    Long time listener, first time commenter. I just had a mommy makeover with Dr. Martin. I did a ton of research before choosing him to be the one to slice and dice me. My personal opinion is that he is a surgical ninja. His entire office staff is so amazing and helpful. You know how doctors and nurses will do a little knock on your door before entering to see you? On the morning of my surgery, Dr. Martin barged through my door like a squirrel on crack and was pumped up and ready to go! He loves what he does and wants you also to be in a good mental state before the procedure. You are taken care of like royalty from beginning to end. He had a huge challenge with me being 53 and having orangutan tits and a belly flap that could blind fold an elephant. What he skillfully did was damn near magical!
    On a personal note to Jason, it's called Beauty and the Surgeon. Try to at least squeeze Amy's picture in with yours you ego maniac!

    My surgeon suggested milk thistle and arnica before surgery.
    How about Bromaline? Is it helpful to add for inflmmation to prevent bruiding after or before surgery and or even before injectable?
    Still healing from surgery, but I will be getting a sculptra maintenance treatment later this month.

    • @JasonMartinMD
      @JasonMartinMD  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Monica! Yes, we cover bromelain in our first supplementation episode. It's a great post-op supplement that does help manage inflammation and reduce bruising, just remember to take it at least 30 minutes before or after meals to get the most benefit.

    its any particular supplement you recommend for a rhinoplasty?

    • @JasonMartinMD
      @JasonMartinMD  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question! We will be answering this on our next Q&A episode. Traumeel (arnica), bromelaine, and zinc supreme would be my top three, but all recommendations from this episode would apply for a rhinoplasty. Thank you for watching!

    If I bought Juven and Woundvite, would you still approve taking some of these supplements you mention in Pt 1 and 2 or do you think Juven/Woundvite would be adequate? Do you ever recommend Juven/Woundvite? I want to optimize all beneficial nutrients, minerals, etc. but I don't want to go overboard at the same time.

    • @JasonMartinMD
      @JasonMartinMD  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Hi Emily! I do not recommend those supplements but they are a fine choice. The only thing I would recommend adding is Traumeel.

      @@JasonMartinMD Thank you. What confuses me is that I think I recall both of you saying not to take echinachea around surgery but then Traumeel has that in it. Can you clarify?

    • @JasonMartinMD
      @JasonMartinMD  2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes, we do request no echinacea supplementation prior to surgery. The typical dose in OTC supplements is very large and as with most things, 'the poison is in the dose'. The amount of echinacea in Traumeel is minimal and beneficial for recovery.

    One can never blame the patient. The doctor has to be the judge and be the decider, if they can do the procedure and if the patient can benefit from certain procedures. Patients are very trusting of the doctor

      Hi Margery, thanks for watching and commenting! We are going to be doing a deep dive on this topic on our March 1, 2024 episode. One of the main reasons we podcast is to make sure patients have access to information about elective surgery so they can make informed decisions with the assistance of a board certified surgeon. Knowlede is power!

    Best thing to do for hair restoration? My hair has thinned out dramatically (very fine and thin hair) so I started taking Nutrafol supplements but saw an ad on your video for red light therapy and have heard of minoxidil for years. What is the most effective method to regrow hair/stop hair thinning?

    • @JasonMartinMD
      @JasonMartinMD  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Jessica! Hair thinning/restoration solutions can really vary from person to person and often requires a multifaceted approach. We like to make sure that diet and digestion are in check first. Redlight therapy and dermarolling are good at home options for helping with growth and regrowth. Minoxidil does also work for most people as long as it is used daily.

    Wow, the best episode! Thank you so much!
    Can Glutathione be taken immediately after surgery (the next day) or better to wait a week or two?
    And for Traumeel tablets: would you recommend starting it a few days before surgery? Or it's taken only after surgery?
    (will discuss it with my surgeon, of course. just trying to gather some info in advance:)

    • @JasonMartinMD
      @JasonMartinMD  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thank you for watching! Yes, we have our patients start glutathione the day after surgery. We recommend starting Traumeel 3 days preop, just 1 tab 3x per day preop, you can bump it up to 6x per day post op.
