For those that are confused about the talk about failure around the 10-minute-mark, it's kind of like the Battle of Mai Castle, in which you must complete the task before approaching the enemy main force. You're supposed to save your allies in the north and south before proceeding. Unfortunately, King Duosi's unit in the north only counts as "saved" after defeating the enemy officers AND the Wei Destroyers. They sort of count as independent "officers", that's why your allies seem to be in constant battle with what appears to be the remaining, morale-less footsoldiers. That's why the central barrier is being destroyed by the enemy ram instead of allied elephant units. If the Wei Destroyers are difficult to defeat, I think their stats weaken after escorting the Nanman Juggernauts, but don't quote me on this.
