- I took on a challenge to try to beat Subnautica: Below Zero with only a scanner.
FAQ:
Q: How do you break rocks so fast?
A: I use my mouse scroll wheel which I set to have the same action as left click in the game settings.
Q: How do you have highlights around objects?
A: It's a feature you can enable via Options, Accessibility, Highlight Interactable.

There should have been a separate counter for how many times the word oxygen was said by the PDA
I count 34 in the video but I know for a fact there's much more because of all the cuts
This reminds me of my first playthrough since I never found the Seatruck pieces, the rebreather, or the upgraded air tank.
I can see how you could miss the rebreather since it's only in a single databix, even though you're meant to see it while on your way to get Alan.... But how do you miss the sea truck? There are like at least a dozen pieces of it in twisty bridges.
@@NotMyActualName_ Well, this may surprise you but I am blind at times. I found all the modules but couldn't get the actual truck. Never went back to the twisty bridges after getting Alan.
In the first game it took me about an hour to find the pieces of the moon pool and around 2 for all the cyclops pieces.
@@NotMyActualName_ wait the rebreather is in a databox? I unlock it as soon as I get a scanner.
@@soapfaces you do In subnautica but not in below zero. You have to find the blueprint.

Just a thought: wouldn't a Lilypads Crevice path to Crystal Caverns be better, I know it's longer but there are plenty of oxygen plants on the way and you can replenish you O2 in Marguerit Seabase?
Below 200m and without a rebreather your oxygen drops really fast, so refilling isn't as good. But I didn't even try that route so you could be right.

If using Root Pustules like a bouncy castle doesn't count, this isn't just Low%, it's Low% Glitchless, an utterly insane category that only deities attempt.

I guess getting the scanner from a later part of the game would be "Lower%"
You sir are a BEAST. I love how he nonchalantly passes by the Levi and then uses his health pack and bladder fish so passively. Great job! Also I like your Death counter. Did you make a Oxygen counter as well?

@@cinnamoncookies I think 52 pickup Cure is an interesting twist. Though if the root globule bridge skip can be made consistant on 1 pickup, that's going to throw off the minimum.

My guy beats bz with only a scanner in like what, 5 and a half hours, while it takes me normally 16 hours with everything :(

since i watch salvner i would recommend low% as a category for fun you try to craft and use consumables as little as possible
Week later: Does this in hardcore
I doubt that would be possible given the difficulty to just get to the fabricator caves. You'd have to swim out now as well, which definitely isn't happening without some ridiculous prep and even then I'm skeptical.
This just proves how easy Below Zero actually is.

This looks and seams pc is easier than ps4 I mean you can move with the PDA open! And so much more, so lucky
Moving with the pda open is a function of whether or not the game pauses on pda open, no?
Maybe subnautica but you can craft only hatching enzymes and materials you need to build rocket

Why in the world are you not eating 2 bladder fish at once?
Because I can't make a rebreather the oxygen from eating the fish is less important than the extra 8 seconds you get during the fade out. Eating 1 at a time gives you more fade outs
