In a world that's gone completely topsy turvy, scenes like this give us 8 minutes of peace and joy. Thanks for all you do.

Most of those southbound grain trains are G-VBTPTLs, connecting CN to UP. CN brings it to Thornton to interchange with BNSF, then at Portland they interchange with UP to bring it down south usually to somewhere in California.

Thanks for this valuable info, which everyone appreciates! I'll add the symbol to the video's description...

Apparently, I share that same genetic defect, because I can sit trackside for hours just to see a train go by.
    Merry Christmas Burr. 🚂🎄

Two trains for the price of one. Good catch Burr. In the old days it was more interesting with all the different covered hoppers and other freight cars that were more frequently seen on the rails. Now almost every cov hopper is the same. Only reporting marks and road numbers are seen on these otherwise plain grey cov hoppers. The 80's and 90's were the best era in railroading for me since it had both new and old rolling stock. The plain old reporting marks only was making more appearances but still had the old equipment with the larger lettering and logo's of various RR companies and leasing/private owner cars including boxcars. Have a great Christmas holiday to you and your family Burr. 🎅🏻🎄🚂🚃🚃🚃 Ho Ho Ho

Out of habit, I waved to the train running by... on my cellphone...
