He's from the enclave.
No, he's from the Enclave.
I assume the enclave is where he's from.
@@corriban
Wrong.
The Enclave is actually where he's from.
All of you are wrong he's definitely from the Enclave.
Everyone is so dumb, he's obviously from the Enclave!
Everyone knows who Lee "I steal dads" Moldaver is.
The zoom in on the cat during the dog and radroach scene….😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
Homie having PTSD flashbacks
Kitty was on full alert mode😂
Was the best lol
Cat: What is that dog eating there?
Scarred for life
Wilzig is actually an Enclave Scientist. The facilty he fled is an Enclave Cover facilty somewhere in California.
He knows about Lucy´s Vault due to the Enclave connection with Vault-Tec and "Project Safehouse" wich is mentioned in the games.
Lore wise though the Enclave in California were defeated and fled to D.C after the Destruction of the Oil Rig on Fallout 2 and the Battle at Navarro c.2246 (BOS and NCR vs the Enclave), and only a few remnants stayed behind so its interesting to see such a huge Enclave facility still active in California at the time of the show.
As for the dogs they appear to be using Enclave "mind control" technology. the same ones we see on Deathclaws in Fallout 2 and Fallout 3.
Not sure if you noticed it but theres also a super mutant hand shown in the facility clip so we might get more information on it later on.
On a side note: Teh actor that portrays Wilzig is actually Michael Emerson and some years back he was in a very good show called Person of Interest, in wich he played a "scientist" that also limped and had a belgian sherpard with him, just like in this Show, wich was a nod intentionally made by Jonathan Nolan, who also directed that show.
I mean, 50 years is a lot of time to rebuild.
@@marauderdz a reduced chapter i agree but that is a huge facility we see.
It is possible that for some reason not all Enclave facilities obeyed the Evacuation order.
We simply need more information to see what actually happened.
Im hoping S2 will dive in a bit on this
@@Levi_o_Lusitano I guess I don't think it's hard to believe they can build a major complex over that span of time, given that virtually the entire US highway system was built in 40 years.
too many vaults for him to know about Lucy. it's most likely he had inside info from Moldaver, who SPOILER SPOILERS SPOILERS
knew Lucy's mother.
I believe that Enclave base Wilzig ran from is in New York (Brooklyn Army), or maybe it was just shot there. Don't know. I believe it is supposed to be there. As for the rest, yes, Enclave is connected to Vault Tec + Wilzig himself has some "additional connections" it would seem.
Fallout 1 was actually made by Interplay and Fallout 2 by a subdivision called Black Isle. When Interplay closed up Black Isle a big chunk of the developers founded a new studio, Obsidian.
Tim Cain is cool, he has his YT channel and I love how chill and smart he is.
The cat zoom in killed me😂😂😂
One of my favorite memes I've seen for Maximus is that he has the Idiot Savant perk. He seems to be well intentioned, but he screws up damn near everything.
I think he just started out low on Charisma and XP. By the end, he showed himself to be capable.
I love how he literally critically missed and dropped his gun like in fallout 1 and 2. They did a great job making him a low intel, low luck character.
@@starkman78When was he ever capable outside of shooting that one fiend?
@@mrcroob8563 he got a great shot that took down the Yao Guai. He fought several opponents to take back the power armor (even though it was a close call). And he did more than just shoot the fiends. He drew someone else’s weapon, aimed steady as a rock, and took out TWO armed combatants (barely even flinching when he took a hit himself). He didn’t drop out of the sky with those abilities. He’s in the BOS and promoted to Squire which means he’s been trained. So, not only is he not an idiot, he’s not even a savant.
@@starkman78 The yao gui wasnt moving or posing any threat to him id be amazed if he missed. The 10mm is likely the most common sidearm in the wasteland he's absolutely handled one in the bos. He did okay vs the armor thieves after getting his shit rocked and they weren't even trying to kill him. I would hope he has faster reflexes than a diseased druggie cannibal. He was a shite squire compared to Thaddeus. Also nothing you said counters the idiot part, his decisions are consistently terrible.
At first I wondered how Lucy would know what a BoS Knight is…then I realized she was talking about a medieval knight 🤣
"they wouldn't show a deathclaw this soon".....
fallout 4 says hi 😂😂😂
They mean the show for new comers 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
How did these two find each other? These are true relationship goals, being able to share gaming, shows, and lore with a partner.
