    I noticed that when Jen pulled the glass top back on the stove, the backsplash was covered. They should have put it on the side, like stuff never gets on the side when you cook.

    I think this would be perfect for a hunting base camp. That back rack would be good for hauling the carcass out. The bunkhouse would be good for storage like yeti coolers or other needed things.

    It's a great concept, but for me, the small bathroom is a deal-breaker. I love the bunks for those who have kids, the boondocking/off-road features, and the water filtration option.

  • @valerief1231

    I think I might actually be able to afford this one. My husband required firearm crutches to walk, and this would suit him, he’d be able to navigate the space. I agree with Jen, why short change the space with a love seat, put a three person couch instead.

    Having an outdoor kitchen just says "Tailgate Party" to me. I'd rather have that space taken up by solar and equipment racks, because if you're going anywhere for a couple weeks or even if you're living in something like this, it'll be better used space than an outdoor kitchen. Nobody wants to clean two kitchens. And if I'm going to grill, why on earth would I want that splattering all over the side of my rig? Tailgate kitchens are just a poor life choice. The only time to use an outside kitchen is in a teardrop.
    The fenders might be a great decision for long dirt-road trips and weed-ridden roadsides. The outside design is better than the inside. The raised dinette is a a bad decision. Poor kitchen layout. There were a lot of bad interior design decisions. If there were a way to convert the bunk room into an office or at least second murphy that might be more useful. Because let's face it, two kiddy bunks and an adult murphy with no privacy? Nobody in their right mind is going to use this for two weeks in that configuration with two or three kids in bunks with a murphy. The bathroom... not a prime pooping position at all. It's almost like they couldn't decide if their target client is a football game tailgater who is going to party like hell and invite four other friends to sleep off the drunk in the bunk beds or the couple with a small family going on one week vacation on BLM land. Did they even consult actual RVers _before_ starting the design, because this looks like they didn't. If you're not collaborating with RVers who've bought you're stuff, you're just staying in the same rut.
    _Fire_ that clueless interior designer.

    I know something needs to give. Put a small hand sanitizer in the bathroom, so I'm not grossed out by leaving the bathroom with contaminated hands! No sink, and a flat mirror near the kitchen sink.

    Absolutely the way travel trailers are headed and Sonic isn't the only one doing this.
    At first I questioned the propane but it makes sense, after all. Using a two-way fridge and propane stove means you're not drawing much battery power when completely off grid.
    I would suggest more information about the solar and electrical system - you didn't climb up to show off the roof and the solar panels and I was hoping to see that.
    Sounds like you could even use water that wasn't "potable, potable, potable" if you get that filtration system.

  • @philforder7810
    @philforder7810 ปีที่แล้ว

    First, Congrats! Now, you missed the gun/safe under the mattress on the bottom! The water filtration option is the size of Honda generator, and there's heaters in the underbelly!

    I liked this trailer. Small but if it were just 2 people, it would be fine. Well, with the large bunks you could take a couple of other people with you. I liked the murphy bed. The jack knife sofa would be okay if you had a person wanting to sleep in a bunk and another could just fold down the sofa instead of pulling down the murphy bed. Or if it were for my sister and I we could take out the bunks and use it for our craft supplies. Usually in her RV we put up 2 folding tables that run from the cab past the dinette. We block the sofa , but it's usally full of craft stuff too! We camp to craft!

    I like that the Murphy bed wall goes all the way up (and doesn't show the mattress as some do), the size of the shower and the battery/solar, etc. Not much else. I dislike the TV position, the dinette and the missing outside kitchen/dumb little back splash. I was hoping it WAS all electric!

  • @douglaserwinbrandt181
    @douglaserwinbrandt181 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    In response to Matt's dislike of the narrowness of the dinette. Looking at the floor plan, they could have made the slide out about 1 foot longer than it is currently. There seems to be lots of room at the end by the sofa. And if the bed hangs out longer than the sofa, big deal, the refrigerator door wouldn't open fully.

