the way i see it, the kwid got more damage than the maruti.
you didnt see it has two airbags. more damage means more absorption of the hit rather than passing to passengers

Here in the Philippines S presso have 2 airbags for both driver and front passenger. Why only for driver's side is available here in the test video?
because gncap usually do the test on base model.Base model of s presso in india have driver side air bag.
In India, most people buy the lower class variants of the S-Presso so NCAP testers will test those ones as they are very popular. And in India, the strictness of safety stars is quite lenient so that's why it only has a driver airbag.

Kwid is even safer than Swift!! KWID scored 7.78 out of 17 for adult while swift scored 7.08 out of 17 what a shame maruti. If a car that ranges from 6-9 lakhs scores less than a entry level hatchback that be sure how poor maruti is 😂
Thats the african version kwid bro, in india kwid gets dual airbags are only in rxl and rxt(climber) that too is optional. While in spresso you can get dual airbag, seat belt pretensioners in optional varient for just 7000rs across the range. Also spresso got speed sensitive autodoor lock from second top model vxi. And the tested spresso is lxi without driver airbag and seatbelt pretensiiners. Seat belt pretensioners are not offered in any of the varients of kwid.

Both of them are safer than a motorcycle and the Spresso is 2 thousand cheaper.
Motorcycle won't cost 4 lakh in india and you can buy 4 motorcycle with that money

They have tested base model which have one air bag and less safety features
Kwid model tested here is African model. Indian model Kwid also got zero rating only on safety aspects
Indian version kwid upgraded in 2019 to meet Indian govt crash test norms. So it must be similar to the African version tested in 2020
@@karthikv7137 no. Indian kwid tested with single (driver) air bag. Passenger air bag is optional. Tested in African has passenger and driver air bag by default.

Moreover passenger airbag makes less difference in final safety rating. As most serious injuries occur to the driver upon the impact with steering wheel in general. We can see the 2016 gncap report of kwid available in net when kwid scored zero. Driver chest protection was poor even with a airbag. But passenger chest protection is weak but better than driver.
I also don't mean to say kwid is so safe like tata's new age cars. But kwid is better than most maruti cars after upgraded for Indian crash norms in 2019.
@@karthikv7137 May be lets wait and see for the latest Indian kwid crash test results. We cannot expect that much safety in entry level cars whether it's Maruti or Renault or Datsun. Safety is something on our hands. We should drive properly and carefully.
Even if kwid scores like maruti at least it looks better. Dying in a lunch box is the last thing I want for myself.
In india most people ride motorcycle for daily transportation,which is much more dangerous than any car,what else you can get in 4 lakh.

Actually ncap rating is a marketing gimmick, it’s tested in 64 kmph speed, none In highway will go in such speed . If u hit any object in 110 kph even Tata will take more damage

They have tested the lowest variant of spresso. The higher variant has 2 airbags and all safety features that kwid does. The lower end kwid doesnt have 2 airbags either, but they used the higher one for some reason.