We appreciate that!
In FO1, there are no iguanas. But there is iguana on a stick…
Heh, don't forget that "Iguana on a stick" has long been a mystery, as there are no surviving Iguanas.
Gotta love mystery meat
Not a mystery if you've played Fallout 1.
You got a very patient cat. If I allowed myself to behave like you do with mine, my hand would missing at least two fingers.
Fantastic reaction, looking forward to see the rest.
Surprisingly low amount of reaction guys (reactioneries, reactioneers) has played the Fallout games. It's not necessary, but I'm so delighted to see how Katie enjoys the series being an actual fan. Priceless!
Same. So many reactors either haven’t played it or only played 3 or 4 but never New Vegas.
I think that's wild. I (Travis) just assumed everyone has played it since everyone I know has played it.
He's from the enclave they said it in ep 1 when brotherhood was describing the target
Maximus definitely has the Idiot Savant perk
You guys are fun! One doesnt know fallout but enjoying it, and one is a fallout nerd. Perfect combo for a watch party! Love the reactions you guys had, I was just like her, geeking at everything I saw. Glad he enjoys it! Enjoyed watching it AGAIN with you guys lol
Hell yes! So happy you found us!
25:13 *_B A R V_*
13:31 He walks exactly like the "loser NPC" from Fallout 1 and 2, these slow hunchbacks you meet in towns and they take ages to move during combat xD
The Ghoul's using V.A.T.S and he ain't even got a Pipboy! Lol, oh in case anyone is curious his 'handcannon' is a modified MTs255 shotgun revolver using solid slugs.
Oh wow, thanks for that interesting fun fact!
Damn alot ppl think maximus put the razor blade in the shoes and I seem to be the only one who believe he wouldnt do it 😂 I can relate to maximus
Nope, you’re not alone. I never considered that Maximus would do that. He’s just not that particular type of calculated, and Dane seems to be a true friend to him.
I think that's down to both Aaron Moten's performance and the writing. For now, as of these early episodes, I think it's left ambiguous enough that people can guess whether or not he was telling the truth. He kind of stammers his way through the denial, which could be seen as either disingenuous or he's just scared/intimidated, and his admitting to at least wanting it to happen, also probably doesn't help with believability.
Was i the only one that suspected Dane from the start?
@@pantlessreactions maybe I honestly thought someone else did it not herself
@@pantlessreactions I didn’t suspect Dane but I didn’t suspect Maximus either. And once Thaddeus showed up, I crossed him off the list. I wasn’t sure it was even going to come up again.
Michael Emerson, who played Ben Linus from Lost, went on to star in Person of Interest almost immediately after. That is a good show too and also produced by Jonathan Nolan. His character in this is very important, and I feel like Nolan, called on him because of their previous work relationship.
The ever-obstructing dog companion & The side quest!
Everything in the fallout universe is morally grey, and so is this entire show and I love it
7:01 the cat hears what in its cat brain probably thinks is the sounds of a cat being killed by a dog and is at a loss for meows.
Little Kitty had a Nam flashback 😂
K-"Put your butthole away"
T-"hehehe Let him be free"
LOL I cant.
The Scientist is from the Enclave, who were the badguys in Fallout 3, but also Fallout 1 and 2. There is references to them in New Vegas and in 4. They are basically the remnants of the fascist government in pre-war America in this universe.
The tone and humor DEFINITELY were set in the Fallout and Fallout 2. Like the guy with the water filter, that hunched over weird walk was a direct reference to a character in the original Fallout.
"Bionic dog. Eat SHIT!" I need that on a T-shirt, please.
Sorry to be a month late on this. Just been watching a lot of reactions and you guys are new to me so you just popped up. But I'm very glad you did because you guys are super enjoyable to watch. Didn't get to the point of seeing what else you guys have done (if anything) but after I'm done binging these I'll have to find out.
Don't feel too bad. I'm just finding them myself, MANY months later. And ❤❤❤❤❤ their reaction. The perfect blend "Familiar but not a fan" and "Super fan". The chemistry is 😘 *chef's kiss*
“BIONIC DOG EAT SHIT”😂😂😂
I would guess lucy has high luck. The ghoul has the bloody mess perk and maximus is rocking that idiot savante perk
Fallout Shelter has all three characters' SPECIAL stats, and I think Lucy has a Luck of 7.
