I really like the way you are including more of Brandon's sharing of history and his knowledge of models and their particular unique features. Shine on Brandon!
I would call that more of a “guitar of a lifetime” not guitar of the day. A stunner and as much as I’d love to have it, I am neither financially secure enough nor am I worthy of it. Definitely belongs in the hands of someone with more skills than I. Great job Brandon - you made her sing. And, congrats on your single!!! I’ll definitely check it out.
Considering a Lawyer in Ohio will buy it and keep it in their show room in a box and never play it, you would probably be a great owner. The wealthy are not worthier than a musician that can barely making ends meet.
@@angelg8445 good point. I sure hope there’s a player out there who can afford it. I’d hate for it to just sit. It sounds so lovely. Even through my phone.
Anytime we are honored by Professor Spec Check is fantastic. Hearing this Martin with James Taylor’s magic being picked off the strings is beyond fantastic! Thank you Brandon.
That was an incredible demo on an incredible sounding guitar. It's nice to hear a recognizable tune again and the drop d medley was especially nice. I love Lemmo, but sometimes I feel like it's the same thing being played over and over - on a loop 😉. So have Brandon on was a refreshing change. Maybe consider him for all Flat Top Fridays?
Long time subscriber and never commented on a guitar before but it must be said this Martin has amazing tone, what a wonderful old guitar. I am impressed.
Whoa!! Flattop Friday move over Michael and give that man the pick!! What a beautiful job on a great guitar!! Add Brandon to the list of Norms employees that just amaze me!! 🔥
Well he didn't explain it that well as 28 is not "code" for spruce/rosewood. Martin numbers after the model letter designate the appointments on a particular style of guitar. The higher the number the more "bling" on it. All 21 models or above would have spruce/rosewood as standard so it's the appointments, binding, inlay etc that the numbers represent.
Gorgeous D-28 and what a masterful demo of a classic guitar with an equally classic song. But the awesome bonus was to hear "Wasted Time"...thank you, Brandon.
The first time I heard this song, it brought tears to my eyes because of what the words were saying about what had happened. Brandon did a wonderful job with the James Taylor tune.
When Lemmo starts going on tour and getting big, I vote Brandon be his successor for GOTD. Very knowledgeable and a great guitar player. Does anyone 2nd this vote??
I also think Brandon should do more acoustic stuff. His knowledge and game is an asset, and the flattop friday is ideal for this. friday for brandon ! many more viewers in the long term. it polarizes the "guitar of the day" even more. The D28 is a dream. Sometimes I dream I find one in the attic - long forgotten

I can honestly say that I’ve never been inspired to pick up an acoustic guitar until now. This guitar really speaks a language I’ve never heard before, but can fully understand. Well done video.
@@teddyboy9116 older woman buys young good looking kid very expensive presents, because he plays guitar on TH-cam and Norm is okay with it? Does he give her a discount? The whole thing creeps me out.
Aah.... Love it, but just a dream guitar for me. Hope I can play one of these before I cash in my chips! As always, great job on spec check, and beautiful demo, Brandon!
Mark Agnesi with hair. Really liking this guy for your videos...just saying...playing is super and he's great in front of the camera. Love your store Norm. Live it up!
Very nicely played and intonation Jen many Thanks to you too keep me tuned in and I enjoy listening to James Taylor it tugs at me heart strings for many reasons
Wow!! Great stuff. Lovely guitar too. My first decent acoustic, an Alvarez 5022, had herringbone running around it. I'm a bit of a sucker for that look. Sweet!

One of the nicest guitars that I have ever heard.
Absolutely SPECTACULAR D-28! The sound is incomparable. Great playing, Brandon.
I don’t like a lot of guitars in GOTD. This guitar was just great.

Very nicely done Brandon. We get spec check and beautiful guitar playing as well. Also thanks to Jen ! Stellar camera work as always!

Brandon belts this one out of the park.

Soriano - under rated hero of Norm's.
I *LOVE* everything about/in this video!!!!! Holy grail guitar for sure and, Brandon killed it again!!!!
As soon as "Wasted Time" was mentioned, I cut over to Spotify - great power pop song with special credit for the vocals. Well done, Brandon !
Nicely done, Mr. Soriano. A beautiful instrument.
This was NOT Wasted Time... Great job and congrats, Brandon!

Brandon should always play the acoustic guitars on Guitar of the Day.
second that!

Cool, love Those who wait by Tommy Emmanuel. Great sounding Martin and great playing.
Love that Tommy Emmanuel song! Coincidently, I've listened to it every morning this week.
The first time I heard this song, it brought tears to my eyes because of what the words were saying about what had happened. Brandon did a wonderful job with the James Taylor tune.

Superb playing by Brandon - virtuosity and excellent taste.
The guitar is also a treasure.
When Lemmo starts going on tour and getting big, I vote Brandon be his successor for GOTD. Very knowledgeable and a great guitar player. Does anyone 2nd this vote??

This was really frikin amazing and the fretting hand is to die for
Such a beautiful beautiful set from a really fine gentleman
Encore!!
You don't get to hear an instrument like this every day, thank you very much.
Absolutely loving Brandon's history lessons, he's an encyclopedia of guitar! That guitar is IT!

The sweet lady who bought those guitars for Michael should buy this one for this kid. He’s a good dude. Do it sister!
Guitar is easily over 50 thousand dollars, lol id keep dreamin
What!!!!? Why should she??
Do they know if this woman can actually afford these expensive gifts, before taking them from her? The whole thing is very peculiar.

As much as I love Mike's "Guitar of the Day" episodes, I think Brandon should be the custodian of "Flat top Friday".👍
I heard the track, dig it.

Thoroughly enjoyed your playing man
Nice job, Brandon.
Met Brandon a couple weeks ago at norms him and the young man that was boxing up guitars were super nice and professional ….👍🏼
Love the guitar. But, more importantly, this kid is a talented player!
I think I'd leave this tuned permanently in double drop d and play Neil Young songs, sounds magnificent and really well played 👍👏
