Last beta I logged in on the last day and spent 4 hours customising my character and palico. After that I was so tired I fell asleep just to wake up and miss the beta entirely LOL Looking forward to using my character this beta

the OBT1 version of the game was from february 2024 and will be reused for the OBT2 in february in addition of one more monster. In that regard, the optimization and balance changes are one year ahead of the public accessible beta version.

The beta should probably have a pop upp warning text when you bot up the game saying how weapon balancing and changes have not been implemented and that the beta 2 will be the same version as the first one.

He's actually in the first beta test but for some reason they scrap it. The data and everything is in there to the point you can literally swap one of the monster and the gypceros works flawlessly
And beyond. You need to live through to 2026 to experience everything going by the past couple of MH games, with the possibility of a few optional super grindy endgame systems, new variations on hunts and a Master Rank expansion requiring that you still be alive at the end of the year to experience them.
I actually did a double take because I thought I was watching gameplay from an earlier MH game when they showed Gypceros. I see they brought that goofy, rubber MOFO back. I wonder if their predator will be back too.
I love that the description for the vid specifically mentions hitstop as being something that will be added into the game but wasn't able to be added for this. They knew people want it.

@@kizugawa07 I had ruled it out until they announced that they'd be putting helicopter dancing back in lol so now it's back on the list. I put about 300 hours into IG in MHW. Loved every minute.
@@shujima0666 The Helicopter dance was never removed. Just the aerial bounce that helped extend the time airborne. I did the aerial attacks a ton during the 1st beta. Speaking of, none of the weapon changes will be present in this beta, so this beta will still be without the aerial bounce move.

Thank god I'm going to have my new graphics card in time for the 2nd beta, I couldn't play the 1st time around because my old comp couldn't run it...! I built a whole new one to prepare for the release! Monster Hunter Dev team are the absolute best!
After experiencing the 1st beta on my PS5, i just couldn't go through that shit again. I went and build a pc with an rtx 4090. Time to experience the game in all its true glory!!

And mind you, I've got an LG Oled with VRR enabled and both the image quality/performance were bad. But if you feel it's good for you, then "Happy Hunting!" friend.

That being said, my friends do tell me I am an alien, but I literally cannot see a difference between 30 and 80 fps. I notice when fps dips below 25, and I do realize when I am getting close to 100, but everything inbetween looks completely alike to me, so I do take what I am saying as my own experience. Basically, if I get framedrops anywhere inbetween that margin between 30 and 80, I will not be able to tell that it happened.

it’s the same as before! gypceros was already on the game files of the previous beta test and actually with some tweaks you were able to fight him and also the new improvements and better performance won’t be there so it is indeed the same beta build from before
Kind of misleading to call this one a beta isnt it? If none of the fixes or improvements are coming then this isnt actually testing anything, its just a demo.
Mixed bag. I’m happy they’re being very honest (in the vid description) about how the Beta will be. But, I’m also kinda confused. That close to release, I’ve been expecting an actual Demo. With the near-finished product’s level of performance and play. So, Insect Glaive users, Lance users, PC performance, etc and any other more-worked upon weapon, will still have to wait for the full release to see the changes the first Beta showed were needed? Mixed bag. But, it’s free. So not a loss. Just had hoped for a real demo like most the previous generations.

I love this team. They're one of the only big developers left that seems to genuinely care about what their fanbase thinks and actively tries to make them happy.

Ooh, I JUST missed the first beta setting up my new rig. Can't wait to actually get to put it through the paces! I would have been happy with just a benchmark to be honest, but this is even better.

it’s the same as before! gypceros was already on the game files of the previous beta test and actually with some tweaks you were able to fight him and also the new improvements and better performance won’t be there so it is indeed the same beta build from before
Kind of misleading to call this one a beta isnt it?
If none of the fixes or improvements are coming then this isnt actually testing anything, its just a demo.

Mixed bag.
I’m happy they’re being very honest (in the vid description) about how the Beta will be. But, I’m also kinda confused. That close to release, I’ve been expecting an actual Demo. With the near-finished product’s level of performance and play.
So, Insect Glaive users, Lance users, PC performance, etc and any other more-worked upon weapon, will still have to wait for the full release to see the changes the first Beta showed were needed? Mixed bag. But, it’s free. So not a loss. Just had hoped for a real demo like most the previous generations.
