In an age of TH-camrs that seem to be in a competition to see who can be the loudest, I found this a nice change of pace. Just shots of all the fun toys of the day. It also made me realize how much I miss Baron Karza and Andromeda.
I'll say it once and I'll say it again I tell everybody that the 70s produced the best toys ever. Of course I'm extremely fond of the Six Million Dollar Man and The Bionic Woman I've been collecting both prospective toy lines for over 30 years. Needless to say I have a lot of great toys from the 70's and very early 80's enjoy them very much.
Every year waiting for the toys catalog to come was the best thing, born in 68, make 2 list one for mom and dad, then the big one to my grandparents, I miss Christmas as a kid. Toys were toys. Atari 2600 I thought was the greatest thing.
Hank Messaros, I was born in 68 also. I loved all the toys from back then! I still have my 6 million dollar man doll. I miss Christmas back then allot!
Remember when toys demanded that you use your imagination, also I used to have the space 1999 spacecraft and I loved building the Aurora glow in the dark movie monster kits, and Aurora prehistoric scenes
The 70's were a great time to be a kid. I vividly remember playing with the Shogun Warriors, Evel Knievel motorcycle and energized Spider Man. I may have had Mr. Mouth too, but I'm not 100% sure. Honorable mention should also go to the Big Wheel, Fisher Price toys, Tonka trucks, Matchbox, Hot Wheels, Big Trak, checkers, Candy Land, Loc Blocs (a small kids version of Legos), slot car sets, Lionel train sets, etc. Some of those may have had their origins in earlier decades, but they translated well into the 70's and beyond.
The Sears catalog!!! The highlight of the Christmas season when it showed all those colorful and amazing toys you so desperately begged Santa for but your parents could rarely afford! I have two catalogs one from Wards and the other a Sears Christmas toy catalog. My kids go nuts every year when I put them out during the season!
The Sears (Christmas Wishbook) is from 1983 and the Wards (Winter catalog) is from 1979. I got them because they denote the ColecoVision, Intellivision, Atari 2600, Atari 5200 and Texas Instruments computer. I'm hoping someone will start posting catalogs online and hope to scan mine so there is a reference online for them.
0:54, something I once owned and can't ever remember where it went. Toys (like socks and glasswear) had a way of disappearing. It was a cool figure although the plastic dome simply laid in place and would often fall off during play.
It's funny how you knew as a kid what to expect with each brand. Remco was aways cool in the box, but disappointing when you played with it. Aurora wasn't too hot unless it was their cars. I had forgotten all about having that little rubber Smokey Bear until now. Seeing it made my eyes water up.
Hugo, man of a thousand faces...Mighty Men and Monsters Maker...Godzilla and Rodan...the Talking JJ Walker doll...the Mork Egg thing...Rom the Space Knight...I had SO MANY of these toys!!! Like, I easily had more than half of the stuff listed here. I never had Bionic Bigfoot though, and that still makes me sad to this day.
I remember most of the mid 70's an past...I have a question though...what was the great resurgence of the Old Vintage monster's from the movies back then? I remember a updated Dracula movie from then an Kolchak: The Night Stalker on TV (as young as I was) but surely there must be more of a reason that I missed.
awesome stuff man! could you or anyone tell me what toy line was at time 5:05, the black and red/orange figure and horse. i've been seaching for years to identify, I had a dragonlfy type ship with those exact colours and looks like it's from the mentioned time stamp. any info would be greatly appreciated!
Nice selection! Walking into a toy store back then meant being equipped with a 60 seconds of commercial in your head,..and what your friends talked about,...and hoping you had enough money on you,...and you wandered.....looking for “IT”
wow what a collection ! i was just i little kid in early 70s but i seem to remember some space men/alien figures that were based on the planets (one for each) they may have been made of rubber even .i have never seen them on any auction or you tube vid. do u recall any thing like that ? thx 4 awesome vids. !
+brewcrew Yes. You're probably thinking of The Outer Space Men. They were made by Colorforms, believe it or not. Look in my playlist of forgotten toy lines and you'll find a video on them. Let me know if that's it. Thanks for watching!
I had 3 robots about 10 inches high 1 red 1 blue & 1 gold . They took small batteries in the bottom of there feet . F*%k knows what they were called but I played with them for hours . Ive tried googling them 🤷♂️
I still have my shogun warriors I live in Japan now I was offered some good amount of cash but they are so apart of my childhood I can’t part with them
+breakingdragon22 Understood. Hold onto them forever. Money is easy to come by, but these could never be replaced because they were yours. Thanks for watching!!
Oldest Kid In The World I can say this after watching a few more of you videos I had a large majority of these toys and they were well taken care of I left most of my collection in the states (apartments here are small) I was wondering have you ever heard of these toys called Ding-aLings (no joke) I received them Christmas 1969, 6 small robots and a large one they could go inside I just picked them up at a yard sale for (my dog chewed up my originals from 69). I must also thank my parents I wanted for nothing but far from spoiled I would get the strap from time to time but the collection of toys I was give is incredible but they also hold great memories of great times. I can remember my mother and father looking all over for the six millon dollar man figure took us six months but I finally got it for Christmas 1975 (as well as maskatron, Bigfoot, and Oscar) , or getting the mego Batman with the removable cowl on a rainy Friday in green acres mall NY 1974. It’s the value of the memories is why I still have my toys. I’ll be waiting and watching for more videos. Thanks
+breakingdragon22 That's a new one on me. I'm sure going to look them up though. I try to learn as much as possible about this stuff, so thanks for the info!!!
Hey does anybody remember what the name of the Black Knight in the black horse at the 505 Mark is I had the toy I just can't remember what it was called
Hey, hope you see this, because I'm dying to find out what line the android like figures starting at 5:07/5:08 are from. I had the blue one as a kid and it is one of a very few I had that I can't identify, and I'd be extremely grateful if you could fil in that brain gap. Thanks!
When I put together videos like this, I try to avoid the things that everyone is extremely familiar with. Nothing against G.I.Joe, it's been an awesome toy line. Thanks for watching!

