There's not much difference. We say "leaning against" if it's a vertical object such as a tree or pole. Leaning on means you're taller than the thing you're leaning on. For example, I'm leaning on the table.

That's a great question. On task 3, you're just describing the things in the picture. On task 8, you have to call someone and describe a scene or an object. In task 3, there will be lots of things happening. In task 8, there will only be one thing.

That's a really great question! 😃😃The reason we can omit the article in that case is because "sky" and "countryside" are mass nouns. If the words were "house" and "field", then we need to say: The background is a house and a field.

Today I bought a post card to congratulate on Christmas day of my teacher. I was harring, so I quickly picked up that. When I came back to the home I discovered that was the another card. There's not much difference. We say "leaning against" if it's a vertical object such as a tree or pole. Leaning on means you're taller than the thing you're leaning on. For example, I'm leaning on the table.

I am going to describe what my hometown looks like. I was born in a small town in China although people were poor but they had everything they wanted there. Such as high mountains, long rivers, green forests and many animals... But now everything is being changed fast by human. I mean those things i remember once are disappearing... That's a great question. On task 3, you're just describing the things in the picture. On task 8, you have to call someone and describe a scene or an object. In task 3, there will be lots of things happening. In task 8, there will only be one thing.

Can you help me with one thing? I came across a picture description in one textbook and have some doubts. Here it is: The background is sky {without the} and open countryside {without the} Why is it possible to miss the definite article and would you say the sky or simply sky in such a sentence? Thanks a lot!
That's a really great question! 😃😃The reason we can omit the article in that case is because "sky" and "countryside" are mass nouns. If the words were "house" and "field", then we need to say: The background is a house and a field.
Good job with the tutorial videos. I just noticed in the picture description no one else was described with their colour or race except the black man. They is a black man leaning against the wall but you also said a man wearing shirt and jeans, why was this second man or the other people in the video not described as white or with their race?

i’m at the art gallery to buy something for our home . I’m seeing a very funny picture here .This is a picture is illustrating a scene of a bus stop where two person and 1 reindeer is waiting for a bus to come . These all look quite funny as One is santa claus holding his gift bag in his hands and the person on his left side is wearing coat pant and a hat the funny thing is that he is wearing shoes which are similar to ducks feet.And the most funny thing is that the reindeer is reading news paper . Isn’t it funny right . I’m sure you will like this picture very much .Apart from that the background of this picture is green in colour which is tour favorite colour . should i buy this picture ? ..... mark can you please score this ....?

this is a picture about seems to bus stop something kind cartoon picture ,very interesting thing is on the right side big deer reading a news paper and left side old man who is wearing colorful hat and blue shirts and light blue pants with brown colored shoe, and also with nice and tight red tie right hand with office bag, and his so exited to see the deer reading a news paper for very first time And middle old man and deer Santa also waiting to go to shopping i guess with the big bag to collect the gift and with his own beautiful red colored dress.

There is a bus stop in this picture. And there are three...sort of human standing next to the bus stop sign side by side. Let's begin from the left. The first man is wearing a hat and a blue jacket with a red tie. His nose is a little bit longer than normal. He is also carrying a suitcase. He is looking at the person who literally dress himself like a Santa Claus. This Santa Claus is standing in the middle. The last one looks like a deer. But it is standing on it's feet with a newspaper in it's hand and reading it.

In the middle we have santa wearing his typical clothes , black boots, red pants , coat and hat . he is also holding a red bag and it seems like those are the gifts he is going to share with all the children around the world. on the left we have a guy and he seems like he is surprised, he is like WTF is that a moose reading ? jjaja he is wearing brown shoes blue pants, blue jacket , a red tie and a brown hat but the hat has some red around it. he es holding a carpet and for his appearance he looks like an investigator.

Today I bought a post card to congratulate on Christmas day of my teacher. I was harring, so I quickly picked up that. When I came back to the home I discovered that was the another card. At the picture was a mean person of the new year - Santa. It was good😊. But Santa was between a man and a yellow goat with glasses reading a newspaper 😕. In the Santa's right hand was standing the fat wilful man dressed as a clown😣. In the own right hand he held a yellow suitcase, he was dressed a wight blue pants, a blue jacket with a red tie and a rad hat. In the right hand of the man was some sing 😕?