  • @Ellexis
    @Ellexis 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I love it! You get what you pay for and if you want this sort of thing then expect the price point. That said, there could definitely be some improvements; the bathroom could have a pedestal type sink or put a fold out sink or something in the shower area to make better use of space for the toilet 🚽for a prime 💩’ing position! They could even make an in-wall sink that wouldn’t take up any space. But yes, people! Please wash your hand after using the bathroom!
    [[Side Note: I love the fact y’all are independent and I pray it works out! It’s wonderful to expand your reviews beyond what you were able to do before.]]❤️

    I like the small sofa and I would have the bunks ripped out and use that area for storage and maybe a little office. The bathroom is a NO and it seems like the cabinets are really cheap looking. I love the solar.

  • @richardkoch8752
    @richardkoch8752 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi Crew! Awesome!!!.....almost :(
    I wish they had used a Victron 3000 Multiplus Inverter. 2000 Watts will be eaten up by the A.C. when it's on. No microwave at the same time as the A.C.
    No vented A.C.
    Murphy bed is a folding mattress....good luck finding a quality replacement mattress the 2nd night you sleep on the typical RV mattress.
    Leave the sink out of the bathrooms so the toilet can be placed at a good angle.
    No Azdell?
    LOVE
    That they are using the typical area of a outside kitchen. I have considered outside kitchen models just to rip out the amenities to have a dedicated solar/lithium batteries/inverter area.
    They have the right idea....just need refinements.
    Really enjoyed having Jen onboard for the vid!

    My solar panels and power walls for the house cost the same as the MSRP of this TT. Reasonable price and it sleeps 4-6.
    Likes; bike rack could be used for outdoor kitchen; Murphy bed; solar package
    Dislikes; dinette table not adjustable; I would have preferred an induction (Invisacook) cook top; convection microwave instead of oven = more storage

    I enjoyed watching you three doing the video. I’m not sure the MSRP is worth it. You did not say (or I missed it) how long the trailer would run on the Lithium battery(ies). The construction of the trailer was not explained. (I had never heard of it. I will research). As you know some Rockwoods/Flagstaffs are well made with reinforced aluminum azdell walls on the inside and out. Did you give the weight the bunks will hold? I bet this was the last review you did that day. PS sorry if I sound so critical. I did not mean to.

    I think the TV and storage below it is out of place. I would have added the space under the bottom bunk instead. I think it would be cool to have a pull down TV set up for smaller trailers and Class C’s almost like a hinge to have it flat on the roof and you pull it down.
    Last thing is I don’t agree with Jen’s dislike on the controls in the bathroom. Better behind the door than for everyone in the trailer to mess with the person in the bathroom.

    It's hard for me to pick dislikes, because bunks are useless for me, so this wasn't designed with my needs in mind. Who knows what would be different on a model designed for 1-2 people (I'm heading to their website to find out as soon as I post this comment 😎 ). That said, I will always support more designers pushing for electric options, so that power is out of the equation (or less of an issue) for off grid time.

    We just bought our 2021 Palomino Revolve with 400 watts of solar on the roof, 300 watt portable solar mat. Four lithium batteries. Murphy bed, bunk beds, no slides and a fireplace... 21' 11"... And what we paid... $25000.00. Don't tell me this unit for $50,000.00 is a great deal. Rv companies you work for want too much money for crap that falls apart. Ridiculous!

  • @cariskel4169
    @cariskel4169 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    This travel trailer looks nice outside. Like the features for bike racks too. Really dislike the Murphy bed, bunks and dining area. They look like they'd be fine, but those mattresses on the bunks are horrid to sleep on, plus it's claustrophobic trying to sleep in the tiny space of the bottom bunk. If you try to replace the mattress, that takes precious inches from the already tiny space between the bunks. Bathroom is poorly designed and too tight, and the price is a more than I'd spend on that little trailer. Thanks for another great review!

      Fully agree! The solar/Li/inverter only added $5K to the RV....depending on quality of glass. Probably $100.00 panels. At $50K MSRP I would only offer $32.5K on it.

    Matt, I think that Venture "X" Series will have to go down in price to compete with Keystone with their "Solar Flex" series. They may not have the water filtration system but they offer different Factory Solar options and I believe not close to price for their travel trailers...Check with your buddy Josh.

      Do Sonics compete with one of its Thor sister brands like Keystone?

    A "Tesla of Travel Trailers" should have a 12v compressor fridge, not a gas/electric.
