7:45 in a weird way, that’s how collecting military gear works, preserving old gear that when kept in the right condition, can still fight like it did back in the day. I own a Japanese Type 99 Arisaka rifle that has indications of it being a vet bring back taken off of a battlefield. My M1 Garand rifle falls within the serial number range of M1s given out to the 6th Marines before they left for Okinawa. My co-worker owns a German Luger P08 pistol his father “liberated” off of a fallen soldier.
9:00 Canonically speaking, nobody knows what happened to Easy Company after the war. I think they went on one last mission in the finals weeks of the war, but never returned. This means GI Robot never got the chance to see his boys again.
