Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat have been such a massive part of my life since the beginning. I've been in every beta leading up to launch and I can honestly say this SF6 game is not only revolutionizing Street Fighter as a franchise but fighting games as a whole. Capcom is raising the bar SO hard with this game. It's going to be incredible! Kimberly is one of my favorite new characters!
I’m only paying casual attention but if you been hitting every beta, I heard they got a more accessible button prompt version now. So I don’t need to know quarter half circle blah blah blah combos. That true? I really struggle with understanding those fundamental combos and executing them. I’m the type who got stuck in a MK tutorial. If they got a dumb down version for handling combos, I’m interested in giving SF another go.
@@GoblinSlayerZach You are right! There is a control scheme called "Modern" that simplifies all inputs, including specials to one button type inputs. The trade off is you do 20% less damage and you don't have access to the character's full kit... but it's a very solid way to play if you're looking to have some fun without labbing and learning all the combos and stuff that the "classic" control scheme offers. It's a great way to bridge that gap between casual playstyle and the deeper combo oriented style. Modern is so solid that some pros have already been messing with it so you should have no problem having fun with that!

The one who looks like Harley Quinn is Juri. She's one of my favorite SF characters. A lot of characters have very drastic design changes in this game which makes them a bit unrecognizable, so maybe you guys didn't recognize her because of that.
I played a lot of Juri in SF4, kinda feel like the cinematic on her finisher is just kinda...worse.

@@tehrickles1447 Same as you I played her a lot in the arcade days in USF4 and she's my main from there till now. She's actually what got me into Street Fighter in general. I think her 2 variations of her lvl 3 looks great and better than her debut one. I think that's the general consensus anyway, you're free to disagree.

I wasn't there for Street Fighter's arcade days, but damn did I have fun on them on the SNES and PS1. How much the series has changed over the years really strikes you in memory lane.

Juri had her debut in SF 4 and is by FAR and away, not even close, the most popular new character to come out of that game. The Dark Horse of this game appears to be of all characters, Marisa; apparently muscle mommies are definitely on the popular spectrum. All of the new characters have been really well received and a lot fans are also happy that the timeline is advancing.
They didn't show Ed, AKI, Rashid, and Akuma in action because we actually weren't supposed to know about them yet. Before the game released there was a giant leak of the entire roster plus those four. Capcom figured there was no putting the cat back in the bag so they "announced" them way ahead of schedule

I like that you guys are novelist, when it comes to entertainment. Sure, you guys know some things, way before you guys started a channel on TH-cam, that's comforting and very nice to know, but when it comes to obvious and or settle references, you guys don't recognize them at all and so, it's kind of groaning to see, there are some references, that you guys haven't noticed and I admit that you nor anyone will get, but in the meanwhile, it's still groaning to see, expressly, when does references, that you guys should already know, but in conclusion, it is what it is and you guys are novelist and it's completely fine, being greenhorn to some things. It makes me wonder, how did you to grow up, when it comes to entertainment at the time.

I really want to see them get one of the games they do a draft for and face each other using those characters. Like once that character loses you have to switch to another and the previous character can't be selected anymore. It would be really fun to watch since they would just be having fun which is the whole point of games. I know I'd watch it

Gotta say the more I hear about JP the more I absolitely love his entire schtick. Dude literally theorized to have M. Bison's soul trapped with his own more refined psycho energy doing his monopoly empire, thus making himself far more threatening by comparison via both keeping Bison from just body jumping his soul to one of his several planned hosts after death, and also using him somewhat like a stand while he becomes a zoning nightmare fighting game character. He also looks super cool and super buff for an old guy yet he just casually stands back and yeets psycho energy at people.
You make a good case for him. Now we are more interested 😯

A lot of the returning characters like Ryu, Ken, Chun-Li, ect, all look older because SFVI takes place the furthest in the timeline of Street Fighter that any of the games have been. I realize that sounds obvious, but the SF timeline is kind of all over the place (IE: 5 is a prequel to 3, which is also the game closest to 6). There's a fairly significant time jump so the devs really put a lot of focus on making a new generation of characters (Kimberly is meant to be a disciple of the character Guy, and Lily is a similar case with T. Hawk for example) while also keeping the classics (and Juri who is a massive fan favorite) there while also showing their age and experience through their designs and gameplay.
It's a game I'm hugely excited for!

