- This is a Kocmoc review; today we're covering everything good and bad about the upcoming top 1 extreme demon hosted by Vernam GD. Is Kocmoc a good level? This video is sort of like reacting to Kocmoc by Cherry Team, one of the best and worst upcoming top 1 hardest geometry dash levels. Kocmoc was recently verified by Trick who made progress really quickly and Kocmoc is now the new top 1 gd demon. Reviewing Kocmoc gameplay and Kocmoc decoration of the new number 1 demon.

when I saw the layout for the level it kinda just looked like someone who didn't know what they were doing trying to recreate slaughterhouse, yeah it has great deco tho

Why I don't like KOCMOC:
1. Gameplay sucks
Yea, there's nothing to say. Just look at it, it's so atroucius to play!
2. It's a Slaughterhouse remake
I liked Slaughterhouse for so much time, but now I almost hate it. Every part decorated by IcEDCave sucks, + gameplay in every part (except for river's and DrCuber's part) sucks even more. The only thing that makes Slaughterhouse """"good"""" is the song choice. Witch House is just my favourite genre, and chosing a song that is made by one of the best artist of that genre (CRIM3S) just make Slaughterhouse quite more good.
3. Decoration isn't actually really good
I think the only parts of the level that actually look good are the predrop and the last part.
The first drop part it's basically Nine Circles effect and, even if it's one of my favourite trends, it's just done quite bad.
The second drop part is a bit messy and all those (lunar I guess?) rocks look out of place.
The third part of the drop is one of the worst parts in the level; everything there is a total mess with a bad-done black hole in the backround.
The last drop part is OBVIOUSLY the worst part in the level. It kinda is a mix of the first and the second part of the drop, featuring again those lunar rocks and those Slaughterhouse-like structures just recolored with purple. This part also have some of those Nine Circles effect again. The only good decoration of this part is the black hole in the background, that is actually done pretty well.
4. Song choice
Ok, I know. Before, I said that Witch House is my favorite music genre, but this song is one of the worst of this genre.
Hear me out: If I said Witch House is my favourite genre, it doesn't means that I *SHOULD* like every song of that genre.
This song is literally a ripetitive song with a russian girl that sings the same phrase FOR *ALL THE TIME.*
This song is just pretty bad and repetitive.

this is the problem with too many extremes these days, the deco is alright but the gp is shit
Yeah, for sure
But the bigger problem is that it is incredibly difficult to create good gameplay that is also the hardest level. Hard gameplay and fun gameplay rarely mix together. Obviously it happens sometimes, but you almost never see it.
Kocmoc is in my opinion is very mid. I dont like gameplay its bad, and almost same as slaughterhouse. But deco is very well made (exept that one part wich got replaced by Kiwi's part). But cherry team made from stupid impossible lvl, a basically decent lvl. (Btw your video is good)
Hot take: Kosmoc deco is super super overrated. Its no where near the best decoration in a GD level cuz its just flashes and very messy.

I've never understood what people mean when they say "Kocmoc has good and consistent theming". The first 30 seconds and the last cube is pretty good, but still has some issues, like being too empty, but the whole level in between looks terrible. Somehow there's a cartoon bunny with 3 teeth, TMNT 2012 New York looking art, some swiss cheese, lightning and pyramids. Then the wave after the Spongebob episode just looks like a Catharsis wannabe with terrible floating glow everywhere to make it look more original. Also the first wave is actually dead, like the song is cool and fast, but the level barely moves and doesn't even flash that much.
Also the transition into the last cube with the russian text means "breath". Being a latvian boy, to me it sounds like the word "dirs" in latvian, so pretty much i can't look at this level without bursting out into tears, since to me it feels like Kocmoc is telling you to start shitting your pants, which just makes Kocmoc all the more worse, but that's just me.

I personally dont like the deco very much, but thought the layout was cool.
The gameplay was quite nerfed and is really fun, i was playing it for multiple hours

The fact that the Cosmos has terrible gameplay is not its disadvantage. The Cosmos exists to be like a slaughterhouse. This is on purpose and is not a mistake.

I will remain vague because I comment to express myself (lmao logic), but I tried to defend this level a million times and I'm tired but
I think nobody understood what the cherry team wanted to do with this slaugerhouse remake and in what context it was created to say that the decoration is wasted and this story tires me a little....
so yes it does not look fun, but visually the level makes sense (and the level was not created to be fun at the base)
and I don't think that as some people say that a supernerf will solve anything, I want to say play shitty kocmoc and tell me if it will be fun