One of the toys was so obscure that I never thought about it for decades. And there it was! Thanks for awakening a very old memory. Sincerely.
We had the BEST toys ever!!

Hulk never wore a utility belt and Bigfoot didn't need a freak'n motorcycle. Just say'n.

Mighty men and monster maker oh man.. aha, i remember now! We played quite alot with this "toy / monster maker. Thank's for the good memories!
I had a lot of these toys. There are some I didn’t have but played with at a friend’s house.
WOW! The memories! I had at least 50% of what’s here! Thank you!

The Sears Toy catalog was always something we waited for in the mail. Many a sibling fight over who'd get it first..

What year(s) are your catalogs from?

Great toys with some even greater memories 😃
Awesome memories. I had a few of these toys. I had Crusher, the blue disc shooter and Suckerman
0:54, something I once owned and can't ever remember where it went. Toys (like socks and glasswear) had a way of disappearing. It was a cool figure although the plastic dome simply laid in place and would often fall off during play.
Very true, and many times it was a vital piece that grew legs and walked away, if not the whole toy itself.
Glad to see the Micronauts made it in here. The last one was Force 10 from Navarone. Played with it for hours.
Guns of Navarone was a great toy
It's funny how you knew as a kid what to expect with each brand. Remco was aways cool in the box, but disappointing when you played with it. Aurora wasn't too hot unless it was their cars. I had forgotten all about having that little rubber Smokey Bear until now. Seeing it made my eyes water up.
Presenting Hugo!!! I had not thought of that in years. I had that!!!
The man of 1000 faces.
1:28 Mazinga!!! @ 1:48 does anybody else remember The Thing figure?! @ 2:41 I totally had that wow.
Hugo, man of a thousand faces...Mighty Men and Monsters Maker...Godzilla and Rodan...the Talking JJ Walker doll...the Mork Egg thing...Rom the Space Knight...I had SO MANY of these toys!!! I still have my micronauts n my show n tell...i loved it it was my tv..lol...
I still have that black robot horse, from the Micronauts line. And two adventure people who I got because they were the right scale for my dollhouse.
The alien doll was truly scary! 1st time I saw the hands pop out of its mouth I freaked!
I had the Weeble Wobble Haunted House and the Mister Mouth game...fun to see them!
Candy Smith

Hahahhahhaa. I wanted that $6 million man action figure. But I ended up with the two dollar man action figure.
Nice selection! Walking into a toy store back then meant being equipped with a 60 seconds of commercial in your head,..and what your friends talked about,...and hoping you had enough money on you,...and you wandered.....looking for “IT”

The Shogun warriors were the coolest! I had all of them, wish I still did!
I had Godzilla and Rodan. Still in great condition, in my art studio!
I wouldn't like Hugo on my Bedside Table
+Bigstep uk
I don't think even Hugo himself would like a Hugo on his bedside table! 😂
yup that's the way i remember it ...where's Pulsar ?
Hey does anybody remember what the name of the Black Knight in the black horse at the 505 Mark is I had the toy I just can't remember what it was called
That's Baron Karza, from the Micronauts toy line.
Does anyone remember the screaming Demons, they were guys on motorcycles
The only thing wrong with the video is his failure to include Pulsar The Ultimate Man of Adventure and GI Joe.
I remember Pulsar. You would press his back and his lungs would fill up and you see the blood flow in his chest.
Hey, hope you see this, because I'm dying to find out what line the android like figures starting at 5:07/5:08 are from. I had the blue one as a kid and it is one of a very few I had that I can't identify, and I'd be extremely grateful if you could fil in that brain gap. Thanks!

Hey there! Yes, those are Micronauts from the Time Travelers series, I believe. They came in an Egyptian style sarcophagus.
Thanks so much for the info!
Krusher was awesome
Dr. Evil and Hugo... wonder where Mike Myers got his ideas...???
spent my youth destroying many of these, Now I spend my money looking for replacements on eBay...
Is it just me or does Hugo look a bit like Dr.Evil from the Austin Powers movies?
At 5:11 . What's the name of those toys?
+002less Those are Micronaughts Time Travelers.
Wonderful trip down memory lane but why no planet of the apes?
That must have been a memory lapse.
They left out the best of the west, action Jackson, GI Joe , and Steve Scout, I don’t see the bionic woman as a boy toy back then
No G.I Joe?
When I put together videos like this, I try to avoid the things that everyone is extremely familiar with.
Nothing against G.I.Joe, it's been an awesome toy line.
Thanks for watching!
le uvieses puesto mucica de pérdida el vídeo perese sementerio amigo.
