to sum up: -occurs in areas of poor sanitation and tropical areas -adult is about 5 cms(thin 3/5,thick end blunt in female but curved in male) -mild:asymrtomatic moderate:diarhea,abdominal pain,nausea heavy infection:dysentry syndrome,anemia,rectal prolapse(due to tenesmus) -host immunologic response:eosinophilia -immunomodulation in case of crohn`s disease(imbalance in TH1 and TH2) -clinical suspicion:find the eggs-adult visible in colonoscopy -treatment:albendazole-mebendazole

New studies and research work is indicating that Triple dose of Albendazole is more effective over single dose. This is the topic taken for granted by majority of health care professionals.

What tips and pointers can you give to patients when interacting with Doctors; about possible parasitic infection(s)? Such as, asking for the, "Check your poop test," without looking like I've been reading from Google? lol. Most Doctors want to be led into the diagnosis and not told what to check for, by patients. I do understand! Once again, thank you fort the video!
I believe the same. I want to be checked for worms in my eyes. But yes people can have worms in the eyes. I have seen videos where Dr is removing worms from someone's eyes.

here in Ohio noticed blood in neighbors dogs stools--they took to vet and the dog had whipworm from eating raw deer meat.

The labs usually don't even see the eggs. Or they're not in the stool that day. Doctors just don't want to diagnose this for some reason.