Hey guys! I've been watching your videos for a while and finally realized I hadn't subbed yet. I saw that you've reacted to some Bricky videos in the past. I would highly recommend his videos on Command and Conquer 3 and Red Alert 3 sometime. Some of my favorite rts games and he does a great job of breaking down why they're so much fun. fun facts: guile and ken are actually related. they are brothers-in-law since their wives are sisters.
kimberly is the self professed student of street fighter and final fight character, Guy.
juri was the first korean character to be introduced in the series, way back in SF4, and because of her fighting style, taekwando, she is considered chun-li's main rival
despite what "wreck it ralph" would tell you, zangief is not a villain. he is just a russian wrestler who loves his country. also, it seems like they actually incorporated a lot more real life nods to pro wrestling. example: his super is a very much a nod to legendary wrestler the undertaker. one of his finishers was a powerbomb called "the last ride".
lily is the daughter of street fighter character, T.hawk, who is native american.
I would love if you guys did the same for Street Fighter 5 too, these trailers are super cool too.

Street fighter 5 is bad
SFV is great! It just took a while to get good,which was around season 3/arcade edition. It just sucks that poeple had to wait for it to be good instead of at launch. So yes, absolutely recommend SFV Championship Edition. Absolutely a good game.(anyone just blindly hating probably left early on understandably and don't know what their missing out on.)

Highly realistic style? I dunno about that, still looks cartoony and true to SF
you saw Juri in SF4 but her style was more traditional back then, shes meant to be a sort of dark reflection of chun li, both female fighters from east asia, that use their legs as their main weapons and originally started fighting to avenge their fathers (also some disign similaritys like the spiked armbands and the hairstyle being vaguely similar), Chun li eventually found piece after the defeat of Bison, Juri just became more unhinged letting her sadistic nature define who she is, Juri dosnt fight to win or to beat anyone she fights to see people defeated.
idk if you recognized Dee Jay, he was added in one of the later itterations of Street Fighter 2 (he had maximum written on his pants otherwhise he was kinda boring looking) they leaned into his job as a Brazilian DJ here making him look a lot more unike.

though some of them are inspired/related to older street fighter characters, Luke served in the army under Guile, Jamie is related to Jun and Jang from SF3, Lily is related to T-Hawk from SF2, Kimberly has similaretys too both Guy from Street fighter Alpha and Ibuki from Street fighter 3, Manon has some similaritys with Able from SF4 (might be trained by him seeing that this game is a long time in the future from his last appearence). And JP uses the same powers as Bison so he might have gotten the powers from the same source as Bison.
as for the DlC Charakters
A.K.I. is new, but Capcom wanted to make a charakter like her for a very long time, the idea of an Assasin fighter was tried several times but never quite got to see the light of Day but now it finally does.
Rashid is from SF5 not much seems to have changed .
Ed is also from SF5 but hes changed a lot since hes no longer afiliated with Bison.
Akuma has continued on the path he was going in SF3 and 5 ( the last games in the timeline before 6) even more Demonic and noticably aged.
Can't wait for June! The 2nd.
as an old school Arcade fighting player.. And seeing games like 3rd strike.. sf4 and more come out over the years... SF6 has the most promise of any Fighting Game to date... This game is what we fighting game players have been waiting for since 3rd strike..

Bison is not gonna be in this game, cause he’s dead permanently. He died when Ryu defeated him in SF5. JP is gonna be the new villain for this game. He has the exact same powers that Bison had, and Ed here also has the same powers too. Some say Ed is gonna become the new Bison in this sequel.
If you know about Bison’s backstory is that he has psycho powers, but his powers deteriorated his body so he goes and searches for new bodies to obtain. In the Alpha 3 his body was destroyed, but in SF2 he gave him a new body and that became his new body throughout the series.

IMO allt he redesigns are MAJOR upgrades, of course the classics were the OG and respected in their time, but moving forward, there are almost no flaws
Juri is the mileena of the street fighter franchise or the harley quinn she started out as a villain but moved on to be an anti hero her goal was to kill m bison who murdered her family and took one of her eyes
I love that they aged up the classic characters and gave them all master fighting stances.

This isn't a knock to Street Fighter but this really showed how much Tekken put into the whole muscle flexing thing. It doesn't matter really, but tech wise it really sticks out when you compare Zangief to Marshal Law.
They’re all so overwhelmingly attractive I’m gonna buy the game just to look at the models
The "Harley Quinn" character is Juri Han and she was introduced, if I remember correctly, in SF5... and she's not just wicked, she's straight up bad news. She's a korean fighter whose sadism and cruelty are incredible. HEr whole fighting style is based on her agility and causing horrible injuries on her opponents: fractures, dislocating limbs, tearing muscles and tendons... nothing is really off the table... and she LOVES IT! She was mainly introduced as a nemesis for Cammy, hunting down and destroying Bison's dolls (the brainwashed female fighters unit of whom Cammy was once the leader, under the codename "Killer Bee") for having killed her father when she was a child, and she won't stop for something as irrelevant (to her) as a doll not working for Bison anymore.