7:02 I laughed so hard
He had a Vietnam Flashback I think lol
Ella Purnell (Lucy) is 5'5", the actor playing her brother Norm is 4'11".
What a tinny buddy
Travis!!! Been too long. Glad to see you doing well. 💪🏼
YOU SEXY BITCH! I was literally talking about you like a week ago! I miss your face!
you cannot kill the dog. the dog is the main character of the franchise.
Don't think Vault-Tec had reserved a nice cozy vault for themselves? One vault, to rule them all!
Great reaction, enjoyed it.
Thank you so much! Yes this shows vibe just felt so right. We had a blast. So happy you're enjoying it.
Love your cat!
we are told that the scientist has fled from the enclave. (as undobtedly has been said multiple times in the comments already)
why are y'all hating on Maximus? I don't believe he did put that razor in his friends boot! and Titus was a bad knight, unworthy. Maximus is making the Brotherhood great again!
Dawg its such a turn on how much your girl knows about fall out. Lucky man.
CX-404 is female and a Badass.
As others said, Wilzig was from the Enclave. It's mentioned both by the Brotherhood of Steel by way of Michael Cristofer's character (Elder Cleric Quintus, as listed in the credits) near the end of episode 1, and also by Mykelti Williamson's character Honcho after they dig up Cooper/The Ghoul, each having some sort of drawing of Wilzig and the dog.
Institute would be interesting, but since that was far on the north east coast, and their status is dependent on the player's choice, I'm not sure if we'll see them, or anyone from there or not. But hey, pretty advanced tech, and they do have... assets, let's just say, for those who haven't played it, in deep cover. Maybe in the future? You never know. Depends on what wackiness the writers have in store for us.
Actors are usually a lot smaller than you think, also love the casting of Michael Rapaport as a douche bag, perfect casting. the enclave is a basically the government that has continued vault techs research with lots of vault tech scientists, that's where our now headless man is from, it's a really cool faction but very routed in bad stuff. they're generally the main antagonist in the games and rivals to brotherhood of steel because they have so much pre war tech and the brotherhood loves themselves some pre-war tech.
Man I read that the average size on hollywood it's 6 ft for male actors most of the leads are even taller then 6 ft with some exceptions like Tom Cruise, George Clooney and other few.
Was sounding like The Swedish Chef from the Muppet Show, when saying Vertibird, intentional?
They said in 1x01 that the Doctor had stolen something snd escaped The Enclave.😊
Isn’t the Ma June character based on a character on the Carol Burnett Show?
Scientist was Enclave.
if you love nuka cola you'd love the fallout cookbook I regularly make nuka and quantum and cherry and quartz lol. it's amazing.
I'll have to buy that for Katie! Shhh don't tell her lol
Not important, but I was compelled to look it up - according to imdb, Lucy (Ella Purnell) is 5'5"
Black Isle Studios made Fallout 1 - 2, not Obsidian.
Not much difference.
You two are too cool
didn't you play Hagrid in the Harry Potter movies?
You're a wizard, Harry
Back for more
for a reaction channel called burned bears im surprised it hast reacted to THE BEAR lol
That show is so intense I don't know if it would be a good reaction show. I (Travis) watched both season's and it's so good I feel like our dumb jokes would ruin it. Lmao
If you want to see that actor being super creepy watch the tv series “Evil”. He was phenominal as a creep in that one.
He was a particularly sick and brutal predator on SVU once. I’ve never gotten over it. 😖
He was also Ben Linus in Lost, often shows up at/near the top lists for tv bad guys.
"She steals dads!" - funniest line in the series.
Enclave!
You. Should see the Doctor - Scientist in he series Evil..where he is the premier evil of the show..great series.. don't know why no one is reacting to this series going into fourth season soon. Yes it is religious based but so is The Exorcist or any other demon based movie or show out there
🫶🏻👍🤣
14:56 What? Because he has started leaving the media cathedral cult and is starting to see reason after so many years of being blinded?
I really like your guys' stuff, but if you guys are pRegressive I'll have to unsub.
