Such cuties! My babies are all rescues and sometimes they are work, but they’re also incredibly grateful for love and loving and loyal in return. And accidentally hilarious with their individual quirks.

Our 2nd dog is an 88 lb rescue. Within the first month I was bit let and right while trying to groom him until a small dog got in our backyard and our big guy that it was a toy. His tooth went threw my hand but I didn't get mad and I stepped between my husband and our big guy and explained it was my fault not my big boys fault. Anyway he is still here and loves to be brushed more then anything now. In March our dear friend passed away and he got a pup the week before. His kids live out of state and they said, " we will get the pup the day we bury our father." 2 months later we buried him. I had little Miss Daisy next to me during the service, she started to scream so I took her over and visited my dad's grave. The service ended and I went to hand Daisy over and his daughter said, " Oh we can't take her tonight we'll pick her up in the morning before we leave town." I stayed with the routine we had everyday, I sent a text telling the daughter good morning and got no response, so I just went on like a normal day. My husband got home from work and Miss Daisy was still here, again we reached out with phone calls going to voicemail. The next morning I allowed the dogs to sleep in and my husband looked at me and said, "I know we are overwhelmed with financial issues (our daughters health) but I don't want to let Daisy go, if we do I will not have Charlie with me. Can we manage to make it if we keep Daisy." I told him I'd answer after work. I held out hope for a phone call but nothing so when he got home and he cuddled Daisy I said I'd figure it out. I really dislike puppy stage on a full time basis. Lol

The bonded pairs just absolutely shatter my heart. I knew a kid , whose dead now , considered him a friend. He had 2 dogs and I slept over his house 1 night. These poor things were kept in this small cage TOGETHER!! I asked him to please let them out and they came and snuggled with me on the couch, they read my energy and knew I loved them unconditionally. These 2 pups were so bonded with eachother they would not leave the others side. I never talked to this friend ever again after that night and he soon after lost his house, and the dogs I heard got adopted to different homes and I cried that day I found out. Karma must not have liked what he did, cuz last year he was hit by a car and killed.

Just rescued my first dog last year and it was the greatest feeling. I just want her to be happy and she’s such a love bug it makes me melt. She does shed a hell of a lot though but it’s a bullet I’m willing to bite 🤭🤭🤭. I’ll be rescuing from now on.💕

I reached a German Shepherd after I had one working homicides with law enforcement
Bammmm!!!!! He was mine. It took one yeard working with him in positive reinforcement. FINALLY, he stopped hating people and started loving other dogs. But he was six years old when I got him.

Always remember dogs need outdoor activities in grass or open places often. Don’t forget to let your dog roam sometimes

I love animals more than humans. It bothers me to see kids bother doggos and make them feel uncomfortable. It also bothers me to see people use dog collars instead of harnesses. It’s inhumane to use collars. As a pet lover myself, I understand the importance of keeping our furry friends safe and comfortable. That's why I wanted to bring to your attention the benefits of using a dog harness instead of a dog collar. First and foremost, a dog harness provides better control over your pet, especially during walks. Unlike collars, which only wrap around a dog's neck, a harness distributes the pressure evenly across the dog's chest and shoulders. This means that if your dog pulls or lunges, you can control them without causing any harm or discomfort to their neck. Secondly, a harness can be more comfortable for your dog to wear, particularly for breeds with short snouts or breathing difficulties. When a dog wears a collar, it can put pressure on their neck, making it harder for them to breathe. In contrast, a harness doesn't put any pressure on the dog's neck, making it a more comfortable option. Additionally, a harness can be a safer option for dogs who like to escape from their collars. Dogs can wiggle out of collars, but with a properly fitted harness, it's much harder for them to slip out. This can give you peace of mind when walking your dog in busy areas or near roads. Finally, using a harness can prevent any damage to your dog's throat or neck. Dogs that constantly pull on a collar can cause harm to their windpipe and even their spine. A harness can avoid this by distributing the pressure evenly across their body. In conclusion, I highly recommend using a dog harness over a collar for the safety and comfort of your pet.

LOVE this video! I've worked at a shelter before and you'd be amazed how many dogs go back to the shelter immediately after the 1st accident they have. People don't want to take the time to work with the animal. Dogs love to please us, it really doesn't take that much work.
Please, give them some time to adjust. You really don't start seeing the animal's actual personality until a couple months in.

Rescuing a bonded pair or siblings can also help reduce the separation anxiety they feel when their new family isn't with them.

Both of my Bully’s are rescues.. they were a little older and sadly the male we had coincidentally named Bully we only had for 3 years before he passed:(
But we gave him the best last years of his life and he gave us the specialness of himself!
We still have our female, Remi Luna and honestly I’d like to get her another companion but she’s a tad difficult when it comes to socializing!! She’s picky & she likes to test the other dog! She’s a dominant bitch so I’ll have to get another male.
Regardless it’s all so worth it.. I would rescue all of them if I could:)
    Every 🐕 deserves a 🏡 not every 🏡 deserves a 🐕 ❤ 🐾
