It was my father who built the first ever Buddhist Temple/ Meditation Centre with a group of Sri Lankans who were working in East Africa -in Darasalam in 1933, I visited that meditation centre last year for the first time, I wish my father could have watched this program, he would have been so happy, may he attain Nibbhana.
I'm so happy that africans are practising dharma too. May dharma flourish in Africa and dispel all darkness and suffering in that continent. I pray for you.

Great joy came up as I watched this. In my life I go the Buddha’s way of mindfulness. What is the result ? More understanding., love, peace, gratitude, health, and enjoyment of the whole process of living with others. In recent years I have learned a lot from Ajahn Brahm ; the abbot of the monastery in Perth, Western Australia. It makes me happy when I see Buddhist Monks in South Africa.

This can be considered to be a system of teaching positive self-transformation to South Africans. It is praiseworthy to show them light. They can come from darkness to light by understanding Buddhist teachings. Peaceful religion can easily go to any kind people those who are not practicing extremism. Buddhism should spread across the entire globe. It teaches peace, self responsibility, care for the environment and all living things, and it has a set of rules that is clear for anyone to follow. Most humanity needs rules as rules are made for those who need it to live a clean, good life.

Great joy came up as I watched this. In my life I go the Buddha’s way of mindfulness. What is the result ? More understanding., love, peace, gratitude, health, and enjoyment of the whole process of living with others. In recent years I have learned a lot from Ajahn Brahm ; the abbot of the monastery in Perth, Western Australia. It makes me happy when I see Buddhist Monks in South Africa.
The history of Buddhism spans from the 6th century BCE to the present. Buddhism arose in the eastern part of Ancient India, in and around the ancient Kingdom of Magadha (now in Bihar, India), and is based on the teachings of Siddhārtha Gautama. This makes it one of the oldest religions practiced today. The religion evolved as it spread from the northeastern region of the Indian subcontinent through Central, East, and Southeast Asia.

This can be considered to be a system of teaching positive self-transformation to South Africans. It is praiseworthy to show them light. They can come from darkness to light by understanding Buddhist teachings. Peaceful religion can easily go to any kind people those who are not practicing extremism. May African friends understand simple dharma points at first! May they cultivate kusala kammas! May they enjoy happiness of mind!

When I was UK for seven years,,at that time work work work...I about to indifference due to one sided job meanwhile I used to go mall TK max to see Buddha scalpture to keep mind peace
We practicing Buddhism in west need it for peace of mind from greed, speed of life but guys in Africa I think they are living on hardest level much like it was in India in times of Buddha poverty, hunger, sickness.