Hey, calm your tiddies. Opinions are like assholes. They can all get plowed.
Kate looks like Karen Allen when she was in Raiders. Interplay made the first 2 and tactics
A man see's a snail on his doorstep, he picks it up and throws it away. 3 weeks later, he hears a knock on the door. He opens the door, the snail go's "WHAT!?"
plz!! play Fallout 1 its quirky and smaller game it only take 16 hrs to do 100% completely
falout 2 is more quirk specialy kids and luck stats with shreding your enemy and 83 and half our funn !!!!!
We will for sure do that
Michael Rapaport is a bad person on tv and in real life
22:04. He ate a handful of tomatoes. Should help him recover lost HP.
I like the framed picture of our lord and savior, Ewan McGregor on the wall lmao.
YESSSSS. He's our only hope.
Of course the turret says "please remain calm" - otherwise it has no chance hitting something (they are notoriously bad at aiming in the games)
Yall gotta quit playing on easy
@@ganjahiwalker2641That specific turret is one the player can build in their settlement. They can't hit an NPC for crap, Wilzig was an NPC, therefore it couldn't hit him.
@@jakeand9020 makes sense, I never built settlements
@@ganjahiwalker2641 imagine speaking up while basically never playing the game lmao...
@@kronostvx oops I played the other games first so fallout 4 was a bit of a let down.
You two have the perfect sense of humor for this show. I already thought the series was a blast but watching you guys having fun with it makes it even better.
Of course the dog is oke. That's our National dog breed the Belgian Malinois, the prefered dog breed of Special Forces all over the world. They keep going like the Energizer Bunny 😁
The now headless guy is from Enclave. This was already said in episode 1 when handing out the wanted posters to the knights.
Knight Titus: You earn this suit through acts of bravery!
Me: Oh? How'd you earn yours?
The Ghoul may have only saved the dog to find his target, but watch his hands in that scene. He's petting her fur, soothing her, actually being gentle. His heart may be a withered, shriveled ball of blackened corruption, but there's still a tiny sliver of the man he was in there.
I said this in another reaction, but since you're pointing out The Ghoul/Cooper's behavior around the dog, also watch for him smiling once the dog recovers and stands. He's smiling. Now, that could just be the take used, or that could be intentional, and showing an unguarded moment from Cooper.
He may be a "supreme badass" (per the guy at the end of episode 1), and Marine (per talk with his daughter), but he's also the guy whose first instinct when the bombs dropped was to shield his daughter, and put her on the horse first, riding off with her even though the explosion was way bigger than his thumb. That was him at the presumed end of the world, and what could have been his last moments. Which I view as probably the most telling about who he is, however deep down or not that is by now.
Fully agree. He for sure still has a heart.
Knight Titus: By bravely running away.
I imagine that the Ghoul's handgun has the legendary prefix Explosive.
I figured the Ghoul has the "Bloody Mess' perk
Anybody can buy a peacock. We had two until a hawk showed up.
OH NOOOOO. RIPeacock
you guys are such an incredible couple, such chemistry i absolutely love it, new fan here.
THANK YOU! That means a lot! YAY new fan! Haha
@@burnbearscomedy if you guys haven't seen it. React to arcane. Such an absolutely incredible show!! I just finished all your fallout videos. Binge watched em.
He's from the Enclave indeed, but you have a nice picture of Jesus on your wall so I know you're good peoples.
Obi-Wan the true Savior
Those oversized golf bags are meant to symbolize your in-game character's carrying capacity.
Everyone keeps saying that, but remember that they have to carry that giant rifle with them, so the bag can't really be that much smaller.
and how you make you companions carry your shit lol
@@p-forest When Veronica said, "You're making me carry the heavy stuff, aren't you?" I just about died laughing.
They could go all the way with that one. Bag too heavy to carry. Take out a box of Cram. Now light as a feather.
Just for self acknowledgement of just how silly the over-encumbrance system is. I'd love to see it for sure.
pip boys arent always from the vaults, enclave have their own pipboys too that they make
Brotherhood of Steel is actually a fractured faction. The nazi like side of the faction I personally hate, but the chapter that's about helping the wasteland I liked. The scientist with the dog is an escapee from the current Enclave faction, which is likely a rebuilt version considering they have been obliterated throughout the game stories. Appreciate your reactions, had some good laughs!
