  • This original ‘survivor’ truck was delivered by Fairway Chevrolet in San Bruno California to Emil and Virginia Altomar on the 28th of July, 1970.
The purchase price was US$3,833.25, a lot of money at the time reflecting the many factory options fitted to the truck. This included the LS9 option 350 ‘Quadrajet' V8, ‘Turbo Hydra-matic’ 350 automatic transmission, air conditioning, power brakes, power steering, tinted windows, chrome wheel covers, chrome front and rear bumpers, upper and lower body mouldings, front stabilizer bar and full instrument set. It has all the original sales and warranty documentation including the 'Protect-O-Plate' and service records.
Mr and Mrs Altomar cherished their truck and kept it for 35 years. This along with the dry California climate explains its remarkable, rust-free condition. In 2005, it was purchased by the second owner in Modesto, CA, who continued to care for the truck very well.
In 2011 it was discovered by a New Zealand collector who imported the truck into New Zealand in November of that year. It remained in their careful ownership until the current owners pestered them to sell and it changed hands in January 2019 for just the 4th time in 54 years.
Thanks to the care of the three previous owners, this factory correct survivor can be enjoyed by our family and continues to receive the care and attention it deserves.

Peter, muchas gracias por tu comentario. You know your C10 trucks. I like the way Chevrolet/GMC called the colours of the trucks just by the colour name. The cars were given fancy names like "Mediterranean Blue". Like you said, The trucks just got "Red", "Green", "Black" or in the case of our truck "White & Medium Blue" (Option No. 531). This got shortened to "White & Med Blue" on the Service Parts Identification label inside the glovebox lid (see 2:08 in the video).
