Trust me there is they’re hiding during the day and towards the back of the property there’s a section that’s sort of hidden and there’s probably 20 homeless tents put up
There are so many abandoned properties in the 192/I-drive corridor it amazes me how many places went boom or bust in that area, and how few success stories there are. I guess that's why I like the Florida project so much. As much as I love on site resorts. Places like these are needed for guests who just can't afford to stay on property. It's getting harder and harder to find decent places to stay that aren't on Universal's or Disney's grounds.
Thank You so much for this video. We stayed there for a week while on our honeymoon in Aug of 1975. At the time we lived in Buffalo NY. We now live in Florida and have been past the site a few times but have never gone on the property. It was a beautiful complex years ago.
It’s very sad to see the property in that condition now. I still remember when it was the Hyatt, before they expended I4 and the 192 interchange it used to be easier to see the property from the interstate, and I still remember that there was an old Hyatt sign Probably dated to when the place opened that was still there at least into the 90s. I tried to check out the property one time but I think it was after it had closed as a Hyatt and before it opened as the Orlando Sun resort, and at the time the property was fenced off. I’m sad that I never got to see it in better condition.
There is CLEARLY a dude that walks across the balcony. If you cannot see that, perhaps you need glasses. However I am sure you just think you're funny.
I agree. Building the same type of project on top of what was? New condos have been built on 192, so why not residential single family homes. Adding a wheel seems to make it an extension of Old Town.
Hey, thanks for the tip about where those bricks were. I went and picked up his many of them as I could for a project I have thank you so much for letting me know where they were. I live local to you as well I am on the other side of I4 in Kissimmee just outside of Disney.
Seems kind of a shame they left all those furnishings in that place to get destroyed. I’m sure there are thrift stores or something that could have repurposed some of it (the Yankee in me!). Good to see that the property at least will hopefully get new life
The previous video where you went inside was epic. It was like I was watching a horror film, waiting for someone or something to come out of the darkness.
I think I stayed in this hotel back in 96/97. I thought it was pretty neat because it featured a convenience store with a full deli inside the courtyard. EDIT -I think that’s it in the background at 7:53. Looks so familiar.
It was entering through the main entrance at 7:53 at the very end at your right. In the background used to be the bar, and at the left the front desk I add: a lovely Spanish woman used to work at the deli and used to prepare the best chilly hot dogs ever

I stayed there in the late 90’s when it was the Hyatt Orlando. It was starting to look dated back then, but the series of small courtyard buildings surrounding a small pool was actually very intimate and charming and gave the place a smaller scale than what it was.
Thanks for sharing! I enjoy all of your videos, including Disney World/ Disneyland, but when you film the outlying areas, ground, new developments, they really interesting. Thank you!
This is why I told you when you first got your cart, get a couple of cans of Fix-A-Flat to keep on your cart. When you venture into areas like this, you don't want to get a flat or break down.

Took a little bit for me to recognize the resort as the original Hyatt! That was my first Walt Disney World vacation in 1976 or 77! We drove down from Philly, no airplanes for me back then! What a wonderful trip that was, so long ago
This used to be a Hyatt Regency in the late 80's. I worked with someone who's wife worked for Hyatt and I remember talking about employee discounts. I distinctly remember this place running near 100 per nite while Holiday Inn East and Holiday Inn West running in the 60's. I would love to see my favorite go to in the 80's------ formerly the Travelodge Golden Triangle. Nice room at around $55 per nite. Love your videos!
Loving how you first started filming creepy hotels and motels off 192 in Kissimmee. This was a nice Hyatt hotel and surprised you didn’t mention the Hyatt roots. Hyatt closed it after hurricane damage from my recollection.

Hey Adam! Great video and great news! When I was watching your video I noticed something. If you go to 12:03 on the video and look to the left side of the screen you can see a person walking.
I saw someone walk past in the building on one of the connecting balconies around the 12:25 mark ...after you showed the burned section. 🌺🌴 Looking forward to seeing more footage of the process if possible.
Appropriate shirt you're wearing considering the location you filmed at! 😲 After I seen that person too,I kept looking at the walkways and balconies intently the rest of the time you were there.
We stay at Vacation Village right next to this pretty regularly. It will be nice to see the area built up. We see cars over there all the time. It’s not surprising there are people living there.
Would be a great filming location for a zombie apocalypse movie! I remember many years ago when it was a Hyatt we would eat at the restaurant there. Glad to hear it will FINALLY be turned into something good. Such prime property, it is hard to believe how long it has just sat there empty.
Was really happy you didn’t go exploring on foot Adam. That place gives of strange vibes. I was put in mind of that night scene from escape from New York when the crazies came up top
One of the things that always ticks me off is the amount of damage people do to these places. Other countries have a bit more respect for abandoned properties with items still intact just as they were left. Really wish some of these places would do some sort of auction before closing. Very sad to see furniture and items that could have been either donated or sold to someone who could use them. Very glad to see something happening here, it's one heck of an area to develop. I just hope that the hotels are not super expensive, would be nice to have a few more options on 192.
I am not familiar with this area. We passed something that looked like this on the way to Disney Springs/Magic Kingdom last week. Except there were no balconies or windows. All the “rooms” were wide open and you could still see all the furniture etc in the destroyed rooms. Is this the same place? My kids and I were curious about the property we saw. Thank you!
@RyanRe-rd6wv are blind? And, no one said homeless Anyways, right at 12:03-12:04, a guy can be seen just for a second, going across betwixt the 2 buildings
Honestly, I'd be afraid of someone running out after me, shooting at me, or just a flat tire. Too sad, remember staying there at some point in the early 1990s then going over to check out the progress of Celebration when it was being built, or at least a portion of the town center was completed. Remember seeing a lot of the Gem carts back then and believe Chrysler owned the Gem cart company back then. Hope to see something good go in it's place. It really was a nice place and it really wasn't that long ago. Glad to see you're keeping up with what's going on there, but I don't think I'd go in as far as you.