You guys are HILARIOUS! Love your reactions to this show. Best I've seen and I've seen quite a few now. How did you not yell out "Dogmeat" when you saw the grown dog? 🙂 Also, that huge-ass duffle bag represents how we all carry tons of overweight gear in-game. Right? 🤣
Looking forward to the rest of the episodes you react to! Great job! Why aren't you wearing vault outfits? 😆🤘
Hahaha Thank you so much! Katie definitely needs to get a Vault Dweller outfit. I (Travis) Don't think they make a 4x vault suit lmao. Glad you're enjoying the reacts. More coming very soon!

I looked up pictures of the actress because I thought they were making her eyes look bigger. beautiful
Nahh that's here real eyes, she should have played Alita Battle angel.
@@burnbearscomedySide note. Ya’ll should make a reaction of that movie. It’s one of the best things in my life

Absolutely loved the Mickey Mouse impression at 31:57
I’m surprised you guys don’t remember at the beginning Brotherhood saying “ he escaped from the enclave”
VATS plus Bloody Mess perk. This show is so good!
He also eats a bunch of tomatoes to recover health in the middle of a fight.
@@swissarmyknight4306 oh good catch!
21:26 but he doesn't have a pip boy. VAT comes from that.
In the original FOs, the dog can easily die..in fact, by the end if the gsme, you need to be very lucky and/or cheesy to get the animal through certain places.
Im really dissapointed they killed the dr within this episode. The actor is great, and his tie in with The Enclave could have been used to great effect later on. Yeah, the head got a lot of play (lol), but still. RIP
It would have been a hard task to portray Rapaport as anything but how he was portrayed. He’s a lucky guy in the fact that he always gets to play that general character. I feel confident in saying that he doesn’t even really act, that’s just how he is. Must be nice to get paid fat to be toxic AF and never really have to get into character.
Of course the power armor had to crashland near a public toilet, LOL.
Man, what is it with Maximus and latrines?
Fight with what you know, I guess lmao
The real reason Titus had them dropped off there was because he obviously read the wiki on how to play the mission
its the beryllium agitator
Subbed
You guys are so fun to watch. And Katie’s so quick on the take and logic with the show, like immedietely noting the vats scene and that dogmeat can’t just be killed off like that. It’s nice to see fan reactions to this show.
Thank you so much!
Enclave is still exists in this world.
Obsidian made the New Vegas, 1 and 2 was a different developer.
Sort of, different developer (Interplay/Black Isle) same people.
14:57 ok you guys are awesome that got me to subscribe right there 😂 couldn’t agree more
Dont feel like writing a original message to you, ill just repost my comment.
"Oh man.... I really liked you guys, i just subbed to your channel and really wanted to watch this with you, but the thing about "Rappaport recent activities" killed it. If you wanted to say Rappaport was a douchebag his entire social media history I could understand and probably would agree. But to preference "recently" because he supports Israel is just a bit much for me. All the shit hes been saying for years didn't bother you, but he comes out and defends his community after a terrorist attack, that...thats too far for you. There is a strange mind virus going around that somehow makes people like you support Islamic terrorists or cheering on Osama Bin Laden . I don't get it and never will. PEACE & UNSUBSCRIBED.
Ps. If you want to grow your channel, leave your political views at the door. Especially on TH-cam."
Hell yes! Thank you!
Just found this channel and subscribed. You two are awesome! Love the sincerity and genuine nature of your reactions!
Also, Fallout 3 is my all time favorite game. The reason I love Fallout so much.
Others already pointed out the Enclave, which was in fact mentioned in the first episode as the scientist's point of origin.
But re: Institute, it is based entirely in Massachusetts, under the Fallout equivalent of MIT. I doubt they would see any use or reason to establish a whole base on the West Coast less than a decade after FO4. That is assuming they're still around, since that is player-choice dependent.
The enclave had a real hard-on for spying on people, which included vault tech and all their vaults and that’s how the scientist knows so much about vault 33 and the chick.
surprised you didnt geek out over the science version of the ripper military combat chainsaw 😊
I can't believe you guys are actually bears. This is the most incredible thing I've ever seen.
