Sumit bhai, for registration of vehicles we have to sign a Form 20 where chasis number and other details of the car is mentioned. One should check every document before signing. Amol bhai may not have checked the details of the car being registered in his name and signed the Form 20. Then only the dealer was able to do that fraud.

Even the company should be liable and notices should be issued to both Company and the dealer. Since the customer has no option to buy directly from the Company and these dealers are authorised dealers and only dealing with the Companies cars they are nothing but the extension of the Company hence both the Company and the Dealer is liable to compensate the customer. The customer should file a Case in Consumer Court without fear and hesitation … its the fundamental right.
