Rich, unhook the rear shock and put a jack under the swing arm to get the weight off it and try again. If it’s still stuck you may need to heat up the carrier with a torch just for a few seconds
also you could try a timing gear puller and impact gun instead of the sledge hammer
put your mother in law on a treadmill, collect her sweat / grease, apply to the carrier, then get your mother in law to wack it with the sledge

After getting the mansion and the jet that cost millions, stockholm syndrome should already have become apparent enough to super easily irk out further donations from the paranoid people who don't want to burn in hell for all eternity. Oops, guess i'm going to a painful eternity for the random blasphemy, oh well.

even in france (europe) i can get a raptor 660r 700r 'not road legal' so no papers for 2000-3000€
so he could just have looked at a empty frame with no engine and saved 4000€ atleast...
Yo rich for that warped bolt you should warm up the joint around it with a blowtorch so that it gives you more room to work with
or just slip a sawzall blade in the joint and cut it, or learn how to swing a hammer like a man rather than tap at some bunched up duct tape like a girl

nah.. rather over pay for a rig where the only working part is the engine and then toss the engine and try and use the rest of it... he has deep pockets he'll just end up ordering the entire bike one part at a time as he realizes there wrecked

Cant say for sure that this is the problem your experiencing, but on fulll suspension mountain bikes the swing arm bolts occasionally have an often unseeable allen head inside of them that actually needs turned to get the swingarm bolt out. Hammered on one for like an hour one time before I realized it

Rich, dude DUDE, your videos are so damn funny and educational at the same time.
Rich, now that you’ve mastered welding dissimilar metals i.e. the gear shifter being aluminum (I believe most are Al) and the shaft being steel, may I suggest you try welding a steel slide hammer to the steel bolt. What better way to test your welding skills than to commit to a full slide hammer test of the weld. Just make sure a failure of the slide hammer weld doesn’t impale the Tesla parked next to the project. I’m popping up a bowl of popcorn for the next installment of this exciting episode. Great channel.
Would have been more enjoyable to work on if you took 5 minutes to power wash it before starting.
If it wasn't a special bolt that I couldn't find a replacement for, then I'd cut it off at the straight end and drift it out from that side. Probably using a smaller hammer.

To get my swing arm bolt out I had to drill and tap the the swing arm bolt itself and then custom make a slide hammer with a bolt welded on the end of the slide hammer that would fit into the tapped hole inside the swing arm bolt
The fact that the swingarm bolt was hollow down the center of it helped this endeavor and when I bought my new swingarm bolt I drilled and tapped it a head of time before I stuck it in that way I wouldn’t have to try and tap it while it was on the bike at some future date

thats a nice idea for a stripped shifter. u will have to split the cases and replace anyways, might as well just weld it to the shifter!!

Maybe air chisel? Or cut the bolt and get a new one if you can get access to an exposed area. I think there is a small spot where it's exposed. Then you should be able to yank it out with some Vice grips, hammering, and more cutting haha.

The swing arm bolt also a motor mount? Try loosening up the other motor mounts and slightly lifting/lowering the motor with a jack under the pan while knocking the bolt.

hey, next time you want to remove a long pin like the one holding the engine in place, just lift a bit, just to take off the load on the pin it self, the heavy thing (in this case the engine) with a jack and it comes right off

You may just have to drill it out. If there's access on the back side, then you can sawzall the bolt shaft, pull the short straight section out normally once you've cut out the bent part.
Before watching this vid all I have to say is that you can build anything that anybody else has built the specifications are out there you can match them you can definitely do it!
If a vehicle is out there for the public to buy they have to have the specifications somebody has to look it over to make sure it’s safe.
Most of the time the engineers are not as slick as you think they are, they reuse ideas all the time and they they use materials that are already out. There might be one or two items that are specially manufactured for that car but other than that you can do it and even if you don’t have the exact parts you can come close for sure!
Biggest point: people are not that creative on average especially engineers.
Use a torch to heat up the warped part to red glow hot to soften it, then hammer it out again.

Dude you’re channels got 666k subscribers! The only other way I would think to get that bolt out would be to drill through it and try and pull the chunks out? Maybe drilling a small hole in the bolt, welding an extension to it and try and pull it out with a wench?
