuum for the price. Amazing to see what it picks up. Easy to empty too. No bags like my old one.

      Yeah I wanted the Felix for a long time too! The only reason I would suggest stay away is if you have very thick carpet, it does okay with thick carpet but the size of the debris it can pick up is limited due to its great seal on carpet.

    One thing about German hard floor tools, is that they are designed to be dragged back. Not pushed forward and back, both brushing and sucking at the same time. Performance reviews talks about this and why German vaccumes or vaccumes with wessel work heads use this technique.

    Hi! I've had my Sebo Felix 1 Premium Fun for about 7 years. It is very powerful and streamlined-- goes under very low furniture and stores easily in small closets. My issue is with the roller brush and buttons. I have had to take it in at least 3 times to have it checked (I have it serviced also with new filters etc) as to why the roller brush intermittently just stops working. No light and cannot engage it; suction is good as ever and no clogs. The repair people cannot seem to find anything wrong and when I get it back from the shop, the light and roller brush works fine. Then, periodically it stops, then starts again and finally after about a year, stops again and won't engage. Anyone have that problem? I don't use it for heavy duty work as we are a very small family with only one short haired cat :) I keep the roller cleared and make sure bags don't overfill. Help!

    Just bought a Riccar R30D and hate it. Selling that one and bought one a Felix Onyx. Although I love the hose on the Riccar, it has this high-frequency squealing noise I can’t stand and didn’t do great on my tile. I didn’t like the Sebo D4 canister’s hose, but I did like the power head and adjustable suction. I think I should have just bought one of these to begin with.

      Question to both of you. I'm looking for a new cleaner for my wife. Our house is all hardwood with a few rugs, no carpet. I prefer a bag, as I find bagless to be messy. I prefer upright, because our current canister is just a mess that's hard to store - so I'm hoping upright will fix that problem(?). My mom has a Rainbow, which she "hates" and offered to give to me for free if I want it.
      I'm not terribly price sensitive, but I don't want to waste money either... can either/both of you please recommend the best vacuum given my needs? Would the Sebo Dart or Felix be the best choice? Anything else to consider? Am I even going about this correctly?
      Really appreciate any input... thank you!

Lots of vacuum-testers explain the difference in the body of their videos - I know @ibaisaic does for example. He's a UK-based vacuum reviewer, but the information regarding the various Sebos will be identical wherever you are. They mainly produce two types of domestic vacuum - the Felix, and the X-range - I have the X7, but the latest is the X8 'widetrack' iirc. They also have a smaller, very portable model, but if I were buying for the first time, I'd definitely buy a Felix (get the Felix Pet if you have a lot of debris).

  • @arevee9429
    @arevee9429 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    I would have to agree that the Miele upright is a tank. Yes, it' has a nice swivel head and it's super quiet, but too heavy. Haven't used the Felix, but I have used a Sebo canister which uses the same power head. It was fine except it is the only vacuum head I've ever used that bogged down to the point of stopping on a heavy shag carpet. The small powered brush is a turbo, but it's the best one I've ever used - admittedly, I've only used 2. The canister Sebo I used had a great feeling of quality. Maybe even better than a Miele canister. It didn't have all the "bells and whistles" of the Miele, but it would be a tough call if I had to choose one. I've never used a Dyson upright and after having used the Dyson stick vac and loved it, I might not be too quick to criticize the Dyson, but I've picked one up in the store and it sure does feel creaky and cheap - something that can absolutely not be said of a Sebo or Miele.

    • @arevee9429
      @arevee9429 6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      P.S. With regard to the power head stopping on the heavy shag carpet, I'd say loose the carpet and keep the vacuum. The Sebo was much nicer than the rug.

    • @VacuumWars
      @VacuumWars  6 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      I have to agree on all counts! I also noticed that on thicker carpets the power head is not nearly as good.
      I have seen reviews of the Sebo canister vs the Meile and it seemed like a very close race!

    • @Blackout720
      @Blackout720 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      From my experience, Sebo's canisters don't seem to have a strong fit at the joints, at least in UK. There's air leaking between wand and floor head and wand and hose. I tired E1 and K1 and both had the same problem.
      Miele is far better in this case. Its cleaners have a really tight fit there.

    I wish that Singapore also have this lightweight upright cleaner. The current cylinder, the long hairs will trap on the cylinder cleaner's floor head brushes. I have to use my hand to remove the hairs. Very troublesome and we only have this cordless stick that always drain the battery very fast. My house is quite large for this cordless stick. It is unfair for me. And my dad prefer an upright. He kept on abusing my cylinder by making slam on her wheels and cable

    You say 'Test 1' and kick each vacuum down the stairs.

      I would say that because of the sift roller on the V10 Absolute is is much better for hard floors, but it depends on the size of your home. If you can vacuum it all in about 28 min For medium power, or 45 min for low power then I would god with the V10 but you would have to keep changing the head unless you just wanted to use the motorhead which is good in its own right for hard floors just not as good as the fluffy.

    How does the Sebo Felix compare to the Kenmore Elite Pet 31150?

  • @sprockkets
    @sprockkets ปีที่แล้ว

    The problem with this vac is once the bag starts to fill its suction falls off a cliff. You can fill a Shark or any bagless up to near full and suction still is fine. Which meant if you want good suction you'll be replacing the bag around 50 percent full.
    And with Sebo cloth bags that gets expensive rather quick, esp if you use one professionally.

    • @pauljones3521
      @pauljones3521 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually they have ribs going the full length of the bag inside the unit so the suction doesn't fall of a cliff,so I doubt this is true,also unlike bagless the bags compress the dirt,hair etc,so you don't have to change nearly as often,do you even own one?

    • @sprockkets
      @sprockkets ปีที่แล้ว

      @@pauljones3521 Why yes, I did, and got rid of it because it didn't work for my needs. Plus I own a Karcher/Windsor S12 hepa vacuum that does the same exact thing. In fact, there's a line on them that probably marks where they should be changed, about 2/3rds full.
      Worse yet for you, I have an anemometer that verifies my claims. What do you have, fanboi snark?

  • @sunshinecycling
    @sunshinecycling ปีที่แล้ว

    @Vacuum Wars, any chance of you reviewing the Sebo X4/7/8? From what I've read, they have automatic height adjustment, which should be interesting. They also have a "boost" or "brush" button, which allows greater resistance on the brush before making an adjustment to the height...thereby allowing deeper brush action and more agitation. This sounds like a great machine, not to mention build quality and warranty. But curious on about the objective test data. They all seem to have identical power, size, etc., so I don't know what the real differences are.

  • @robwalton2007
    @robwalton2007 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

    I would agree, the Sebo Felix is a good vacuum, & a better choice than most other bagged uprights. I own a Sebo Felix Onyx & Rosso as well. However, there are some flaws that make it unacceptable to me. The "S Class" filtration system that Sebo claims filters as well as sealed HEPA vacuums is definitely flawed & nowhere near as good as a sealed HEPA vacuum. Put a particle counter on it while it's running & watch it fail miserably. The bags & filters are pricy & poor quality - Sebo's bags are only 3 ply HEPA Cloth material, whereas Miele's bags are 9 ply & you can fill them 3/4 full before you notice any loss of suction/airflow. Sebo's bags will clog much faster, just like any other HEPA Cloth bag does, & the worst part is bag cost for both brands is comparable. In addition, the bag chamber is poorly designed so as to not allow maximum airflow. Where's the dusting brush & extension wand? Inexcusable for a vacuum in it's price point to not have them standard. The powerhead has no headlight, nor do they make a optional powerhead that has one. The vacuum is very tippy when using tools, to the point you had better have one hand on the cleaner when using the tools, & it's big & bulky when converting it to use as a portable canister. The ET1 powerhead also needs some refinement = the power button is way too small, I actually put a metal pushbutton switch in it's place it was THAT annoying how small it was. The swivel steering is a joke, the powerhead neck doesn't make the powerhead swivel much at all, the Wessel Werk powerheads are far better at this. Also, I find that on some low pile rugs, if you put it on Position 1, that's too low and it's hard to push, yet put it on Position 2 and you barely feel the brushroll grooming the carpet. It needs 1 more height position added to the 4 height adjustments to make it ideal. One really bad trait this vacuum has also is it throws a LOT of heat - if you're sensitive to heat in the summer months, avoid using it as much as possible or find someone else to vacuum. One little tip on the floorbrush - if you take out the front bristle strip, it won't snowplow debris and it actually becomes 1 of the best floor brushes for pet hair, it just gulps it right in without much getting caught on the bristles.
    Don't get me wrong, it is a nice vacuum. But for my money, I would much rather take the Kenmore Elite you reviewed ANY DAY over the Sebo Felix.

      I don't really mind not having a wand. Dusting brush would be useful though. Can't understand why they don't want to include it with their machines. Maybe cause they know it's rubbish as the bristles just end up being sucked by the suction no matter what power setting is on.
      Sadly, you're completely right if it's about Sebo's bags. We've had E1 for a long time. There's a noticeable amount of dust in the chamber even when the bag isn't full. Something that Miele is much better at.
      Yeah, you're right about particles test. I think Performance Reviews has a video where he compares E3 with Miele C3 and E3 is nowhere near as good as Miele.

      Sadly, you're right. I might add that the power nozzle is unbalanced which makes it awkward to lift the cleaner over onto an area rug. I wish it had that two-step system they have on the X7 where you can choose between half (45 deg.) and full recline (90 deg.)

      @@Blackout720 Sorry to hear about your experience with the Ultra bags. I haven't found one of the Sebo bags leaking dust yet - like I noted above, my gripe with them is you only get 3 ply HEPA Cloth bag material whereas Miele charges the same prices for their bags and you get 9 ply HEPA Cloth bags that you can literally pack 3/4 full before you start to see the airflow drop. One tip I do have - when you start to see the suction drop, take the bag out with the cap on, take it outside, give the bag a good vigorous shake, and reinstall in the cleaner. That will loosen the fine dust & dirt that clogs the bag material & renew the cleaner's suction & airflow. As for the dusting brush, I have the triangle dusting brush the uprights and K Series canisters have, and haven't had the issue of the brsitles being sucked in. Do you have the round one that comes standard on the D4 and E Series canisters?

    Are generic (i.e. EnviroCare) vacuum cleaner bags O.K. to use for SEBO vacuums? In my case a X4 Automatic I just purchased but am not a fan of. It has a 10 year warranty so I should be covered and the non OE bags are a fraction of the cost. Thanks for your insight.

    I'd love to have one of these vacuums, but I'm in Ontario, Canada so I'd have to purchase it from Amazon Canada and at $1000, it's really out of my price range! Plus the parts are hard to get here for the Sebo and the bags are like $50-$60 for a pack of 5 bags. I mean, YES, we're use to getting ripped off for everything here, but those numbers are just a bit ridiculous!

    I've had my black Sebo Felix for just under a year and have only used it about 6 times. I really don't like the machine for some reason. It's very well made but it does snow plow items on hard surfaces unless you remember to adjust the height. The short on-board hose is a joke and makes dusting and cleaning furniture a challenge. I keep meaning to put it on Ebay!

      How much are you selling it for?

    • @Blackout720
      @Blackout720 4 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah, that's sadly truth. In addition, even though it weighs the same as newest Dyson uprights, it feels much heavier, especially while vacuuming stairs. You can obviously use it without the cleaner head but I still find it heavy and uncomfortable. In addition while using it in this mode, it can blow really hot air on you. My partner was literally refusing to use it for this reason. Upholstery tool is great but when you clean pet hair with it, you need to clean it very often and that's not as easy as you would think. We took it to my partner's mother when she moved to a new house. Vacuumed whole house, no longer than a week later it started to smell badly and the bag wasn't even in 50% full. Can't really imagine how people can use the same bag for 3 months.
      I'm just really torn as it's great on carpets and rugs. Although despite height adjustment it couldn't cope with our shaggy rug. It was literally about to snap on the handle when I was pushing it on our shaggy rug.
      Easy access hose is great when you want to vacuum your crevices or sofas but it becomes really annoying when the cleaner easily falls over or when you need to clean the upholstery tool.

    Just curious: would you pick this Felix 1, or the Sebo X4 for short carpet and hardwood floors? I need quality, durability, maneuverability, and HEPA filter options. It MUST be bagged, not cannister. I'm dealing with a flea infestation, and it is likely going to be put to good use with baseboards and carpet, not to mention dust bunnies and hair clumps on hardwood flooring. My el-cheapo cannister Dirt Devil upright just isn't up to the task.....too cheap and doesn't vacuum baseboards. Thanks!

    I had to two Mieles and had to replace my upright .... no longer available .... so ended with the Sebo Felix. I've had it a year now. Suction and hard floor attachment are great, and love the swivel feature. But I think the person who designed this vacuum cleaner should be hung by their toes! Does NO ONE ELSE have problems getting this thing to stand up? I am SOOOOOOOO sick of pulling it (latched in place) into another room or even a few feet and have it tip over and slam me in the toes. I am CONSTANTLY having to pick it up, usually in total frustration and set it back down, telling it to "STAY". My dogs look at me confused. They're used to hearing that, but not used to hearing me say it to the vacuum cleaner. And the Sebo Felix doesn't listen anyway. I'd do anything to have my Miele back. Why would ANYONE design something so top heay that it cannot stand up? I don't get it.

Trust me if you worked in a vacuum shop and took the sharks apart for repairs you would see why they are a joke. The motors are smaller than your fist and are not rated for more than 800hours of use meaning the motors will fail within a year or so depending on use. Why people buy into that garbage is beyond me.

I have three Sharks and motors in those are super small and they run extremely high rpm = running very hot.
